Chapter 12: Everything is not what it seems and yay! Carnival
"I can't believe we're back out here again," Niomi groaned. Hidan walked next to her with his hands in his pockets, "Oh well I'm immortal so I don't f*cking care what the sh*t wad does," Hidan assured. Niomi stopped and placed her hands on her hips, "Hidan that's all fine and dandy, but I'm not immortal and even if your immortal how the hell are you gonna survive being eaten alive?" she asked skeptically. Hidan smirked as he turned to her, "Oh Niomi, Niomi when people are eaten alive they then become dead, but I remain alive so how is that for irony?" he smiled. Niomi's eye twitched before she pretended to strangle something in the air, "You are such an idiot," she screeched, "How is that ironic?" she questioned. Hidan only shrugged, which made her rub her hands down her face in annoyance.
While the two were arguing, they didn't notice a pair of green eyes glaring at them from the near by bushes. "Hidan I don't get you your nothing, but an idiot, who would have been dead years ago if not for your immortali-" a roar interrupted her. Turning around she saw the ugly creature as it stood in the shadows. With a gulp Niomi slowly backed up close to Hidan as the creature glared at them. "H-Hidan what are we going to do?" she asked. Hidan looked from her to the creature before smiling, "Dance!" he grinned. Despite being in this situation, Niomi couldn't help but look at him as if he was crazy, "What the heck?" She shouted. "Just follow my lead," Hidan commanded as he pushed a play button on his stereo. "Where the hell did you get that from?" Niomi wondered. "Don't worry just follow my lead," Hidan instructed as he placed on a pair of sunglasses. Niomi was going to ask him what the hell was he doing, then the music started.
As soon as the lyrics came on Hidan started singing and doing a dance Niomi did not understand nor did it seem to match the song. Hidan then began singing his own lyrics as Niomi only watched, he then signaled for her to join in, as much as she didn't want to the creature didn't seem to attack them yet so she might as well try. Hidan then began, "I'm gonna pop some tags. Got no dollars in my pocket. I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up. This is f*cking awesome," Then Niomi went, "I wear Savannah's clothes, I look incredible, I'm in this big Akatsuki coat. From that Hideout down the road. I wear Savannah's clothes.
Hidan: "damn right,"
Niomi: "I look incredible"
Hidan: "now come on girl"
Niomi: "I'm in this big akatsuki coat"
Hidan: "big ass coat"
Niomi: "From that hideout down the road"
Hidan: "let's go"
They then finished it off and waited for the creature to leave however it only glared at them before growling and attacking them. Niomi screamed as the creature tried to wrap its tentacles around her. "RUN, RUN, RUN!" Hidan yelled as they ran around the house.
Savannah looked up from the draw she was looking in and ran to the window were Sasori stood, "What the heck?!" She shouted as she watched Hidan and Niomi run away from the thing. "Damn it this must be Hidan's fault," Savannah groaned. "Or Niomi," Sasori mumbled before Savannah pulled him out the room. "Why are we out here?" Sasori asked. "We have to stop that monster one way or another, because Niomi and Hidan aren't doing a good job," Savannah sighed. Sasori looked to the side before Niomi and Hidan ran past them at an intense speed.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIFES!" They both yelled not once stopping until they reached their room. Sasori rolled his eyes before he spotted the creature in front of him, "Um Savannah any suggestions?" He asked as she gulped. She then clenched her fist and ran towards the creature, "Ninja art lightning-" before she could finish the creature grabbed her and dragged her towards it, making her disappear in the darkness. Sasori gasped as the creature came towards him, "U-Um I got no strings to hold me down to make stop to make me frown…" Sasori began as he sang the Pinocchio song. Before he could finish the creature took him to.
Konan screamed from the kitchen as the monster turned around. Pein gulped and took out his kunai, "Good going Konan, you just attracted it," Pein groaned. "Shut up and do something!" Konan yelled. "Why don't you shut up and do some…" He was interrupted by a few tentacles wrapping around his leg, as the creature dragged him towards it. "PEIN!" Konan shouted. "Konan you need to get outta here," Pein shouted, "Go find Zetsu!" Konan trembled as she began to run away before tentacles wrapped around her also and pulled her to her doom. Zetsu peeped from out the kitchen, in fear, "Damn what are we going to do?" White Zetsu asked. "I don't know but whatever we do we need to get outta of here fast!" Black Zetsu assured. The plant man slowly tried to tip toe out of the kitchen but was spotted by the creature.
"Maybe we should run?" White Zetsu asked. "No we should just stay here and let the thing eat us," Black Zetsu said with sarcasm. "No need to be sarcastic I was only asking," White Zetsu assured being slightly offended. The two continued to argue unaware that the creature had crept up behind them, before they noticed the creature snatched them away as well. Niomi rocked back and forth on the floor as Hidan listed to the noise outside the door. "W-W-What's going on out there?" Niomi asked. Hidan slowly moved away from the door, "Well everyone's dead and were the only ones left," Hidan sighed as he walked over to Niomi who was now standing.
"Looks like we're going to have to repopulate the earth," He sighed. Niomi punched him in the arm, "Hidan this is no time for your perverted jokes!" Niomi growled. Hidan smirked, "Hey might as well lighten up the mood, besides I'll live I'm immortal," Hidan assured, "You though you ain got a chance," he whispered. Niomi slowly placed her hands on her hips, "What was that?" She asked. "but you could be saved if you convert to Jashinism," he assured. Niomi's eye twitched as she grabbed his shirt, "You idiot how would that help?" She growled. "Well you see you'll be immortal and will live and-" before Hidan could continue the creature burst into the room.
