Sorry guys, I'm not updating as fast as I'd like too. I'm so indecisive about my chapters! Once they're finished I don't know if I like it or not and I edit it forever. Hopefully I'll get a friend to beta read my future chapters so I don't have to pick everything apart and decide if I like it or not. Thanks for sticking with me even though I'm bad at updating!

The following day, Aelita woke up to the wonderful smell of food. She sat up and searched the room for the source of the smell only to be surprised as a certain black haired teen blocked her vision. He had an amused grin on his face.
"You know, you're going to be late for school."
"Eh?" Aelita blinked in confusion.
He pointed to a uniform draped over a chair that sat in front of the room's lone desk.
"Huh? That's a girl's uniform…" she mumbled, drowsily piecing everything together.
Rin continued to watch Aelita as she thought about what was going on, she still seemed tired and the look on her face as she thought was priceless.
"And that uniform is mine?" she asked, finally understanding what was going on.
"Yup! Yukio got you enrolled here! And you're going to be late on your first day," he teased.
"You'll be late too if you keep bugging her. Go to class. I'll get her there," Yukio said as he threw a jacket at Rin.
Rin yanked the jacket from his face to send his brother a pout, "C'mon! It's her first day!"
Yukio shook his head, "Just go."
"Fine," Rin grumbled, tugging his jacket on. "See you in class!" he called to Aelita as he disappeared out into the hallway.
Aelita sent him a lazy wave, though the door had already shut. Her eyes then roamed briefly over the room until they fell on the taller twin. The look on his face told her that she'd get a long lecture if she didn't get moving, so she scrambled out of bed, grabbed her uniform, and rushed to the bathroom to get ready.
With the door closed firmly behind her, she held the uniform up to examine it. A small frown tugged at her lips as she looked at the impractical outfit, it wasn't exactly cool. Of course, her biggest issue was needing a uniform in the first place. At her public school in America, uniforms were a distant nightmare. Here, this nightmare was common place and it was something she'd have to deal with if she wanted to attend school in Japan. With a determined look on her face, she changed into the dreaded uniform.
It wasn't uncomfortable, but as she noted her figure in the mirror her frown grew deeper. She would much rather have worn pants and a sweatshirt to school.
"Guys are so lucky," she grumbled.
The only thing that was tolerable about her outfit was her shirt. The rest of the outfit was so girly that she wished she could crawl back into bed and forget this whole school thing. Sure, she understood why schools liked them, but she just couldn't stand skirts. The particular skirt she was forced to wear was pink and, in her opinion, much too short. She tugged on it in hopes of making it longer, but to no avail. After her failed attempt at skirt fixing she checked to see what was left of her uniform. She was left now with some frilly bow she was supposed to wear around her neck. There was no way she'd wear it like that. Instead Aelita wore it as a headband to keep her messy brown locks away from her face.
With a final tug on her skirt Aelita went to eat breakfast. Yukio was standing at the door of the dorm waiting for her. She didn't really notice him though as her gaze fell on the plate of food waiting for her on the desk. Without a second thought, she sat at the desk and grabbed the pair of chop sticks that sat beside the plate of food.
"You're not actually going to eat now, are you? Class is about to start," Yukio deadpanned.
Aelita's stomach only growled in response, and she sent him a sheepish grin.
With a defeated sigh, he tossed a key to Aelita. "Put this in the door when you are ready to go."
"What does this do?" she questioned, turning the key about in her hands as she searched for some unique quality it may hold.
"When you put it in a lock it will take you to class, any door lock will do," Yukio responded.
"Awesome!" Aelita exclaimed, eyeing the key with interest.
The bespectacled teen sighed once again at the girl's behavior, "Well, I'm off then."
"Oh, okay. I won't be long! Heh, sorry," she laughed nervously.
Yukio shook his head, "Just like Nii-san…" he said with a small smile.
After he left Aelita turned back towards the table, but she didn't spare the food another glance. Instead, she found herself looking idly out the window above the desk she was seated at, lost in thought.
"I wonder if Rin remembers me…" she murmured to herself. "Perhaps he does and is pretending he doesn't. He probably has a grudge against me since I never went back to school… I did promise I'd go back."
Aelita prodded her food idly before she sighed, "I'm sure he thinks I just didn't want to see him again."
She frowned and shook her head in attempt to get rid of her thoughts. There was no point in being upset; she had finally found him after a few days of searching the school grounds. Besides, maybe he'd remember her eventually. With her hopes renewed she grinned greedily at the food before her.
"Now then, I have class to attend! Time to eat this delicious looking breakfast!" she said.
Aelita quickly ate her food (which was indeed delicious) before standing up and eyeing the magic key she was given. She slipped it into the lock on the front door and turned it slowly before opening the door enough to see what was on the other side. She peeked her head through the door and noted that it led to an ancient looking classroom containing around 11 students in it. Yukio was standing before the class; his hand paused at the board. Aelita must have interrupted him. Wait, was he the teacher?
Aelita realized everyone in the classroom was staring at her so she quickly stumbled into the room and bowed, "I-I'm sorry I'm late!"
She heard Rin chuckle and she looked up to shoot him an annoyed glare. He simply responded by sticking his tongue out at her.
"Class, this is Aelita. She is a new student here," Yukio said.
There were a few hellos and some nods of acknowledgement as a greeting (and was that a whistle?). Aelita gave another quick bow before scanning the room for a seat. She met Rin's eyes briefly and he gave her a guilty smile as she noticed the seat beside him was taken. Aelita looked farther back in the class and noticed a strange pink haired boy shove a smaller bald boy out of his seat to make room for her. She definitely wasn't going to sit there. Instead she took a seat alone in the back of the class.
Once she had sat down Yukio continued his lecture and Aelita looked around at the students in her class. The girl next to Rin reminded Aelita of a doll, a sweet smile painted on her face. She seemed friendly, maybe even too friendly. There was another girl in the class that had a snooty look to her, boredom practically written across her forehead as she continued to listen to the lecture. She didn't seem too bad. Aelita mentally put this girl on her 'befriend' list.
Then she turned her attention to the group of boys on the opposite side of the class. They seemed like an odd group. The boy shoved on the ground earlier reminded Aelita of a mouse, but a bald mouse with glasses. He seemed nice and somewhat timid, unlike the pink haired boy. Behind the two sat an angry looking teen. Judging by the look on his face, it seemed like he hated everyone and everything. Despite his irritated expression, Aelita didn't find him all that intimidating; though she would have if it weren't for his comical skunk-like hair style. She had to suppress a laugh as she pictured a skunk sitting atop such an angry looking kids head. To avoid laughing she looked for another person to observe. There was only one more that she found, sitting at another table in the back of the class making funny faces at a puppet. He kind of gave her the creeps.
"Aelita, are you even paying attention?" Yukio asked, interrupting her from her thoughts.
"Yes Yukio! Er, um, sensei!" Aelita spluttered.
Yukio shook his head and continued his lecture while Rin shook in an obvious attempt to contain his laughter.
"Well I'm off to a great start," Aelita thought to herself as she sunk back into her chair.
