Caroline was driving into Mystic Falls. Stefan was sitting in next to her while Klaus was in the back sleeping. They hit a bump and Klaus woke up. He looked out the window and saw they were driving into town. He perked up and started looking at the old town and how much it had changed.
"What happened to everything?" Klaus asked
"A lot's changed since you left" Stefan said
"Do they still have tacos?" Klaus asked
"Yes, they still have tacos, they're not as good as they used to be" Caroline said
"What's the Grill?" Klaus asked
"It's where everyone hangs out now" Caroline said
Caroline parked the car in her driveway. She got out of the car and headed towards the door.
"Mom! Mom!" Caroline yelled
Liz walked out and saw her daughter. She saw Stefan and Klaus whom she didn't recognize.
"Who's your friend?" Liz asked
"Stefan?" Caroline asked
"No, the other one, that I haven't met" Liz said
"That's Klaus, I mean Nik, remember Nik?" Caroline said
"Little Nik that lived next door?" Liz asked
"That would be me" Klaus answered
Liz took a minute to look at Klaus, at what he had grown up into. And she took note of the accent as well.
"You certainly grew up" Liz said
"Mom!"
"Something's happening at the station, I'll be back soon" Liz said
"Ok" Caroline said
Stefan and Klaus walked into Caroline's house. Klaus hadn't been inside since he was a kid. He looked around and saw pictures of Caroline in high school. Caroline walked in and headed for the kitchen.
"So are you really going to stay here Stefan?" Caroline asked
"It's going to be so weird if I don't stay here" Stefan said
"It's only weird if you let it be weird. Elena's staying with Jenna, so it's just you and your brother"
"Even more weird. I don't want to be alone with him, then he wants to talk or pretend to talk, I don't want or need that"
"Then let Klaus stay at your place then"
"That makes it weird too" Klaus said
"How?" Caroline asked
"His own brother doesn't want to stay there, and I'm there instead?" Klaus said
"You could be a buffer" Caroline said
"I don't want to be a buffer" Klaus said
"Fine, you both stay in the guest room" Caroline said
There was fake snow being blown into the air as Caroline, Klaus and Stefan walked into the annual Winter Wonderland. They walked around, looking at the vendor's booth and the decorations. Stefan was keeping an eye out for his brother and Elena. He didn't want to deal with them. Klaus looked around and saw the kids playing and running around. He saw the fake snowmen standing around and then being knocked over to the ground. He saw a young Damon and Stefan knocking over the snowman and running off. He turned and saw a young Caroline dressed in pink holding a cup of hot chocolate. He saw himself running up to her and smiling.
"You're stepping on my mitten" Caroline said
"Huh?" Nik asked
"Move your feet" Caroline said
Nik moved his feet and saw that he stepped on her pink mitten. She pulled her arm up and the mitten which was attached to a long string pulled off the ground.
"Sorry" Nik said
"It's ok. You want some, it has extra marshmallows"
"Ok"
Caroline handed him the hot chocolate and he took a sip and smiled at her. Giuseppe was yelling and chasing after his sons.
"What they do now?" Nik asked
"They were knocking over all the snowmen and reindeer. The mayor wasn't happy"
"Let's get out of here"
"Ok"
Caroline and Nik snuck back to the treehouse where they spent the rest of the afternoon together. They made a huge pile of snowballs inside to defend their treehouse. They heard Damon and Stefan coming and decided to attack. A snowball hit Damon on the head.
"Hey!" Damon yelled
"Protect the treehouse!" Nik yelled
"Snowball fight!" Stefan yelled
The kids threw snowballs at each other until they heard Giuseppe yelling. Damon and Stefan started running up the treehouse.
"Hide me!" Damon said
"No hide me!" Stefan said
"Boys! I know you're up there! Get down here right now or I swear I will take that tree house apart!" Giuseppe yelled
"You first" Damon pushed Stefan
Stefan looked out the window and saw his dad.
"Hey dad" Stefan said
"Get down here and bring your brother!" Giuseppe said
Klaus pulled himself out of his thoughts and saw Caroline standing there holding a cup of hot chocolate. He walked over to her.
"I'm not stepping on your mitten" Klaus said
"What?"
"Does that have extra marshmallows?"
"You know it does"
"And you're not going to offer me any? I'm hurt love"
"You're a big boy, you can afford your own"
"You're standing under the mistletoe!" a little girl yelled
Caroline looked up and saw that they were standing under the mistletoe.
