Disclaimer: I do not own How to Train Your Dragon or Brave nor do own any of the character.

Since it is my first crossover I would love feedback.

This is set after Merida and Hiccup have both experienced their own adventures-movie plots-. Merida is fifteen and Hiccup is sixteen.

Also I am sorry but I am bad at accents so Merida does have an accent that everyone notices and will comment on, but I will not be writing like she does, its just to difficult for me, so I apologize in advance.

Since the witch in Brave was never names and the Pixar theory claims the witch is Boo, I named the witch Boo

Merida point of view:

I was so relieved when Hiccup said that we were going to go to his house for lunch. I was just too tired to deal with anything; it was like everything finally hit me in that arena. Questions just kept swarming my head. Who knows how far from home I am? I was in the land of an old enemy and have no idea what they would do with me if they find out? I don't know if my brothers and mother are all right? It was just too much to deal with especially when people seem to be so paranoid about me.

I was completely overjoyed that Hiccup let me use his bed. It was huge probably the average size for a normal Viking, but it had a thick soft mattress. I sighed in content as I snuggled into the thick blankets.

I was fully prepared to take a long nap, my eyes feeling heavy as it touched Hiccup's pillow. However when I heard the sound of familiar sound, I began to wake up. I looked around the room for the source, noticing Toothless asleep on the side of my bed. It wasn't until I heard the sound of wings flapping did I look up. There on the giant wood frame was Crow.

For a moment I thought it couldn't be him, completely thinking that I was still dreaming, I turned over in the bed raising the covers over my head. "Wake up princess" he shrieked landing on my side jumping around. "Wakey Wakey." He shrieked again pulling some of my hair.

"Ow" I say, when the stupid thing decided to start pecking my shoulder. 'Alright this is not a dream' I thought sitting up in the oversized bed staring down at the ruffle up black bird jumping at my side, but something was different about him, he had metal cufflinks around his feet.

"Have to follow me princess" he says flying towards the window, "Come on princess follow me." Crow says jumping on the windowsill for a while longer until he flies out the window. I looked at the open window for a moment knowing that if Crow was here than Boo the witch could be here to. 'She could help me get home' I thought swinging out of the bed as quickly and as quietly as I could. Toothless was still on the ground curled up tight with himself.

Being carful to not wake up the sleeping dragon I quietly made it to the window, I could see Crow flying around outside waiting for me. I looked down at the ground it was pretty high to jump, but I didn't have much of a choice. Pulling up the baggy pants I stood on the windowsill and jumped, making sure that before I hit the ground I went into a roll. It softened the blow a bit even if my shoulder did ache a bit.

Crow noticing that I was following him flew into the woods. Not wasting any time I ran after him. Crow seemed to have some place in mind because he had no problem navigating in these woods. He would stop and tease me "pretty slow there princess" or "keep up Merida."

"I'm going you feathered winged rat." I ranted running after the bird. It flew faster into the woods, making a sharp turn. Just as I was about to follow I stopped, hearing something behind me. I stopped to look, but I couldn't find anything. I waited for a moment something feeling off. 'Someone is following me' I thought, but as I kept looking around seeing none of the plants disturbed or even a track in sight I shook my head thinking that I was paranoid. As Crow started to shout again, I left all thoughts of being followed behind and began to run after him.

Crow brought me to some high stone formation landing near an opening. He landed on the ground and started to hop through the entrance. I followed and once we exited the rock entrance I found us in an isolated cove with a large spring pool inside. Crow swooped into the cove and landed next to the spring. I climbed down into the cove jumping off the wall and walking over to the spring. Crow was pecking at one of the metal cuffs on his feet. Eventually he got it off and tossed it into spring. I walked over to the spring the water starting to form a purple blue smoke. Crow flew to my shoulder landing on my hair and practical hidden there. The smoke started to grow raising into the air some water rising with it. It started to forma a circle in front of me the purple smoke a frame and the water inside of it rippling until it becomes smooth like glass.

Suddenly the water like glass gains a bright light. On the glass was an elderly woman with a wrinkled face, white grey hair, gold eyes. As the light became less bright the image got more detailed than I could see the woman's saggy cheeks, thin lips, large curved noise, and her large ears with two different types of earrings. As the image cleared I got more and more excited.

"Boo" I shouted stepping closer to the glass floating around purple smoke. The witch smiled "Dearie its good to see you."

I let out a content sigh "Its good to see you to Boo." I smiled at the screen until something dawned on me "Boo what about my brother-my mum" I shouted, suddenly afraid.

"Calm down dearie there are all right…well for the most part" she says sighing.

"What does that mean?" I say suspiciously.

The witch got serious for a second, her lip becoming tighter. "Your father sent his knights to retrieve me, practically dragged me to that damn castle of yours. Turned a guard or two into rats for such rude behavior. It wasn't until they told me what happened that I came to the castle. When they told me what happened, I gave Crow a spell to track you and had him fly off to try and find you. I'm glad that he was able to although from the look of it dearie you are quite away."

"I don't really know where I am Boo, just that I'm in the land of Vikings." Boo's eyes goo wide.

