"The next battle will be Tyler of Blackthorn city!" announced the ref. The crowd erupted in cheers as they saw the 1st round elite 4 defeater. "And he will be taking on Sinnoh elite 4 member Bertha." Informed the official. Louder cheers were heard from the Sinnoh sections in the stands.
The ref explained the rules. "This will be a 2 on 2 battle with no substitutions. Last side standing wins. Begin."
"I shall call on Hippowdon and Gliscor." Said Bertha as her 2 powerful ground types hit the field.
"Come on Lapras and Sceptile!" Yelled Tyler as he threw his to pokemon to his side of the field.
Hippowdon use fire fang on Sceptile.
Hippowdon's mouth caught fire and lunged at the forest pokemon.
Lapras use hydro pump!
Gliscor use stone edge.
As Lapras shot a powerful force of water at Hippowdon, Gliscor had defended it with a dozen sharp rocks that circling itself.
Tyler had no other choice. Sceptile use leaf blade on Hippowdon!
Sceptile's arm leaves grew bigger and it tried to slash at Hippowdon only to be bit by its massive jaw and hit by the super effective fire attack.
Go Gliscor.
Gliscor fired its stones and it the vulnerable Lapras causing another super effective attack.
Both of Tyler's pokemon were knocked down. Any ordinary trainer would have been beat by now, but Tyler pokemon was stronger than most trainer's.
Sceptile use leaf storm!
Leaves started to gather around Sceptile as they flew together at Bertha's pokemon.
Gliscor use X-Scissor.
Gliscor flew forth and slashed the leaf storm head on and dispersed the leaves.
"So this is the power of the Sinnoh elite 4." Said Iris.
"This is one tough battle." Added Tracey.
"I sure hope that Tyler can pull of another win." Hoped Ash.
Hippowdon use dig.
Hippowdon buried beneath the ground.
"Now is my chance." Tyler thought. Sceptile use leaf blade on Gliscor!
Sceptile's arm leaves grew once more and swung them at Gliscor.
Gliscor dodge it.
Gliscor flew up an avoided the grass attack.
Quick Lapras use hydro pump in the hole! And Sceptile use leaf storm!
Lapras shot its attack directly into the hole, while Sceptile turned to its right and launched leaf storm in the hole to. After both attacks were launched the power of the 2 combined moves blasted Hippowdon out of the ground and it fell down on the field unconscious.
"Hippowdon is unable to battle." Announced the ref.
Alright Gliscor use Arial ace on Sceptile.
Gliscor flew at a high speed at the forest gecko and landed a critical hit.
"Sceptile is unable to battle." Called the ref again. It was down to Gliscor and Lapras. The winner would advance to the final 32.
Lapras use surf.
Lapras started to ride a giant wave.
Gliscor use stone edge.
Gliscor's stone edge sliced through the wave and collapsed it. Lapras began plummeting to the ground when it was given another command.
Now Lapras use ice beam!
The transport pokemon fired a blue beam from its mouth that made a clean hit on Gliscor. Being a ground/flying type, Gliscor took heavy damage and was defeated.
"Gliscor is unable to battle, Lapras wins and victory goes to Tyler of Blackthorn city!"
The crowd went berserk over watching the defeat of a 2nd elite 4 member by the same person. They erupted in cheers for the wonder trainer and elite 4 conqueror.
Tyler later met up with the group outside the stadium.
"Tyler that was amazing!" Said Dawn.
"Congratulations man." Added Brock.
"I can't believe you did it again, you're one of the most incredible trainers I've ever seen." Said Gary in awe.
"Thanks to all of you for cheering me on. I owe a lot to Lapras and Sceptile to."
"From a pokemon breeder's perspective, I can tell they're very well trained." Complimented Brock.
"Say Dawn, aren't you next?" Asked May.
"Oh my gosh, I totally forgot!" Screamed Dawn as she ran out to the battlefield entrance.
"Oh this I gotta see." Said Gary as led the group out to the stands.
