I Must Be Dreaming Chapter 56: School Mornings and Lack of Sleep, a grojband fanfic

Lenny's POV

Baby! Why are you doing this to me?
Sweetheart! Are those your eyes staring straight back at me?
Angel! I see your smile everywhere!
Darling! Stop!

Night falls and I'm running in circles (Wohoo Wohoo)
I'm being chased by my imagination (Wohoo Wohoo)

Tell me I'm forgiven say you'll always be mine

No one deserves to live like this!

I touch your lips and stare in your eyes
You smile and it makes me fly
You are the reason my heart beats

I scribbled the words as I set my bass down beside me. Oddly, the first day of school is in three hours and I'm up before my sister without an excuse other then me not being able to sleep, so I decided to get up silently, grabbed my 'school clothes' and changed before deciding to write a new song. I didn't even know I could be a little soft hearted in a 'emo' song ,as other call it at least. Trust me, I never woke up this early to write a song but, something just told me to.. I don't know what but I had that strong feeling to just write. I know, sounds weird right? Anyway, I got done with the intro and first chorus pretty fast so, I decided to keep going.

Night as dark as my thoughts sets the scene for my return
Lightning nips at my heels as I race home
Wearily I stagger towards the song of her pale voice

I looked at the door as I heard a a door shut. I looked toward the stairs to see my sister walking down with two backpacks in hand. "How the heck are you up before me? I must be still dreaming." I gave here a quick 'shut-it' glance before Mike walked down the stairs. "Hello little dude and dudette. What's happening? Wait, Lenny's up?" Laney started laughing as I crossed my arms and slouched on the couch. "Shut it you two. I couldn't sleep alright?" Laney shrugged and thrown my backpack at me before Mike just started snickering. "Or you're just excited to see Carrie again." "Wait, you know I like Care?!" He rolled his eyes. "It's obvious." I smirked at him. "Like you liking Zoey?" He opened his mouth to respond but he automatically shut it again. "Knew it." Mike then smiled again. "Remember what I told you about, how if you can't sleep at night it means that someone else is dreaming about you?" I nodded. "Yeah, what does that have to do with this?" He just smiled bigger. "Maybe Carrie was dreaming about you and that's why you could sleep." I blushed at the thought and then turned to my lyrics knowing I still had about two hours till we actually had to leave. "It's a nice thought but we all know that's not gonna happen."

Carrie's POV

I woke up from a weird dream two hours before I had to leave for school... Oddly the dream was about a song I never heard of and it had Lenny singing it as long as writing the lyrics... The weird thing is... I think I liked the dream... What the heck it with me on this? 'Love' was never my forte so I never got any of this sense it began. But one part of the song still rang through my head.

I don't know why but I just liked that part of the song I heard... Maybe it means something, most likely not though. I thought all these things as I got prepared for school. I finished pretty quick thanks to me thinking of the dream instead of what I was doing. But, one thing kept bothering me, the thought of 'What does this mean?'. Mina then came down the stairs breaking me out of my thoughts. She seen me ready to go and smiled. "Let's start going to the buss stop. We only got an hour left anyway and Trina wants me to meet her there early." I mentally rolled my eyes, I always hated the way my sister was treated from Trina. But, it's her life. When she wants Trina out of the picture, she'll tell her. "Alright. Then let's rock!" But then my mind decided to think about the dream again. 'Hopefully the story about not being about to sleep if someone is dreaming of you is not true... I would hate to be the reason why he falls asleep in math.'
