SCALING DOWN THE FUN!

Part 20. Of Candy & Monsters!
At the Seville home...
Dave arrives and finds his uncle reading a newspaper in the living room.
Uncle Adam looked up and said,"How did it go with the girls?.."
Dave was tired after the long ride.
He plopped down in his chair and said,"Just fine. Miss Miller and the Chipettes are settled in their rooms.
By tomorrow they'll be treated like queens."
Dave now noticed the quietness of his home. Which is rare..
The boys are usually doing something noisy.
He asked,"How are the boys handling it?"
Uncle Adam replied,"Considering The fact that they planned something special for the girls and this thing happens...
They were a little down in spirits."
He then said," After all this hormonal business is over; they'll be singing a different tune."
Uncle Adam looked at Dave and said,"It' late.. We both should get some sleep."
As the two leave for their rooms..
There's a rustling sound, that is unheard by the pair.
The Pesterminator's assassins were emerging from the two concealed boxes.
A small box opens and three small shapes dart out.
From the bigger box.. A large shape scuttles out and hides in wait.
If the little assassins fail. The bigger one won't.
The next day at the resort...
The Chipettes relaxed inside a sauna.. Or at least tried to relax...
Brittany seemed a bit annoyed with somebody; and she let her know it.
She said,"Jeanette.. I can't believe what you did today.."
Jeanette asked," What do you mean?"
Brittany answered," I mean. How can you be moaning out Simon's name, while the masseur rubbed your back!
It was embarrassing!"
Jeanette giggled, laughed, and said,"You sound jealous.."
Brittany turned to Eleanor and said,"Elea.. Can you talk some sense into her.."
Brittany could have just as well been talking to a wall.
The fever took hold of Eleanor. She sat against the sauna wall; clutching the charm, which Theodore gave her.
She coo-ed a bit and said,"Theo... My sweet Theo... Where for art thou?..."
Brittany face palmed and said," She's finally lost it...
It's going to be a rough couple of days."
At the front desk...
Miss Miller was going over the Chipettes diet with the manager, Mrs. Baire.
"Would they like some Iced Mocha Frappachino?", asked Mrs. Baire
"Absolutely not! The caffeine levels can sicken or kill the girls.
They can have: juices, lemon aide, milk, or light green tea.", answered Miss Miller
Mrs. Baire then asked," What do they eat? Nuts & berries?.."
"As well as... Fish, chicken, eggs, rice, breads,yogurt, ice cream, and chocolate.",answered Miss Miller.
A polite voice interrupted by saying,"Excuse me.."
A pale man,( in a gray jumpsuit), presented his card..
It read: Formidolosi Exterminators.
"I have come to inspect the traps, that I placed in the Kitchen two weeks ago.", he said in a meek voice.
Mrs. Baire recognized the company, as one they have a contract with.
She then said,"O.K. Everything's in order. You may inspect them."
At the Seville house...
Dave and Uncle Adam were in the kitchen. Preparing lunch for the boys, as they discussed the future of The Chipmunks.
Uncle Adam, who was setting the table said,"We are dealing with nature Dave. They are having growing pains."
As Dave chopped some fruits, he said,"I know.. It's just a few more months.
They will officially graduate from school;. and have a hefty trust fund to raise a family with."
As they continued their discussion.. Three small shapes dart across the hall floor. Following the smell of chipmunks.
The little killers entered their room.., but The Chipmunks weren't there.
Alvin and his brothers were sud-sing up in the bathroom sink. Cleaning up after clearing out their room of junk..
In the spa's kitchen..
Mr. Formidolosi,( The Pesterminator), went about his business. Inspecting the many traps he set around the kitchen.
He observes Mrs. Baire handing a list to the cook. She says," Here's The Chipette's lunch menu. Call me when it's done."
The cook looked over the list. Then gathered the ingredients and placed them on the table.
He then went into the walk-in freezer to get something.
This was the moment that the Pesterminator waited for.
He looked at the list and saw that the girls were having pomegranate juice.
With a wicked glee he went to the cook's workstation and reached for a bottle of pomegranate liquor.
An alcoholic ingredient for cooking, which contains vodka.
He poured a shot of the liquor into the pomegranate juice..
"This should make The Chipettes easy to handle..", he thought to himself.
A little latter in The Chipette's room...
Room service delivered the girl's meal of : Coconut shrimp, salad, pomegranate juice,
and a tray of assorted, bite-sized, candy bars.
Brittany now could feel her blood warming up. The fever was slowly taking hold.
This meal can take her mind off the feelings.
She calls out," Jeanette.. Eleanor... Let's have our meal."
The three sisters sit around the plate, and begin to eat.
