Corey's POV

After getting home I walked up to my room and set down my guitar before collapsing onto my blue sheets on my bed. I stared at the ceiling that had a Grojband skull by an All Time Low poster with light blue paint behind it. All I could think about was my best friend Lanes. I haven't even known her a year and I already named her my best friend. Maybe even more then that. I don't really know. All I know is that she's awesome, sweet, head strong, musical, strong, optimistic when she wants to be and all out perfect in my eyes. I might like her more then I think. I know Carrie likes Lenny more then just a friend. I actually confronted her about it and she actually admitted it. So we might actually have something in common instead of Lanes or Lenny needed to hold us back when one of us cross the line now and then. I laughed at my self lightly as the song Lanes sung ran through my mind. I always wondered how she got so good at singing same with Lenny too when him having a happy voice that makes you want to dance to a sad tone that wants you to hang you self. I then remembered something Laney told me a while back. "Me and Lens used to have a record deal. But we have move thanks to our crazy father and that our mom has family here." They weren't newbies at this. They been performing for years. That's why they're so good at what they do. Grojband and The Newmans when we were 10 so we're defiantly beginners compared to them. But that got me thinking. 'If Lanes and Lenny have been that good as the Toxic Sirens... How haven't I heard of them before we met?' Right then I jumped up and ran to my computer that was on a oddly orange and blue computer stand and started searching up on google Toxic Sirens. I looked at the screen in shock as I seen only one video and only ten websites about them. I clicked on the video first to see Lenny,Lanes, and Mike in a basement on a make shift stage. Lenny started playing on a red faded axe as Mike played on a small six set. Which was weird because even Kon had a bigger drum set then that when we started out. But the two things that caught my attention the most was how young they all look and how Lanes looked as well. She had her hair long and went by her sides and pulled to the side by a yellow clip, a green button up shirt that looked a little to big for her and a pair of red jeans as she played on a blue bass. She looked completely different from the short haired, leather jack wearing, black green and red Lanes I know today. But her gem green eyes were bright and happy as they usually were which easily made me smile. I then got in shock as she started to sing.

He was a boy
She was a girl
Can I make it anymore obvious?
He was a punk.
She did ballet.
What more can I say?
He wanted her.
She'd never tell.
Secretly she wanted him as well.
And all of her friends
Stuck up their nose.
And they had a problem with his baggy clothes.

He was a skater boy, she said, "See ya later, boy."
He wasn't good enough for her.
She had a pretty face but her head was up in space.
She needed to come back down to earth.

Five years from now, she sits at home feeding the baby, she's all alone.
She turns on TV and guess who she sees?
Skater boy rockin' up MTV.
She calls up her friends.
They already know.
And they've all got tickets to see his show.
She tags along, stands in the crowd.
Looks up at the man that she turned down.

He was a skater boy, she said, "See ya later, boy."
He wasn't good enough for her.
Now he's a superstar
Slammin' on his guitar
Does your pretty face see what he's worth?

Sorry, girl, but you missed out.
Well, tough luck, that boy's mine now.
We are more than just good friends.
This is how the story ends.
Too bad that you couldn't see...
See the man that boy could be.
There is more than meets the eye,
I see the soul that is inside.

He's just a boy, and I'm just a girl.
Can I make it anymore obvious?
We are in love.
Haven't you heard how we rock each other's world?

I met the skater boy, I said, "See ya later, boy.
I'll be backstage after the show.
I'll be at the studio singing the song we wrote about a girl you used to know."

I was shocked at how well they played as newbies them selves. I picked up my phone still in shock as I called Carrie. "Riffin? Why did you call me?" I told her everything that has happen with the google search. Nothing more, nothing less. Which was a good thing because she would tease me about Lanes. "What?! they were that good when they were newbies?!" "I know right? Shocking isn't it?" I could hear her nod on the other line. I laughed. "So how did they do it?" I shrugged. "Only the Rock Gods of Rocklympus can tell us that Carrie." I hear her lean back in a chair. "You don't really believe in that stuff right?" I smiled. "I got it from Lanes and Lenny." I heard a pen click. "Tell me more about these 'Rock Gods'." I started laughing. Oldest trick in the book.
