Pein parked the van in the parking lot of Jonny's burger shack, before getting out of the van. The other members got out of the van to before Pein locked it and headed for the restaurant. When they walked inside the smell of burgers and freshly cut pineapple filled the air. "Ooo Tobi is hungry!" Tobi groaned as he rubbed his stomach. Everyone else agreed as they walked over to be seated. A girl who looked to be 18 smiled at Pein as he approached her, "How many?" she asked.
"Um 12," Pein said as the girl nodded, "Okay right this way," Everyone followed the girl through the crowd of tables, a table of girls stared in awe as the guys walked passed. "Here's your table, a waiter will be right with you," she smiled handing them their menus before walking off. "Hmm mostly everything here is grilled," Niomi said glancing over the menu. "Yeah well this is a burger shack I would think mostly everything would be grilled," Pein sighed.
After a few minutes later a guy with dark brown hair and a tan skin came over, "Hi I'm Brad I'll be your waiter for this evening," he smiled, "Can I start you off with something to drink?" he asked as he started to place coasters with pineapples on them around. Pein nodded, "um yes I'll have the bonsai punch please," Pein ordered as the man wrote it down, "Um I'll have a virgin real Hawaiian pinna colada," Konan ordered.
"I'll have the Mondo punch," Sasori said.
"I'll have the banana baloza smoothie," Deidara ordered.
"Tobi want's the child's play apple juice!" Tobi grinned. "Um who's Tobi?" the man asked. Pein sighed before face palming himself, "Him, he's Tobi," The man nodded before he continued, "I'll have a Holuhala Rum Punch" Hidan ordered. "I'll have the same thing," Niomi smiled.
"I'll have the pineapple cabana," Kakuzu said, "With Vodka extra vodka,"
"I'll have the fire dance," Savannah ordered. "I'll have that to," Itachi smiled. "I'll have the shark bite," Kisame ordered as the man looked at him and smiled. It was kind of ironic that he wanted that drink and he was a shark.
"I'll just have water," Zetsu said. The man finished writing the orders, "Okay I'll be back to see if you're ready to order," The man quickly walked off leaving the Akatsuki alone to figure out what they wanted. After a few minutes he returned as promised with their drinks, giving everyone their drinks he waited for their order. "Okay um I'll have the Hawaiian burger," Pein said, "With fries on the side, but no pickles," the man nodded as he wrote down what he said. "I'll have the island Caesar salad with garlic croutons and grilled pineapple chicken," Konan smiled as the man nodded. "I'll have the mushroom burger," Sasori said dully as he sipped his drink. "I'll have the fire cracker grilled shrimp hmm, with a side of luau cut fries," Deidara ordered.
"Tobi want's the Hawaiian hot dog!" Tobi yelled causing Deidara to glare at him. Hidan ordered next, "Um give me the Volcano baby back ribs, with fries!" Niomi shook her head as she looked at her menu, "Um let me have the firecracker chicken strips with a side of potato wedges," she smiled. "Look here sunny I want the cheapest thing you got on dat menu…" Kakuzu mumbled as he swayed drunkly. Pein sighed he new he shouldn't have let Kakuzu order something with rum.
"I'll have the grilled chicken quesalldias with chipotle sauce and a small Caesar salad," Savannah ordered. "Um I'll have the pineapple barbeque wings," Itachi said. "I'll have the pineapple chicken," Kisame ordered. "Sticks," everyone gave Zetsu a weird look, "Just celery sticks,"
With the orders he wrote, the man went on his way to get the food. Niomi looked at Kakuzu as he swayed next to her, "Um Kakuzu are you feeling okay?" Niomi asked. Kakuzu looked at her before smiling, "Babe I'm just right!" Kakuzu assured. Hidan narrowed his eyes before pulling Niomi closer to him, "Don't get to close…that's a drunk Kakuzu," he whispered in her ear,
Pein sighed, "I knew I shouldn't have let you get that drink, it already had rum in it and you asked for extra vodka!" Pein groaned. "Don't blame me gramps, blame the waiter he influenced me," Kakuzu garbled. Pein shook his head, "How? He didn't say anything,"
"Exactly!" Kakuzu stated pointing his finger to the ceiling. Niomi snickered as Pein sighed, "Lets just hurry up and eat so we can get home," Konan sipped her drink, "Heh Peiny what are we doing tomorrow?" Konan asked as Pein sipped his drink, "Hmm I don't know, there's that Luau tomorrow night, but I didn't know what we'll do till then," Pein sighed as the food was placed in front of him. "Oh you guys can go to the boardwalk carnival," The waiter suggested pulling out a card. "I went there yesterday it was pretty cool and not expensive," He smiled giving the card to Pein.
