A/N – Hello! Mibs is back! She apologizes for the delay, and blames it on her lack of true free time. She hopes you enjoy her latest chapter.
Aphrodite and Aphrodite?: We all know Aphrodite is obsessed with herself. We all know that she cares more for herself than she does for even her "husband", Hephaestus. Read on to discover evidence of Aphrodite's undying love for herself. There is no better way to truly understand the goddess of love.
Aphrodite: Aww, yet another person loves me! :')
Athena: No emoticons.
Aphrodite: Why not? :(
Hermes: *groans* Did you really have to ask that? :(
Athena: When languages were created, when writing was created, it was not intended for punctuation marks and other characters to be thrown together to create something as asinine and pointless as a smiley face. Let's analyze your disgusting "frowny face" there. The first character is a colon. The definition of a colon is a punctuation mark that is used to divide sentence components and clauses in which the second supports the first, or to introduce a list, quotation, or speech. The second character opens the parentheses. The parentheses are pair of symbols used to separate or mark an explanatory remark or side note. I sincerely doubt that the "creators" or languages meant for the colon to be used as a pair of eyes, or half of a parentheses to signify a frown. It is not proper to use emoticons, so you should not use them, no matter the circumstance. Is this an adequate explanation for my dislike of emoticons?
Hermes: Very adequate.
Apollo: Too adequate.
Aphrodite: I love emoticons. :)
Athena: I don't.
Aphrodite: Well, I do. :)
Hermes: I believe we got into this argument several weeks ago.
Athena: Perhaps, but we did not resolve it.
Hermes: Well, now isn't the time. As you can see, Hephaestus has been kind enough to write an article about Aphrodite.
Aphrodite: That's so sweet!
Ares: Hey, don't go back to him.
Aphrodite: Never.
Hephaestus: Did you care to read it?
Aphrodite: Ares told me not to. He said it was awful. I bet he was right.
Hermes: You have to read it. It was hilarious.
Hephaestus: I'd appreciate it if you didn't call my work hilarious. You make it seem like a joke. It is not a joke.
Hermes: It's not?
Hephaestus: It's not. Aphrodite's in a relationship with herself.
Apollo: She is? Aha, perfect material for a haiku.
Artemis: No. Not a haiku. You couldn't be more cruel.
Apollo: I could, actually.
Artemis: I doubt it.
Apollo: Two haikus. :P
Artemis: No haikus!
Apollo: Ahem!
Athena says that
Emoticons are so bad
I do not see why
Artemis: *dies of mental pain*
Hermes: *dies of laughter*
Athena: I have two points to make on your statements there, Artemis and Hermes. Number one! Gods are immortal. You are not capable of dying. Number two! Assuming you were actually dying, somehow, you would not be expending your energy typing.
Hermes: Whatever. *dies from shame* Not.
Apollo: Here goes. To help Hephy out a bit.
Aphrodite loves
Herself so says Hephaestus
It is so so true
Artemis: *facepalm*
Hermes: *headdesk*
Aphrodite: Of course I love myself. Who doesn't?
Athena: I don't.
Artemis: I most certainly do not.
Aphrodite: Well, of course you two don't. You're Athena, and you're, like, the loser goddess who doesn't marry anyone.
Athena: I don't marry.
Aphrodite: Whatever. Yes, I love myself. Everyone decent loves me.
Hermes: No, like, you love yourself. Get me?
Aphrodite: Oh, like that?
Hermes: Yeah. Not Hephaestus, not Ares.
Aphrodite: Of course not Hephaestus. But...Ares!
Ares: Yeah?
Aphrodite: Don't believe him! Hephy's a liar.
Ares: You're only just realizing that now?
Aphrodite: No! He's a liar.
Apollo: Hire me and I'll make a haiku about it for you, Aph.
Aphrodite: Not a chance.
Apollo: I'll make it extra good...
Aphrodite: Sure you will.
Apollo: *is offended* I will!
Artemis: The words "haiku" and "good" dont? Sorry. I came up with that fabulastic idea. That's better. Sorry again.
Artemis: *rolls eyes*
Aphrodite: What?
Athena: Genius is a word, actually, it just doesn't apply to you. And fabulastic is not a word.
Aphrodite: Wait, is genius a word, or is it not? You said it wasn't...and then you said it was.
Artemis: You're so gullible.
Aphrodite: Gullible?
Hermes: Idiotic works better.
Artemis: Perhaps, yes. And yes, Aphrodite. Gullible.
Aphrodite: You're just being mean now. I know you're making it up. Gullible isn't a word.
Artemis: *facepalm*
Athena: Don't rush to judge others, Aphrodite. Gullible is most certainly a word.
Aphrodite: You're mean.
Hermes: Earlier you loved her because she noted your favorite shipping. Right?
Aphrodite: When was that?
Hermes: Ah, well... *shrugs* Sometime.
Apollo: Aphrodite is
So gullible, right?
What does that mean?
Artemis: *facepalm* You can't count, can you?
Apollo: Better than Aphrodite can, I'm sure.
Aphrodite: You guys are so mean. You'd better watch it, or I'll move to Canada. All you annoying people are centered in this awful country. You can't go there, so it'll be the best time of my life.
I'm not as stupid as you say. You're just mean.
Athena: We can travel to Canada as easily as you can, but as you should know, western civilization is in the United States. Canada might be next, if it makes you feel better.
Aphrodite: It doesn't, because you'll be coming with me. Right?
Athena: Correct.
Hephaestus: Come on. Aphrodite-Aphrodite.
Aphrodite: It's beautiful!
Hermes: ...Does that count as incest?
Aphrodite: Does it matter? Aphrodite-Aphrodite for the win!
Apollo: You're weird.
Aphrodite: Gosh Apollo, you're mean! Calling me weird... :'(
Athena: I'll consider you weird for as long as you use those pathetic emoticons.
Hermes: xD
Apollo: Don't be such a killlight, Athena. :(
Artemis: Thanks, Apollo deserves that. :)
Athena: You're all weird.
Artemis: Very. :)
Aphrodite: Love is not weird, Athena.
Artemis: It's the weirdest thing there is. I mean, didn't you even read the article?
Aphrodite: Of course I did. It's amazing.
Hephaestus: Forum's closing now.
Aphrodite: Why? NO SPOTLIGHT, DON'T GO.
Hephaestus: You've had enough of the spotlight. Show's over, good night, go to bed and never again get up. Thanks.
A/N - Sorry for the ridiculously long delay. Hopefully the next chapter will take less time. Hopefully...
Any ideas?
Thanks and please review!
