Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Once upon a Time, just the crazy ideas in my head that I incorporated into this story!

Chapter 39
A HUNDRED YEARS LATER
Peter's POV:
As I stood shirtless before the mirror, inspecting my reflection; tracing each little scar on my chest I had acquired from fights and hunts, I gently touched the hollow under my eyes, a result of endless sleepless nights, using what little magic I had left to make my skin flawless. Today was important; I needed to look more youthful than I was already.
Today, a hundred years of planning would finally be set in motion. Today, the Heart of the Truest Believer was going to be mine.
Whilst eating breakfast, I felt new people arriving on my island: Greg and Tamara had landed with Henry at the beach, whilst Henry's mother, the Saviour, his grandparents, Snow White and Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, his adoptive mother, good old Captain Hook and my brother, who was also Henry's grandfather were sailing on the Jolly Roger. This was going to be one messy family reunion. But that would have to wait till later.
Rounding up the Lost Ones, I explained to them that today, we would be playing a special and interesting game. If we all worked together, we could achieve in finding the one thing I desired.
I assigned some boys to go with Felix to scare Henry into my direction, adding they could end Greg and Tamara, since they had fulfilled their mission. I would run to our rendezvous point; the Echo Caves, but take some sharp turns, arriving to a clearing, where the Heart of the Truest Believer would get to prove himself. After thoroughly discussing what was going to happen, we all set off.
While I patiently waited for the boy to run towards where I was hiding, I remembered how I felt some sort of strange pull towards the Echo Caves, but just as the thought entered my mind, Henry slipped and fell right in front of me.
And so it began.
Henry didn't doubt me being a Lost One trying to escape, so our running away was going as planned until they boy needed a rest.
'If he sent for you, then...he wants you. If Pan wants you, he will get you.' If only Henry weren't so naive in trusting everybody.
'Why does Pan want you?'
Already anticipating his question, I pulled out a vial of simple dust. If he believed enough, he could be able to fly without magical dust. 'Pixie dust. I stole it from him, because I thought I could use it to fly away, and go home. But it doesn't work. It's useless.'
'Don't worry, my family is coming to rescue me; you could come with us.' The hopeful tone made me want to gag.
'You really think you're the only boy to believe his family is actually coming for him?
'My family is different. We always find each other.' And how right you are, great-nephew; I found you.
'You better hope they don't, or else Pan will rip their shadows into oblivion.' Henry stood up and made his way towards me, his hands resting on my shoulder in a comforting way.
I could feel the powerful magic just oozing from his touch. Standing quiet for a second, I enjoyed the rush.
'It's gonna be okay, I promise. Don't lose hope.'
Still catching his breath, the boy proclaimed. 'See, if you believe, anything is possible.'
'You couldn't be more right, Henry.'
'How...how do you know my name? I never told you.' That happy smile turned to a confused look.
'Let's make it a game; a puzzle to solve.' I let my crooked grin flash for a second.
'You lied to me! You are a Lost Boy; you work for Pan!' Relishing the sound of betrayal and hurt in his voice, I carried on; waiting to see the shock on his face.
'Not exactly. I am Peter Pan.'
'But you told Greg and Tamara that magic was bad; that you'd help them destroy it. Why?'
'Because I needed their help. See, it is so much easier to get people to hate something than to believe.'
Henry took some steps back. 'Why did you bring me here?'
'For quite some time, I've sought something extremely important. Something more elusive than the greatest of all mysteries. The Heart of the Truest Believer.' I began circling my prey, my one thing to making me fully immortal.
'And when you took that pixie dust and jumped off that cliff, you proved yourself. You are the lucky owner of that very special heart. Now you, and it, are mine.' Holding up a dagger, I called my Lost Boys I had instructed to wait at this clearing.
'Let's play!'
Felix's POV:
'Come out and say hello, dearie.'
'Hello, Rumplestiltskin. Pan welcomes you to the island. Wanted me to tell you he is excited to see you again.' Emerging from the jungle, I walked till I stood in front, but still keeping my distance, of him sitting on a rock.
'I'm sure he is,' he replied disinterested.
'He wanted me to let you know you're welcome in Neverland, as long as you wish to stay. With one caveat...if you're here for the boy, well...that makes you Pan's enemy.'
'Well, then nothing has changed.' the Dark One sneered at me.
Ignoring his comment, I continued with my message. 'If you go against him, you will not survive.'
'The question isn't: will I survive?' He stood up and proceeded. 'Cause we both know I won't. No no, the real question is: how many of you I take with me?' Rumplestiltskin grabbed me by the scruff, the proximity making me uncomfortable.
I knew this was the Dark One, one of the most powerful magical beings in the world; someone who could kill me with the snap of his fingers. Pan had assured me Rumple wouldn't hurt me; I hoped he was right.
'So is that your answer?' I tried to stay calm and unaffected, hiding me fear.
'That is my answer.'
'Well then, I suppose that means I'll see you again...in less friendly circumstances.' By then, I would be under Pan's protection.
'Count on it.' He let me go and started walking away.
'One...last...thing. There's something he wanted you to have.' I tossed the handmade doll Pan handed me in the morning on the ground.
As I noticed the distraught look on Rumplestiltskin's face, I wondered how it was possible that a simple doll with no meaning; well, Pan hadn't mentioned anything, could bring tears in this fearsome man's eyes.
'Isn't it funny how the things we haven't thought about in years still have the ability to make us cry.' Reciting the words my leader had told me to say, I left the clearing.
And for some reason, while I was making my way back to camp, I felt a weird tugging in my chest. Tears had started to run down my cheeks as I clutched the place where my heart would be. Somehow, the words had affected me more than I thought was possible. Why was I crying?
But the real question was: who hadn't I thought about? Who had I forgotten?
So...yeah...things are moving forward!