"Now kiss!" the little girl said
Klaus took the hot chocolate out of her hands and took a sip. He then slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Her hands were on his chest as he leaned in and kissed her. Unable to resist she kissed him back. The two heard the sound of ew's from the children that had gathered around to watch them. Caroline pulled away and took her hot chocolate back. She took a sip and walked off.
Klaus was following Caroline back to her house. Caroline was a bit annoyed that he just kissed her in front of everyone. She walked up the steps and wanted to lock him out. She turned around and saw that he was halfway across the street walking towards the tree house. Caroline chased after him. Klaus was already climbing up to the treehouse.
"Klaus! What are you doing?!" Caroline yelled
"HEY! Get down from there!" Damon yelled
Klaus stuck his head into the treehouse and looked around. It was empty now, no pictures, or toys, just rotting wood.
"This is private property! You can't go climbing into people's trees!" Damon yelled
Klaus climbed down and looked at the dark haired man who was yelling at him.
"Damon?" Klaus asked
"Who the hell are you?" Damon asked
"Damon!" Caroline yelled
"Who is this? Your new boy toy blondie?" Damon said
"Damon Salvatore, all grown up" Klaus said
"Ok creepy guy that talks funny" Damon said
"It's Nik Damon" Caroline said
"Nik? Little Nik that used to follow you around? Nik that moved away that I said don't come back talking funny?"
"It's me!"
Damon suddenly smiled and embraced Klaus. They hugged and Caroline rolled her eyes.
"Some things never change" Caroline said
"You came back talking funny!" Damon said
"Well the ladies fancy that" Klaus said
"You must get tons of action with that. How the hell have you been?"
"Been good"
"So you and blondie?"
"NO!" Caroline yelled
"Too bad, I always figured you two would end up together"
"She's fighting me on it"
"Where you staying?"
"With Caroline"
"You sure you're not together? There's always room here if you want"
"Really?"
"Yeah, come on over, Elena would love to see you"
"Hey! He's staying with me!" Caroline yelled
"Looks like I struck a nerve" Damon smirked
Caroline walked back into her house with Klaus behind her. She went into her room and slammed the door behind her. She started taking off her earrings when Klaus opened the door to her room.
"Angry love?" Klaus asked
"No!"
"Then why are you so upset?"
"I'm not!"
"Sweetheart-"
"No! Don't! It's just like before, you'd all run off and leave me behind!"
Klaus smirked and pulled her by the waist closer to him.
"Is that what this is about? I thought you wanted me out of your house"
"I never said that"
"I do like this dress on you"
Klaus's fingers slid up the skin on her back under her white cardigan. They found the zipper and slowly started pulling it down.
"We can't"
"It's always been a fantasy of mine to have you in your own room"
"Klaus!"
Stefan was walking around the mall, trying to avoid running into his brother and Elena. Klaus found him sitting next to the water fountain. Klaus sat next to him.
"Still hiding from your brother?" Klaus asked
:Is it that obvious?" Stefan said
"A bit, ran into him before. He seems to be doing well. I take it you won't 'be spending the holidays at the Lockwoods?"
"I'd rather not"
"It's tradition"
"I doubt Caroline wants to go, with what happened with her and Tyler"
"Isn't that ancient history as she put it?"
"Right"
Klaus looked across at the woman's lingerie store and laughed.
"Remember that time when we ran in there?" Klaus asked
"How could I forget? Katherine was screaming at us. I still don't remember why we went in there"
"I went to look for Katherine"
"good thing Caroline wasn't around"
Katherine walked into the lingerie store. She had left Nik with Elijah to finish up their holiday shopping. Katherine wanted to get something for Elijah. The store was pink and black. There were mannequins in the window dressed in sexy lingerie with lace and pearls. Some had angel wings on and halos.
Nik grew restless and looked around. They saw Damon and Stefan pushing themselves in the rentable stroller carts. This one was shaped like a red car. Damon was pushing Stefan around as they terrorized the shoppers. Nik went off to follow them. He lost where they went and looked around. He realized he didn't know where Elijah was and began to panic. He looked around and saw Kat inside the store. Relief swept through him and he ran towards her. Katherine was walking towards the fitting room and Nik was following her. Damon and Stefan saw Nik run into the pink store and decided to go after him. They ditched the stroller outside the store.
Damon and Stefan looked around and realized everything was pink, and it smelled very flowery inside.
