Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own Once upon a Time, just the crazy ideas in my head that I incorporated into this story!

Chapter 57

Peter's POV:

It had been around a hundred years since I had seen a sunrise; let alone the warm sunbeams emitting from the sky. A foreign bright blue pierced my sight, so I dropped my gaze to the beautiful girl whose head was resting on my lap. Gently pushing the hair from her forehead, I noticed her skin getting paler by the minute; her breathing more laboured with every breath. A small tug at her blouse showed the venom spreading in thin black veins from the cut. Not even my magic could slow her death, only the water Fountain of Youth or the elixir would help. And at the moment, I had neither.

Unsure how to address my brother, I just blurted out. 'Mr. Gold, Aura needs help. She...she has Dreamshade poisoning. Can we save her?'

'Oh, I am sure I can procure something to stop the poison from reaching her heart. No price, no loopholes.' There seemed to be some kind of recognition in his eyes as he saw her, then I remembered they had gone into a deal back before Aura came to Neverland.

I hadn't even noticed we had landed, too caught up with the barely audible whimpers of pain and a coat of sweet building on her forehead, until someone called for me. 'Henry, we're here. You should be the first to step foot back on Storybrooke.'

I gently set Aura's head on the blanket, wary of letting her out of my sight, but proceeded to the railing of the ship. There I saw plenty of people I could identify from Henry's memories; more fairytale characters. Stepping from the ship, many greeted me, hugged me and sighed in relief that the Henry they thought they were talking to was still alive. In the corner of my eye, I could see my brother embracing and kissing Belle and Wendy finally being reunited with her family.

'How does it feel to finally be home?' Emma patted my shoulder, her smile genuine.

'Better than I ever imagined.'

'I have to admit, there was a minute where I believed we wouldn't make it out of that place.'

'Well, we did. And we owe a lot of it to her. Regina helped save us all.' Emma's mother proclaimed; everyone staring disbelieving at the Evil Queen.

Seeing this distraction as a chance to slip from the Saviour, I made my way to a Felix holding a barely conscious Aura in his arms, separated from the crowd.

'What do you have in mind, Peter? What if someone decides to open that box; let the real boy out?'

After a failed friendship; treating him like a employee for a century…we both agreed on one thing. Aura's happiness. And on this, we were united. He had called me Peter, just like Aura had ever since our love-making.

'That's not the problem, trust me.'

'What's the next step?'

'You need to be punished. Hey mom, dad; what about Felix? He's still free!'

'What are you doing?' He panicked loudly, although I didn't have to hear him to see the distress in his face.

'They need to trust me.'

'Henry's right; we can't just let Felix walk around freely.' Regina walked between me and Felix, as if trying to shield me.

'Don't worry, we've got plenty of cell space for this guy. And we have to get the girl to the hospital. Hook, come help me.' Seeing the pirate hold Aura the way I deemed only I was allowed made me feel...something. Something powerful.

'She needs a cure from Gold,' I exclaimed as David pushed Felix to moved forward and Hook carrying my True Love away.

'You're safe now, Henry.'

If only they knew.

Putting a big story book in front of me, Emma sat down across from me; looking at me expectantly. 'Well, don't be too excited. Neal still had it in his room, we thought you'd want it. And you just lived a fairytale of your own.'

'Right. Thanks.' At my clear disinterest -there were more important things on my mind- I could see her eyebrows raise in question.

'You okay?'

'Yeah. Just a little worried about Aura. But why wouldn't I be okay?' Maybe I was mentioning her too often, showing my fondness for the girl too much.

No. I would never stop showing my affection for my True Love.

After leaving me to look through the fairytale book, she came back; her jacket already on.

'Sorry kid, it's time for something you didn't have in Neverland; bedtime. Let's say good-night to Regina.'

'I...I didn't realize it was getting so late. It's going to be hard to let you out of my sight.' The Evil Queen held my chin tenderly, what I saw as a sign of motherly love.

While I had skimmed the pages of Henry's book, I had seen a picture of Regina keeping her magical stuff in a protected vault. My only guess she was keeping the curse in that place and my best shot at getting close to it was being near the Evil Queen.

'Maybe you don't have to. Maybe I could stay with you tonight.'

'Oh...of course.' Surprise was evident on her face, what kind of life did Henry lead before he came to Neverland to be so torn between two mothers?

'Yeah, just call me tomorrow and let me know what time to pick you up.' Emma mentioned almost indifferently, but evidently bothered.

'Come on, Henry. Let's go home.'

When we arrived, upon seeing the room Henry used to sleep in, I walked around, touching some thin books with many pictures and bright colors as well as a big black round thing before Regina stepped into the room in her night-clothes.

'Lights out, young man.'

'Mom, your vault. Did you bring that over with you?'

'Yes, Henry, you know that.' Regina seemed a little confused at my ignorance. I'd have to play this differently.

'With all your magic?' I sat down on the bed, meeting her watchful gaze with an innocent one of a boy's.

'Why are you asking all these questions?'

'Because I might need that stuff...to protect myself from Pan.'

'Well honey, he can't hurt you. He's locked up in Gold's shop.'

'But what if he get's out; what if he finds a way to come after me?' Climbing under the sheets, Regina tucked me in; reassuring me with a gentle touch to my cheek.

'Magic isn't the answer. My vault is sealed shut for a reason; it's dangerous. I'll protect you, no matter what. Now it's time for you to go to bed.' Leaving the room, she turned off the light without magic; which surprised me.

As I climbed out of the bed, I opened the window that showed me the heart of the city as well as the docks, where a certain ship with one black sail rocked gently with the waves of the water.

'She's wrong. Magic is the answer.'

Mentally controlling my Shadow, I freed him from the enchantment the Evil Queen had captured him in, and ordered him to kill one of the most evil villains of Storybrooke in the morning.

Because I wasn't a villain.

And anytime soon, I would be getting my happy ending.

So...yeah...guessing by the show's storyline, can you guess what's going to happen next?

Reviews are always appreciated and make me smile!

Love you all,