The hormonal changes made meek Jeanette aggressive in her eating habits.
She growled at Eleanor, as they wrestled for a shrimp.
Brittany had her fill of the meal. She grabbed a straw and sipped up some of the pomegranate juice.
After the first swallow; she felt a sudden flush in her cheeks. Her nose started to tingle and she then had a case of the hiccups.
Brittany was feeling kind of derpy.
"Jeanette.. Eleanor! Have some of this juice! It's really Good!", Brittany said with a peachy grin.
Her sisters hopped over and joined her.
They sniffed the drink and sipped deeply with Brittany.
A little latter, The Chipettes are dancing around and giggling.
The three stopped in front of the tray of candy bars.
The trio sing out,
"Do you know the way... to the next candy bar?
Oh don't ask why. Oh don't ask why.
For we must find... The next candy bar.
For if we don't find.. The next candy bar.
I tell you we must cry! I tell you we must cry!
I tell you.. I tell you...
I tell you we must cry!"
Brittany picks up a wrapper and sings,
"Oh Mounds and Abbazabas!
On you.. We love to dine..
We miss our dear boyfriends..
and need candy.. Oh you know why!"
Jeanette sings,
"Oh show us the way... to our sweet chipmunk boys!
Oh don't ask why!
Oh don't ask why!
For we must find our sweet chipmunk boys!
For if we don't find our sweet chipmunk boys!
I tell you we must cry!
I tell you we must cry!
I tell you.. I tell you...
I tell you we must cry!"
Eleanor sings,
" Oh Mounds and Abbazabbas!
On you.. We love to dine...
We miss our dear boyfriends...
and need candy! Oh you know why! "
The girls dig into the tray of candy. After they all had their fill, they fell asleep.
At The Chipmunks' bedroom...
Alvin and his brothers just came back from bathing.
Alvin was about to put on his hoodie, when he smelled something most foul..
He turned to Theodore and asked,"Theo … Did you just cut the cheese?"
Theodore shook his head and said ,"I'm clean!"
Simon smelled the air. Then he hears a familiar gnashing of teeth.
A chill ran down his spine.
He then took off his towel and said," That smell.. I think I know what it is.."
With a quick snap of his towel. Simon flushed out the monsters from under the bed.
Alvin cries out" Killer Shrews! Take to high ground!"
Then he leaped up to a chair, as Theodore scurried up a bedpost.
Shrews are no laughing matter.
Related to moles. These mouse like monsters are known to prey on rodents; larger than themselves.
They have a poisonous bite and eat everything. Hair, bone , gristle, etc.
As Simon fought off two with his towel.. One shrew got around him and sprang for his right leg...
But the shrew smashed into a shield; that Alvin got, from his ROBO-KNIGHT Space Toy!
Alvin, along with his brother, managed to corral the foul smelling beasties into a corner.
He yells out,"Now Theo!"
That was the cue for Theodore to push a hard plastic bowel off the end table.
It came crashing on top of the Killer shrews!
Dave and his uncle ran to the room; after hearing the noise.
He said ,"A-l-l-l-vin! Why are you tearing up your room?!"
Simon looked up and said,"Dave we have trouble! There are Killer shrews under that bowel!"
Uncle Adam removed a cardboard playbill from the wall. Then he slid it under the bowel.
This allowed him to flip it over. He walked with the bowel to the kitchen.
Dave watched his uncle placed a mesh strainer over it as he removed the playbill.
This revealed the ravenous monsters within.
Uncle Adam says," This is no accident! Someone is out to get your boys, and possibly the girls!"
Dave cried," The Chipettes! I better call Miss Miller!", as he ran to get his phone.
As Uncle Adam placed the covered bowel down, he noticed a furtive movement in the hall.
Something is heading to the boy's bedroom.
He caught a glimpse of a black and pink shape and followed it.
Alvin had just come out of his room. He was looking for Dave.
He cried out,"Dave!" Then froze with fear... Death stared him in the face..
A Giant Gila Monster was in front of him. Alvin smelled the beast foul breath as it tasted the air.
Alvin then saw his life pass before him; as the Monster made a quick lunge for him...
Then Nothing... The monster came to a dead halt when Uncle Adam,( wearing an oven mitt), caught it by the tail.
He then looked down at Alvin and said,"It's better if you and your brothers stay put...
'till I give this place a thorough check for unwanted guest.!"
Dave came back. He noticed the big lizard that his uncle held.
Then he said," I called Miss Miller.. She says the girls are Missing!"
The stakes have been raised! Can The Chipmunks and Uncle Adam Save the Chipettes?! P.S. I realized that I repeated a paragraph from chapter 19. that's why It's gone now.
