How I see so clearly now

But I had no wish to pass,
I cared not if I were to fail (though I was certain I would not)
Because I knew that you resided
Inside Konoha, so green.
The sand whispered to me at night
Telling me of how you would accept my gifts
A fantasy, but nothing more.
The true words being said
That the sand, she wouldn't outright say
Were slowly becoming clearer.
And on the night before we left for your village
I stared at the moon,
And was given my answer.

I threw those old withered organs away
And set my sights upon something different.
Yes, the light is shining again.