"It's so pink in here. Blondie would love it" Damon said
"It smells funny in here" Stefan said
Nik lost Kat through the people in the store and looked around for her. Damon and Stefan started exploring the store. Damon grabbed a bra off the table and looked at it. It was pink with lace and crystals on it.
"What is this? I think it there's some gel thing in here" Damon said feeling the bra
"It's probably for your head since you keep failing!" Stefan said
Stefan grabbed a thong off the table and looked at it.
"What is this?" Stefan asked
"Girl sling shot" Damon said
Stefan took it between his fingers and then flung it through the air.
"These are awesome" Stefan said grabbing more
Damon put the bra on his head and grabbed more thongs. They started flinging them through the air. Nik looked around for Kat and saw a brunette with her long curls standing in the window. He walked over and climbed into the window and realized it wasn't Kat at all, it was a mannequin, wearing a pink silk robe and angel wings. He walked to the front and saw the mannequin was wearing a matching pink bra and panty set with garters and stockings. He reached out and touched the stockings, it had a similar feeling to the ones Caroline wore with her dress. He wondered if that was under her pink dress. He tugged on the garter and it snapped causing him to jump a bit. Damon and Stefan jumped into the window. They both had bras on their heads.
"What are you doing?" Damon asked
"What are you doing here?" Nik asked
"We followed you" Stefan said
"What's on your head?" Nik asked
"Not sure, they're squishy though" Damon said squishing the bra on his head
"So this is what it looks like, it's kinda like a swimsuit" Stefan said looking at the mannequin
"But you can't swim in this" Damon said
"Why else would you wear it then?" Nik asked
Damon tugged at the fabric of the thong on the mannequin. He pulled the front part down and took a closer look at the mannequin.
"What are you looking at?" Stefan asked
"There's like nothing here" Damon said
Elijah was frantically searching for Nik when he saw the three boys looking at crotch of the mannequin. He ran into the store.
"Niklaus! What are you doing?" Elijah said looking in the window
"Looking for Kat" Nik answered
"Well she's not in there, stop that and come out here this instance" Elijah said
Nik climbed out of the window and Damon and Stefan did as well. Elijah grabbed the bras off Damon and Stefan's heads.
"What are you doing in here? Where is your father?" Elijah asked
"Probably looking for us" Damon said
"Do you know what those are for?" Stefan asked
Elijah looked at the bras in his hands and quickly put them down on a nearby table.
"We're leaving" Elijah said
"But you squished them" Damon said
Stefan starting flinging thongs across the store. One hit Elijah in the face. Elijah took it off his face and looked at the three boys.
"We're leaving" Elijah said
"What are you doing in here?" Katherine asked from behind
Elijah nearly jumped as he turned around and saw Katherine standing there holding a pink shopping bag. Katherine took the thong out of his hand and looked at it.
"Not my color" Katherine said as she put it back on the table
"We're, they, I,-" Elijah stuttered
"Let's go boys" Katherine said
The three boys walked out of the store with Katherine behind them. Elijah was flustered and tried to compose himself and followed her out.
Stefan and Klaus were laughing at the memory of it.
"Elijah was so freaked out" Stefan said
"I know, and we didn't even know why" Klaus said
"Too bad Caroline wasn't there"
"Wasn't where?" Caroline said standing infront of them
Stefan and Klaus stopped laughing and sat up.
"No where love" Klaus said
"We're going to be late" Caroline
"To what?" Stefan asked
"To dinner at the Lockwoods" Caroline said
"Do you really want to go? I mean I don't want to see Damon or Elena, and you don't want to see Tyler and Vicki" Stefan said
"He's bringing her?" Caroline asked
"Of course he is" Stefan said
"I don't want to see them" Caroline said
"Then don't, we don't have to go. We can just get tacos and spend it at your place" Klaus said
"What is with you and tacos?" Stefan asked
"I like tacos"
"What are we just suppose to order pizza, tacos and chinese food and drink beer instead?" Caroline said
"Oh I can raid my dad's stash, got some nice whiskey in there" Stefan said
"That sounds good, I'll go order the food" Klaus said
"What are you doing?!" Caroline yelled
"What? It was your idea" Stefan said
"We're just doing what you wanted"
"But, but-"
"You said so you didn't want to see them, so why bother?" Stefan said
"Besides I really don't fancy christmas pudding or chestnuts" Klaus said
"I'm getting ice cream" Caroline said
Stefan and Klaus both smiled as Caroline smiled and turned to leave.
"Don't forget extra guacamole" Caroline said
