Chapter NINE

Mikoto lay down on the couch, then adjusted the pillow because of the armrest digging into her head.

Gunha and Accelerator were on the floor. They looked so uncomfortable that Mikoto was glad she had won the game of rock paper scissors.

Mikoto had realized that she was now tensing every time something rustled outside the room. Closing her eyes, she finally managed to fall into restless

Accelerator strained his ears and checks that Mikoto had fallen asleep. He nodded to Gunha, and they both sat up.

"What do you think?" Accelerator asked. "Think we can trust that Yoru girl?"

Gunha frowned. "I'm not sure. She hasn't done anything suspicious so far."

"She hasn't told us why she appeared all of a sudden, all injured." Accelerator said.

"As far as we can see, Yoru is pretty strong. If someone like her could get that injured, the person who hurt her would be super strong. "Gunha mused.

Accelerator smirked at him. "For someone stupid, you can be pretty smart."

"Well, thanky- wait, what?" Gunha asked.

Accelerator chuckled, then lay back down. Gunha followed his example.

"Night." Gunha muttered.

"Hn." Accelerator grunted. "Night."

Mikoto woke to the faint sound of birds chirping outside the window. She opened her eyes, and for a moment, she panicked. This was not her dorm room. Then yesterdays happenings rushed through her head, and she sat up.

She glanced at the clock, and noted it was already eleven. Accelerator, Gunha and Yoru were all still asleep.

Mikoto stretched, and got up. She quickly borrowed the bathroom and washed her face. She looked down at her dirty wrinkled, ripped clothes and made a mental note to go back to her dorm and get new clothes while Kuroko was out.

Mikoto exited the bathroom and noticed that Gunha was now awake. He sat up, and waved unsteadily at Mikoto.

Beside him, Accelerator groaned and rolled over, before rubbing his eyes. He let out a yawn, sat up, and ran a hand through his messy white hair. He kicked off the sheets, and stalked into the bathroom.

Mikoto quickly got out of the way. She went over to where Yoru was still asleep and checked on her. Her breathing was even, her forehead wasn't hot, and she seemed to be sleeping soundly.

Mikoto was glad there was no school, due to the day being Sunday. The three level fives agreed that they should stay put for today, and start moving once everyone had recovered. They ate the left over from yesterday's delivery dinner for breakfast-lunch, and spent most of the day mopping around.

It was around four in the evening. Mikoto and Accelerator were in the middle of a heated debate on whether Gekota was appropriate for people Mikoto's age.

"And what's wrong with liking Gekota?" Mikoto snapped.

Accelerator sneered. "Its childish."

Mikoto breathed in sharply. "And whats wrong with liking something childish?"

"Well, expected from miss girly." Accelerator said.

"I don't want to hear girly form you, Mr Lolicon." Mikoto relied.

Accelerator's eye twitched. "Mr...Loli...con?"

Mikoto covered her mouth with her hand to try and stop the sudden fit of laughter that threatened to escape, but failed measurably. Soon, she was laughing like crazy, her hands clutching her stomach.

"Yeah...your...unusual relationship with Last Order is a bit...suspicious." Mikoto finally stopped, and tried to catch her breath.

Accelerator clicked his tongue, and snapped back. Mikoto replied with the same amount of venom.

Once in a while, one of them would ask for Gunha's opinion, but he ignored them. Gunha was too busy watching TV, and nothing Mikoto or Accelerator said seemed to reach him.

Gunha suddenly looked up from the TV. He frowned, and turned back to the screen, but then looked up again. "I'm hungry." He announced..

Mikoto tilted her head to one side. "So?" She asked.

Gunha frowned again, then turned back to the TV. "Can we eat?"

"Eat what?" Mikoto asked. "We finished all the leftovers from yesterday."

Accelerator yawned. "Just order again."

Mikoto nodded. "Lets just order delivery."

Gunha shrug. "I don't mind, as long as I can eat."

Just then, there was a sharp gasp, and the three level fives whipped around in time to see Yoru sit it. She looked around wildly, before relaxing. "We're eating?" She asked.

Mikoto nodded.

Yoru frowned. "Are we going eat something?" She asked.

Mikoto nodded again. Yoru tensed. "Uh..."

Gunha spoke up. "Yup! We're ordering food."

Accelerator yawned. "Now that you're awake, get out of my bed, brat."

Yoru glared at him. "How long was I out?"

"The fight was yesterday. It's Sunday today." Yoru said.

Yoru nodded. "We'll start acting tomorrow, so for now, lets eat and make some sort of plan."

The food came half an hour after Mikoto had made the call.

Everyone gratefully dug into their katsudon.

After a few mouthfuls, Mikoto spoke up. "So, what tomorrow?"

Yoru muttered something, and Oracion slithered off, returning with the handle of a small bag in its mouth. Yoru took it from him, and opened the bag. She then dumped its contents onto the table. There were around thirty blue crystal like devices, each half the size of a fist.

Yoru held one up. "These are called MBD, or magic barricade device." She said. "When you place these around a place, an invisible barrier will appear. It's very hard to break."

"Wont that cause normal people problems?" Mikoto asked.

Yoru shook her head. "Nope. I had my... organization... set the basic settings before I came here, so the MBD's will only block the entrance and the exit for the Black Jack."

"We're going to place these around the borders of academy city." Yoru pulled out a map from the bag. "The placed marked by the red stars are the placed we're going to place the device." She explained. "Their easy to set, and will let off an alarm connected to this device," Yoru pulled out a mobile phone like item. "if a Black Jack member tries to enter Academy City."

"I suspect that there aren't many Black Jack members in the Academy city. If we can stop back up from entering, it'll make things easier for us." Yoru said. "First thing tomorrow, we'll go to one of the locations, and I'll show you how to set one up. After that, we'll split into to two groups and go around each location, and set them up."

Accelerator muttered something along the lines of 'boring' and 'troublesome', but agreed to the plan nonetheless.

Gunha stretched. "I'm tired. I'm gonna borrow the bathroom." He leaped to his feet, and knocking into the table.

Yoru's chopsticks fell onto the floor.

"Ops, sorry." Gunha apologized.

Yoru smiled. "It's okay." She said. She got off her chair, and crouched. Mikoto watched as Yoru reached out her hand's looking for the pair of chopsticks. Mikoto frowned. Couldn't Yoru see the chopsticks lying a meter in front of her?

Gunha didn't seem to notice anything as he reached down and picked them up. He handed them to Yoru, then scampered off the bathroom.

Yoru wiped them on the edge of her shirt, and started eating again.

After a while, Yoru opened her mouth. "Can I have a tissue please?" She asked.

Accelerator looked at her. "The box is right in front of you." He said.

Yoru stiffened. "She reached out hesitantly, and curled her fingers around a sheet. "Sorry, I didn't notice."

"Wait." Mikoto turned to face Yoru. "How many fingers am holding up?" She asked, lifting four fingers. Her hand casted shadows across the floor.

"Four." Yoru replied.

Mikoto moved her hand abit, so her hands no longer created shadows, and held up one finger.

Yoru frowned. Oracion appeared out from under the pillow, slithered up Yoru's arm and hissed. "O-one."

Gunha came back, and stared between Mikoto and Yoru. He raised his hand. "What are you doing?" He asked.

Mikoto ignored him. "You're blind, aren't you?"

I'm actually not really please with this chapter, but I didn't have any other ideas on how to make the Level Fives realize that Yoru is blind. Explanations will come later. (Prob in the next chapter)
