Finally updated! Once again I'm distracted with a new fic -.- I'm not very smart. But, at least I finally got back to KenShuu. For now..

Shuuhei wasn't sure what to expect during lunch, but he certainly had some questions for Rangiku. After getting a few more hours of sleep he brushed his teeth and headed out for the tenth division. The conversation he and Rangiku had was still fresh in his mind and he really wanted to know why she knew so much about stress. He also wanted to know if they had some kind of drunk conversation last night since he didn't remember anything but had a strange sense of deja vu. Plus, why didn't she mention being a lieutenant for that long? Not that it ever came up in conversation, but it would have been nice to know.

Here I thought we were the same age.

Tracking her spiritual pressure, he ended up in the office she shared with Captain Hitsugaya, who surprisingly wasn't there. He supposed it was a good thing since Toshiro probably wouldn't let her go out for lunch, and then Shuuhei wouldn't get his answers. She looked up from her work and smiled, looking slightly relieved to see him. He assumed she didn't want to do paperwork anymore and was surprised she was even doing any of it.

"Shuuhei, you made it! Shall we go?" She asked, walking over to him. He was once again surprised when she hugged him, getting that weird feeling again. He couldn't understand why he felt this way. Rangiku had been his crush for so long, so why would he suddenly feel weird around her? And why was she acting different? He really needed some information.

"Sure thing. Did you have anywhere in mind?" He asked, not surprised when she picked a bar. But when they got there, she merely ordered food, and for once said no to sake. Shuuhei was starting to get scared. Where was the Rangiku from last night?!

"So, Rangiku, there's something I've been wanting to ask you." He started, surprised when she cut him off.

"There's something I want to ask you too, Shuuhei. And I already know what you're going to ask." She said, giving him a disapproving look. He shrunk back a little, feeling nervous suddenly.

"R-really?"

"Yes, really. I'm not telling you anything either. I already know you're wondering why I haven't told anyone my age, or why I seem so experienced with what you're going through. And yes, we did have a drunk conversation last night and you told me a few things, things I want answers to." She explained, and Shuuhei found himself too shocked to reply. How could she possibly know all of that?

"So, I know why you've been stressed. You've been taking care of your division all by yourself for quite some time and therefore you got use to it. But now that Kensei's back you don't have as much to do, and it bothers you. So even though your body and mind need it, you won't take a break and let him be Captain. It's a hard thing to adjust to, I get it. Especially for someone like you who is such a workaholic." She began, and Shuuhei could only nod dumbly.

"And I get that in the past you've also struggled with stress, back when you had to adjust to Captain Tosen's betrayal. And I get that you're too stubborn and proud to ask for help."

"Okay.. So what did you want to ask me? It sounds like you've figured everything out." He asked, wondering what she could possibly need to know.

"I didn't figure any of this out, Shuuhei, you told me last night. And what I want to know, is what are you going to do?" She asked. He felt instantly mortified that he would tell anyone all of that, especially her.

"Uh.. Well, I have orders from Unohana to rest... And after that I guess I'll just let Captain Muguruma do his job. There's not much else I can do." He replied with a shrug. She once again surprised him by shaking her head.

"Not about that, silly. I know you're capable of handling this. What I want to know is what are you going to do about your love life?"

"Uh...excuse me?" He asked in disbelief, a red tint covering his face. Had she really invited him to lunch just to talk about this? Why? "Oh God.. Tell me I didn't talk about this last night too.." He groaned, wishing he would just get swallowed by the ground right now.

"Sorry Shuuhei!" She said, not looking very sorry at all. "You said you've also been stressed about your love life, or lack of one, too. So what are you going to do about it? I'm sure there are plenty of girls who would date you."

"Yeah.. Right.. There's kinda only one girl I want to date." He said, pausing when she gave him a strange look. "But I'm sure you already know that too. Because I told you. Right?"