"Viking" she and Crow shriek. "Are you alright dear? Do they know who you are? Are you safe?" Boo was spurting out more questions than I can answer.

"Boo I'm fine,"

"How did you escape? How did you find the Vikings?" She kept asking questions and so I interrupted her telling her everything about how I escaped the ship, how a Viking found me, the dragons, I told her everything because if any one could help me get home it was Boo. She didn't interrupt me once, but I could tell that her mind was racing. I watched as she was about to ask more question, but I just have to ask.

"Boo please I've told you everything that happened to me please please just tell me about my family."

Boo's face turns sad looking down for a moment. "Your brother is alive, but I fear that his wound was more sever than I expected. Merida your brother is alive, but he hasn't woken up." My heart drops my hands going to my mouth. "Dear do not worry…do you remember the kingdom of Corona."

"The kingdom that my mum made an alliance with…barely. The treaty was made when I was a wee lass."

"Do you remember their lost daughter?"

"Aye, she was a baby when she was stolen from the castle. She was just recently found right. We couldn't go to her return festival though, so I've never met her."

The witch nodded "She has great healing ability, legendary even, it's said that she even healed the dead. That the reason she was kidnapped was for her magic she gained from a powerful flower."

"A flower…really Boo." These healing ability sounding too good to be true, especially when said they come from a flower.

"Say's the lass that turned her mother into a bear." I opened my mouth to protest, but she had a point magic came in all shapes and sizes, nothing about magic should surprise me anymore.

"Good point" I mutter crossing my arm.

"A letter was sent to her asking her to come and heal your brother. She has agreed and will be here within the month. They are finding it difficult to get to ship out it seems winter winds are starting to come in."

This caught my attention "Jack" I mutter "ask Jack to hold off on winter to let her get to my brother. I'm sure he can hold off a day or to."

"I'm afraid that this winter is not all Jack, he can't stop it for us."

"He's a winter spirit. This is what he does." I shout, throwing my arms in the air.

"A winter spirit, not winter himself." I looked at the ground, fists clenched.

"Merida with the harsh winter's setting in, it might not be possible for us to get you home. I can't just transport you here out of thin air, I'm sorry, but-"

"It's okay Boo it's okay. Just make sure," I sighed gulping the lump in my throat "just make sure my family is okay."

Boo nods her face going grim for a moment understanding that for a whole winter I will be in the land of enemies, but there seemed to be something more than that. "Boo is there something else."

"Merida I need you to think and really think was there anything about the men that took you that seemed" she was struggling to find the right word throwing one of her hands in the air "out of the ordinary."

"No, I mean other than being able to escape the kingdom with there speed and being stupid enough to kidnap me they seemed the normal scum of the earth."

"Was there anything odd about the ship?" she asked still pressing for answers.

"No it seemed like a normal ship." I thought back to the few glimpses I saw of the ship, I thought back to the cell I was in, but nothing stood out. That was until "the sails" I mutter, Crow turned to me shrieking "sails what about the sails."

I turned to Boo. "When the boat docked the sail was white with a merchant symbol, but when I escaped it wasn't white. From the little light there was I remember the sail having a bat on it."

Boo's face changed the minute I said bat. Her eyes widened her mouth opening a little. She was muttering to herself about something, but I couldn't make any of it out. She looked afraid. "Boo what's the matter?" She shook her head.

"Nothing dearie I…I just need to look into something is all"

"Boo your not very subtle about thing. I learned that the hard way."

Boo opened her mouth to say something, but a bright shimmer took over the image. I turned my head away, looking back quickly to see the purple smoke starting to become a lighter color the smoke thinner.

"Boo what's going on?" I asked, taking a step closer to the surface.

"We are running out of time." Boo states stepping closer to the glass surface her eye up close to the image. "Listen dearie you need to be carful not only because of where you are, but something is not right…you need to be safe."

I felt a chill go down my spine because of the warning "I will Boo. Just promise me that you'll take care of my brother, my family."

"I will," she says firmly "Merida the last bracelet on Crow can be used to send me a message, but use it wisely you only get one chance." The image started to become rippled.

"I will," I say, feeling so desperate.

"Crow will stay with you. We'll get you home Mer-" The sound cut out, the image starting to fade, the smoke disappeared.

"Boo wait," I shouted, "Please…take care of my brother, of my mum. Boo…Boo," but it was to late the water fell back into the spring the smoke completely gone. "Boo wait, WAIT."I dropped to the ground kneeling over the spring hoping for something anything to appear.

I could feel a sob coming on, but I bit my lip to keep it in. "It's okay" I muttered, trying to make myself feel better. "Hamish will be fine, everything will be fine." I mutter to myself standing up slowly, one arm wrapped around my waist.

That's when Crow started to shriek, hoping off my shoulder and landing by my side. "Dragon and his rider are here." I turned around there standing on the stone walls covering the cove was Hiccup sitting on top of Toothless, and based on his look of disbelief I knew he saw enough.

I opened my mouth to say something, but I had no idea what to say. As Toothless scalded down the wall I knew that this was a conversation I couldn't avoid. Taking a deep breath I prepared myself for all the different ways this could end.