"I hear dat…ain expensive just what old Kaka needs," Kakuzu yelled as he chugged down some chipotle fries. "I hope he chokes" Pein mumbled before turning back to the man, "Um thanks we'll look into it," The man nodded before walking off. "Okay so we'll go to the carnival tomorrow and go to the luau at night," Pein concluded. Everyone agreed as they ate their food, after they were done Pein signaled for the check, after paying everyone left and headed outside towards the van.
"Hey Sempai what's that?" Tobi said pointing to a bunch of people who sat near a fire pit. "I don't know Tobi hobos," Deidara shrugged not caring about the orange masked ninja. "Tobi wants to see," Tobi then ran off causing Pein to groan, "Let's go see what there doing," Pein sighed. The members slowly walked over to the people by the fire pit as the man, who seemed to be the one who everyone was looking at, looked up at them. The brown haired man smiled, "Why hello you look like tourists," he smiled. Pein nodded, "We are and who are you?" Pein asked as the man chuckled, "My name is Tikoli," the man greeted, "Did he just say tickle me?" Deidara wondered. "I'm the local story teller for this restaurant," he smiled pointing to the restaurant that they had just come from.
"I was just about to tell these folks here about the legend of Hanalolatiki!" he said in an eerie tone. Pein cocked an eyebrow in interest, "Hmm I guess we can stay here for a while to listen to a Hawaiian legend," Pein smiled. He nodded, "Alright then let us begin," With that he placed something into the fire causing it to explode upward into a bluish, greenish mist. Niomi gulped a bit before going closer to Hidan causing the silver haired man to smirk.
"Years ago there were frightening tails of a sharkman that ate man because he loved the taste of their flesh," The man begin, everyone one of the members glanced at Kisame, "W-What?" Kisame asked blushing from embarrassment. "But no one ever dared to speak of the ancient Tiki god of death Hanalolatiki!" Everyone gasped except for Pein who only rolled his eyes. "It was said that one night a woman named Pitaki went outside with her new born baby to show him the wondrous ocean of Hawaii, this night was the same night Hanalola…was aloud to feed on whoever he whished, although this was true he was only aloud to eat one human male. The woman Pitaki had decide to return to her house with her new born baby, however when the woman turned around she saw the deformed body and green eyes of Hanalola staring at her from her window, frightened the woman ran away from Hanalolatiki, but he didn't let her get away her screams where heard throughout the village making people wake from their slumbers, once the woman was found they say that Hanalolatiki had already gobbled her up and was now eating her baby, in horror the men tried to stop him, but Hanalola attacked them, devouring all of them one by one. The chef of the village knew a dance that drove Hanalolatiki away, but the god of death was never found, Hanalolatiki was forbidden to return as a god. That's why it is not wise to wonder around at night in the forest and bushes of Hawaii, because of the Hanalolatiki, who still roams Hawaii looking for new blood and meat to feast on," the man concluded just as the fire went out.
Everyone gasped and looked shaken up except for Pein who was bored out of his mind. The man then gave his goodbyes and whished everyone a safe trip home. Everyone returned to the house, Pein sighed as he walked inside, "I'm so tiered," he sighed. "Yeah gramps well go take your nap!" Kakuzu yelled. Pein only glared at Kakuzu before walking up the stairs. "D-Do you think Hanalolatiki is r-real?" Niomi asked everyone who stood there.
"No way," Savannah said rolling her eyes as she walked to her room. Everyone did the same accept Kakuzu who camped out on
the couch in front of the TV. Hidan slowly slipped on his grey pajama pants and dived into bed, Niomi slowly pulled her hair in a ponytail, "Hidan can we sleep with the light on?" she asked as he cocked an eyebrow, "Why?" She looked around the room with a sigh, "W-Well because you know…" Hidan sighed before nodding, "Sure babe why not…"Niomi smiled as she crawled into bed next to Hidan. A few minutes went by before there was a scream of a woman, Niomi's eyes flew open as she sat up, "W-What was that?" she asked.
The lights then went out causing her to squeak, "H-Hidan w-wake up…wake up its Hanalolatiki," Niomi gulped. Hidan slowly opened his eyes, "Wha?" "Hanalolatiki…" Niomi gulped. Hidan only looked at her before looking around the room, "Hey why did you turn off the lights if you're still scared?" Hidan asked as he got out of the bed. "B-But I didn't turn off the lights it was Hanalolatiki…" She squeaked. "Will you stop saying that your scaring yourself," Hidan groaned as he switched on the light, but nothing came on, "What the Jashin? Why isn't this working?" he growled. "I told you why, it was the…" "Don't say it," Hidan growled as he walked out the door.
