Lenny's POV
The next day was recording day. I wrote a song last night for today and Carrie agreed to perform it for the recording. "So Lens, how is this song appose to sound like?" I smiled. "Because I figured you three were used to performing pop I kinda mixed my style with you'res." Kim then cut in. "So it's a mix of pop and rock/punk." I shrugged. "Pretty much." Konnie got excited. "I always wanted to perform Punk-pop. I always thought it'll be fun." I started flipping my lucky coin after getting the music sheets out. "Then lets start rocking." They grabbed their sheets and started practicing the new notes. I was just flipping my coin to warm up my fingers. You might be wondering how I got it right? Well, Lanes gave it to me when we were kids when she went to a birthday party while I was sick, it just always reminded me of how much of a awesomely weird sister I have. "Alright, I think we got it pretty much down lets go through it once before recording it." We all agreed and started to play. (A/N: You'll see the song in a little bit just wait.) "Alright, I think we're good." I picked up the small recorder and put it by the main amp were all our instruments were hooked up. "Are you sure-" I smiled. "It should be there? Don't worry Care. I've done this before. It's the perfect place to pick up all the instruments and your voice at the same time." I switched it on and made sure it was recording. "Alright lets do this." I walked back over to were I was as Carrie nodded to Kim for the intro. (A/N: The song is Get Well by Icon for Hire)
We throw tantrums like parties
We're not happy 'til everyone knows we're sick
And that's just how we like it
We've hurt bad enough, right, we've earned it
Don't tell the others but it's all getting old
I mean how many more times must our stories be told?
And being lonely's only fun in a group
It sort of loses it's charm when it's true
I meant it when I said I wanna get well, I wanna get well
Are the rest of you so content
Stay where you are but it hurts like hell
And I'm sure it's fun at first
Test your pulse and check your vitals
If it's only a game you lost me
I quit it with the suicidal recital
So now you know all my secrets
I want out, I know I don't need this
Can you find me friends that don't rank me on what I've been through
The more battle scars the more attention it gets you
Don't tell the others but it's all getting old
I mean how many more times must our stories be told?
And being lonely's only fun in a group
It sort of loses it's charm when it's true
I meant it when I said I wanna get well, I wanna get well
Are the rest of you so content
Stay where you are but it hurts like hell
And I'm sure it's fun at first
Test your pulse and check your vitals
If it's only a game you lost me
I quit it with the suicidal recital
Yeah we should've known it would end this way
What did you expect, pretend it all away
And all we've got left is a sorry pile of hearts
I'm getting out, gonna write myself a new start
Come on, dry your eyes, meet me on the other side
Run as fast as you can and we'll make it out alive
We know better now, we don't have to live like this
Go tell them all we don't have to live like this
I meant it when I said I wanna get well
I meant it when I said I wanna get well, I wanna get well
Are the rest of you so content
Stay where you are but it hurts like hell
And I'm sure it's fun at first
Test your pulse and check your vitals
If it's only a game you lost me
I quit it with the suicidal recital
If it's only a game you lost me
I quit it with the suicidal recital
I walked back to the recorder quickly giving them the world known signal for be quiet. I switched the recorder back off. "Let's hear it." I nodded and held up the recorder for the girls to hear. It sounded completely like it should. "We sound awesome!" The girls all high fived as I put the recorder in a grey box. "What's that for?" I put the box in my red hood's pocket. "To send the recorder back out. I got to drop this off at Corey's so Laney can send it." They told me a quick bye before I raced to Corey's house.
-Meanwhile With Grojband Transition!-
Laney's POV
"You guys studied the song right?" The boy nodded as we all left to our instruments. "Good. I'll sent up the recorder." I nodded over to Corey after making sure the recorder was on. After I got back to my spot we started to play. (A/N: The song is No Idea by All Time Low.)
I was dreaming we were running
From a city burning,
Down, down, down
Made a break, a new escape
And let the world crash
Down, down, down
(Wooh!)
Now there's a piece of me
Tells me I shouldn't leave
Everytime I see your face
(Everytime I see your face)
Because everytime
You come around
Love, you take my breath away
And I just wanna breathe until,
I take you in
I never want you to leave until
I take you in
(But the truth is)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
(Yeah~)
Get a grip
Slip and trip
Over clumsy careless
Words, words, words
Paper thin fingerprints
Under softly spoken
Verse, verse, verse
Now there's so much of me
Telling me not to leave
Everytime I see your face
(Everytime I see your face)
Because everytime
You come around
(How do you take my breath away?)
And I just wanna breathe until
I take you in
I never want you to leave until
I take you in
(But the truth is)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
(Yeah~)
She's so close when I'm so far away
When I'm so far away
Let me dream
Let me stay
She's so close when I'm so far away
When I'm so far away
I can sleep
I can dream
I can change
She has no idea
(No idea)
But I'm so far away~
She has no idea
Now I'm so far away~
Yeah
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
(No idea)
That I'm even here
(That I'm even here)
She has no idea
Dea, dea
She has no idea
Dea, dea
She has no idea
Dea, dea
She has no idea
Dea, dea
She has no idea
I gave the band a quick 'be quiet' signal before walking over to the recorder and stopping it. "Awesome work guys." The Groj door was knocked on so I put the recorder in my pocket. "Uno momento seniors." I walked over to the Groj door and opened it to show my brother. "Here's the box for the recorders. Gotta go!" Before I can say anything he raced back down the street. "You're brother is freaking fast Lanes." I shrugged. "Want to here the recorder before I ship it back to Jake?" "Yeah!" I played the recorder back and it sounded exactly like it should. "We sound awesmazing Lanes!" I smiled knowing that he was excited about this. "Now all me and Lens gotta do is go home and record our selves with Mike and we can send this out and in about a couple days after that, maximum a week, we should get a letter from Jake if he wants to record us now or later." Corey smiled excitedly as Kin and Kon high fived in the air. I smiled as I packed up my bass for the day. "I'll see you guys tomorrow!" I waved to them as I left the Groj and started to walk home.
