Lenny's POV
Last week me, Lane and Mike finished recording and sent all three of the recorders out to Jake. Today should be the day we get the letter. Right now all of us were sitting in the Toxic Manor aka the Penn family garage. Carrie was sitting on the couch as Corey sat on the stage watching the the two groups of twins arguing about what band was better, We Came As Romans or Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, I was sitting with Care as Lane was sitting with Corey. "How can you even chose between the two anyway?" I shrugged. "I don't really know Care. Just matters on which band sounds better to you most likely." She smiled at me before Mike came running in with Zoey following him. "The letter came in!" Mike came sliding to a stop holding the red envelope. That, when it comes to Jake, means good news. "Open it already. You're kill us with the suspense." Corey easily got excited same with Care. I smiled. "When it comes to Jake, red means good, green means bad and blue means both." Carrie looked at me weirdly. "What? That's how he usually does it. Hopefully he didn't change it." I got up along with Laney and took the envelope away from my brother. "Cross you fingers everyone." I opened the letter as everyone crossed their fingers quickly, set for Corey who crossed his legs, arms and fingers to give us luck. Laney was laughing at him as I started to read the letter. I put my hand over her mouth before reading aloud. "Congrats! The Toxic Sirens, The Newmans and Grojband have been accepted to Distance records. We'll be shipping you the recording equipment after you read this letter. It should be there soon. Thanks you for being the rocking musicians you are, signed Jake Trips." I let go of Laney's mouth as the gang cheered. "Wait, their's another not on the other side." I turned over the note to see blue lettering. "I'm sorry to say this but you kids won't get a true record deal till you're at least 16. So, just record to get your selves used to it all till then. Thanks for being rock stars, Jake Trips and-" I clutched the paper as Laney clutched her fist as well. Everyone then noticed that at the bottom in dark green was Lance Penn, my father. "Lens?" I heard Care's voice as a hand was put on my shoulder. I looked over to her, still clutching the paper in my fist. "Lens, your eyes." I noticed right away that my eyes were red. "Be right back." I ran right out the garage and straight down the street. I heard people yelling my name as I left, but I didn't care. I didn't want them to see me like this. I known they seen this before but, I never want them to see it again. I also wanted to keep them safe. I could never control my self when I'm like this. When I stopped, I was at the park. Flash backs from the perfect rainy day filled my mind but it didn't help my anger to my scientist of a damn father. I sat on the bench from before as I started to think. I hated my father. I hated that his work never worked till then. I hated that he worked at the company as well. I hated him. I hated everything. I could tell that my body was starting to shake as I thought that. I'm an experiment. Just a damn experiment. Right then a soft voice cracked into my thoughts. "Lens?"
Carrie's POV
After Lens ran out I went after him. But thanks to his running abilities, I couldn't keep up. After that I went to the nearest place possible for him to run to, the park. I seen him sitting on the same bench from before. I noticed Lens was shaking, red eyes glowing and teeth clenched. "Lens?" His face softened as he looked at me. "Care?" His voice was different, like before. I sat down next to him and put my hand on his shoulder. "I'm here Lens." He faced the other direction and clenched his teeth again. "Leave." His voice was now back to normal but he was still shaking and I could easy see the glowing of his red eyes even when he looked away. "No. I'm not leaving Lens. Not till you tell me why you ran." He stopped shaking and looked at me, red eyes glowing more then Christmas lights. "Carrie, I ran because I didn't want to you to see me like this. I wanted to keep you safe from me." I gave him a confused look. "I can't control myself Care. Every time I try. I hurt someone in the end. I don't want you to be hurt because of me." I hugged him quickly as I noticed his eyes started to calm down but they were still red. "Don't worry Lens." I smiled at him but he frowned. "I don't want you to see me like this Care." I put my hand on her back as I smiled at him. "Everyone has a bad side Lens. It's actually good that I seen this. It just shows me that you're as normal as I am." I smiled at him as his eyes went normal. "Thanks Care." He smiled at me as I smiled back at him. "No problem Lens." I got up as he did the same thing. "Thanks again for calming me down Care." I smiled and walked with him back to the garage. "Again Lens, it's no problem. Don't worry about it. Just tell me next time this happens alright Lens?" He nodded. "I will Care, I will." I smiled as I punched him in the arm playfully. "I'll race you back!" I started running as he chased me. "Your on!"