Just then they heard a crash from outside causing Niomi to scream and jump behind Hidan, "W-What was that?" Niomi wondered.
"It was probably just a cat Niomi," Hidan sighed. Just then something came running out the kitchen at full speed towards them causing them both to scream loudly. "D-Did you guys hear that crash?" Tobi asked as he shook in front of them. Niomi blinked before releasing Hidan, "T-Tobi what the hell, don't just come running out of kitchens in the dark!" she growled as she punched him. Tobi whimpered, "S-Sorry Niomi-san I just got scared, first Tobi heard a scream then a crash…" "See! See! I told you it was Hanalolatiki!" Niomi screamed as Hidan rolled his eyes.
"What's going on?" Savannah asked with Itachi and Kisame by her side. "It's Hanalolatiki!" Niomi screeched. "Say what?" Savannah asked. Niomi was about to speak, but Hidan stopped her, "Ignore her the lights went out," Hidan said as Savannah sighed, "I know I can see that, where's Pein?" She asked. "Right here," Everyone turned around to see Pein along with everyone else. "Hey where's Kakuzu?" Hidan wondered. Pein's eyebrow raised, "I thought he was down here," Niomi gulped, "Oh no Kakuzu's missing…" Pein narrowed his eyes, "Don't tell me he went out partying with his drunk self!" Niomi quickly shook her head, "N-no way that's not like Kakuzu he doesn't like speeding money so why would he go out clubbing?" Pein pinched the bridge of his nose, "I don't know why, he's Kakuzu he is very unpredictable when he drinks alcohol," he sighed.
Niomi was about to say something when she spotted green eyes looking through the kitchen window, making her freeze in place and her eyes go wide. "Niomi what's wrong with you?" Pein asked. "Hanalo-hanalo-" Niomi mumbled. "What?" Konan asked. "HANALOLATIKI!" Everyone frowned before looking where she was looking, they all gulped as they saw green eyes looking at them. "AHHHHHHH!" they screamed as they retreated up stairs and into the nearest room. "W-Where are we?" Konan asked. "Hawaii," Hidan said stating the obvious. "No you idiot I mean whose room is this?" Everyone looked around as they tried to figure out whose room they were in, "Ow what the? Hey isn't this my clay?" Deidara wondered out loud.
"Say what?" Sasori gulped. "No one make any sudden movements," Pein warned as everyone stood still. "Itachi give us some light, but if you think you're next to Deidara's bombs don't…" he warned. Itachi nodded as he used his sharingan to see if there was any chakra, besides the members in the room, when he was sure there was none he pulled out a stick that he found and used a fireball jutsu on it. The room was suddenly bright with the orange colour of the flame, "So what are we going to do? We can't just sit here all night," Niomi gulped as she hugged Hidan. Hidan smirked before hugging her close, "I could," he smiled as Niomi glared at him.
Pein sighed as he locked the door, "I agree we can't just sit here, we're the Akatsuki, we've killed thousands of people so we shouldn't be frightened of something that's not real," Konan looked out the window of the room, the moon was high in the sky, but the grey clouds clouded it, while the rain, lightning and thunder accompanied the clouds. "So what are we going to do?" Sasori asked. Pein sighed before pacing the room, "Okay I have a plan we'll split up…."
"WHAT!" Niomi and Tobi yelled, Pein ignored them as he continued, "If any of us come in counter with the beast, we first see if it's real, then attack, okay?" Pein confirmed. Everyone nodded, "This is insane!" Niomi yelled. "The only thing that's insane is you thinking that Hanalolatiki is real!" Pein yelled. Niomi pouted before folding her arms, "Fine," she sighed. "We'll split up in groups of 4 and one group of 3," he concluded. Everyone nodded. Savannah, Sasori, Deidara and Tobi went together, Pein, Konan and Zetsu, went together and Itachi, Kisame, Hidan and Niomi went together.
"Okay one group needs to check outside, another needs to check upstairs and another needs to check downstairs," Pein instructed. "We'll take upstairs hmm," Deidara smiled. "And we'll take downstairs," Pein said before turning to Niomi's group, "That means you guys will check outside," Niomi's eyes widened, "W-What b-but it's raining outside!" She gasped. Pein glared at her, "Is that really a reason?" he asked as Niomi blinked, "Uh no not really, but is splitting up a really good idea?" she asked.
Pein only sighed. "Exactly Pein this is a stupid-"
"Niomi shut the hell up and let's go," Itachi growled as he dragged Niomi out of the room. "No I don't want to go, I don't want to go!" she screamed before Itachi covered her mouth. Hidan snickered as he and Kisame also left. "Anyways let's get going," Pein sighed. Konan and Zetsu followed him out the room and downstairs and Deidara and the others searched up stairs.