"You sure did!" She exclaimed, laughing as his head promptly hit the table. Why, why did he drink? Why couldn't he just listen to Unohana and take it easy? "Don't be like that, Shuuhei. You'll just make yourself feel worse. I'm sorry, but I'm not the one for you. That's why I want to help you find someone else." She said, causing his already dampened mood to deflate even further.

What else can go wrong today?

"Thanks, but it's a bit humiliating to get help from a girl I liked. I don't even know where to look for someone else."

"There's plenty of places to look! How about Hinamori?"

"Your Captain likes her."

"Oh yeah.." She muttered, and Shuuhei suddenly felt like she was about to list off every girl in soul society. "How about Rukia?" Yep, he was right.

"Doesn't she like Ichigo? Plus I thought Renji liked her... Not to mention Captain Kuchiki being over protective. I'd rather live, Thank you." He replied, shivering at the idea of being sliced to pieces by Senbonzakura.

"Okay... Maybe Nemu?"

"And have to deal with Captain Kurotsuchi? Hell no!" That would be even worse than Byakuya.

"Nanao?"

"Too serious. And scary."

"Soi Fon?"

"Rangiku.. Be serious."

"Orihime."

"Like I'd get in the way of her and her Ichigo complex."

"Isane?"

"Too tall."

"Yoruichi."

"Can we stay in my league? Not that you were in my league either..."

"You're so picky!" She yelled, finally giving up. It seemed that Shuuhei really had been stuck on her and refused to even consider anyone else. That was a problem, since he really needed someone to keep him busy. "You might as well be gay then. You'd have more options."

"Rangiku! There's no way I'd ever be gay!" He yelled, face turning red once again. He honestly wondered where she got these ideas.

"What? There's nothing wrong with being gay. Just look at Ikkaku and Yumichika."

Wait.. What?!

"Th-they're not gay! Are you crazy?!"

"Are you blind? Yumichika is obviously gay, and Ikkaku.. Well, he actually didn't want me saying anything, now that I think of it. But they've been together for decades." She said, and it took him a moment to realize she was serious.

"What the hell! What else don't I know about?!" He yelled. Sure, he always kinda knew Yumichika swung that way. But Ikkaku.. And they're together!

"I shouldn't say. Besides, we're talking about you. I can totally picture you gay! And you know I'm usually right about these things! I should be a fortune teller!" She said, clearly getting lost on her own fantasies.

"I'm not gay, and I'll never be gay." He said, completely getting ignored.

"You could date Izuru, or Renji, or maybe even Kensei!"

"Izuru and Renji aren't gay! Neither is Captain! Or me!"

"Oh please, Izuru could definitely be gay. He always did admire Gin a little too much. And Renji... Come on, he's super gay."

"You're sick!"

"Plus you and Kensei already have matching tattoos. You're practically a couple."

"Wha?! How did you know that!? I've never told anyone why I got this tattoo." He said, wondering what else this woman knew. It was way too disturbing.

"I've known him way before you, remember? I've seen his tattoo before while he was training. You two already have such a romantic back story too! He saved you as a kid, and now over a century later he's your Captain! Plus those tattoos open up so many sexy ideas.."

"Rangiku?!" He shrieked, completely forgetting they were in public. Where the hell did she get these ideas? He would never like Kensei like that, he's not even gay!

And our tattoos aren't sexual dammit!

"Just think about it will you? If no other girl sounds good enough then it's time to switch to guys. I'd love another gay friend."

"Okay, that's it, I'm leaving. You've gone insane." He said, wanting to get far away from her before she actually started making sense. He knew damn well she could be persuasive. Luckily she only laughed as he walked out of the restaurant instead of following him. He needed some peace and quiet, and for once actually wanted to go home.

I mean, come on, me? Gay? And with Kensei, of all people. Not gonna happen.

He doesn't know what's going to happen *Snorts* Poor Shuuhei! This took literally forever! I really need to get back to school before my brain completely falls apart. I think most of its already mush.. T-T