Niomi gasped as she screamed and hugged Hidan, Hidan did the same as the creature came closer. "Hidan no matter what I've said I actually like you," Niomi confessed as the two trembled. "Niomi I groped your boobs while you were sleeping," Hidan confessed. "You what!" Niomi yelled before the monster took them also.
The next morning Niomi awoke on top of a sleeping Hidan. She gasped as she quickly sat up and looked around, "W-What happened?" she wondered out loud. She then remembered last night, was that all just a nightmare? She shook Hidan to wake him up, instantly he sat up, "AHHH WHERE IS THE MONSTER!" he yelled. Niomi blinked, well at least she knew it wasn't a dream, she slowly got up and so did Hidan before they walked out into the living room, to find Pein, Konan and the others sitting down. "Um guys?" Niomi whispered. Pein turned to looked at them, before he smiled, "Morning guys, it's good to see you're awake," He assured. Hidan's eyebrows rose, "Oh sh*t Niomi Hanalolatiki has taken us to a universe where everyone's gay," he gulped.
Pein sighed, "No, No, turns out the Hanalolatiki was actually Kakuzu, sleep pick pocketing," he grumbled as he glared at the tall ninja. Kakuzu shrugged and continued counting his money. "Yeah we kinda found out after he turned back into his old self," Itachi assured. Niomi gasped before she attacked the Uchiha in a spine-breaking hug. "Itachi, oh I thought you were gone, I'm so glad your alive," she assured as she squeezed him. "C-Can't breath, can't breath!" Itachi gasped before Kisame removed the blonde from him. "Anyways, forgetting that today we have the carnival and the luau tonight," Pein assured, "So I don't want any screw ups or destruction understand?" He asked as everyone agreed. "So when are we leaving?" Niomi asked. "In an hour," Pein assured, "So make sure you're ready," Niomi nodded before she sprinted into her room to pick out her outfit. Hidan decided it would be a good idea to yell at Kakuzu for steeling his wallet. Pein and Konan retreated to their room to escape Hidan's noise. Deidara, Tobi and Kisame went outside on the beach, Itachi went into the kitchen with Savannah and Sasori went into his room to watch HGTV. White Zetsu and Black Zetsu were arguing whether or not they were gonna stay here or go to the carnival.
After what seemed like forever it was time to leave, "Alright well Zetsu isn't coming with us, he's just gonna stay here and swim and as much as I don't want him to I trust Zetsu," Pein assured. "You don't trust us?" Niomi asked. "No," Pein said bluntly. Niomi pouted as they board in the van and headed for the carnival. The carnival was about an hour away so when they arrived everyone was thankful, especially Pein. "Alright since there's only 11 of us," Pein began. "Only?" Sasori whispered to Deidara as he snickered. "We'll break off into partners," Pein assured.
Deidara's eyes grew wide, that mean he'd be with… "Deidara-sempai I'm with you!" Tobi screamed with glee as he latched onto Deidara's arm. "Let go of me hmm!" Deidara growled as he tried to shake Tobi off of him, but the mask ninja wouldn't budge. "f*ck I'm with Kuzu, oh joy" Hidan said sarcastically. Kakuzu narrowed his eyes before he slapped Hidan in the back of his head, "Don't call me Kuzu ever again," He warned. Hidan glared at him, "I can call you Kuzu anytime I want, Kuzu~" he smirked. "Shut it!" Kakuzu warned. "Kuzu, Kuzu, Kuzu!" Hidan yelled. "Hidan saying that makes you guys sound like lovers so shut up!" Konan yelled as Hidan glared at her.
"Maybe them being together isn't such a good idea, leader-sama," Itachi suggested. Pein nodded in agreement, "Your right, Niomi go with them Savannah you go with Itachi and Kisame," Pein said regrouping the two girls. "NOOOOOO!" Niomi moaned as Hidan smirked. "It's okay I promise to behave," Hidan smiled before she started to choke him. "Okay lets set a time to meet back here," Pein announced. "And stick to it," Sasori groaned. Pein checked his watch before he spoke, "Alright Akatsuki it's 10:00 we'll meet back here at 1:00 alright?" he asked, everyone agreed except for Hidan. "What are we meant to do for 2 hours?" He groaned. "It's actually 3 and this is a big place, you'll find something to do," Pein assured before he walked off with Konan.
"This place is big you'll find something to do," Hidan mimicked as Niomi rolled her eyes. "Anyways lets get going guys," The blonde grinned as she linked her arms with Kakuzu and Hidan, before dragging them with her. "I feel sorry for them," Itachi sighed. Everyone nodded before they walked off to. Kisame and Itachi both had traveled to the game stalls part of the carnival, there was hoppla, darts and shooting ranges with tons of prizes. Kisame's eyes grew wide as he spotted a test your strength machine. "Ooo Itachi-san lets try this one!" Kisame smiled. Before Itachi could stop the blue skinned ninja he was already rushing through the crowd towards the stand.
"Step right up and test your strength," A plump man in a carnival suit shouted. As soon as he spotted Kisame, he smiled, "Well aren't you a strange looking fellow why don't you show us how it's done?" he grinned as he gave the mallet to Kisame. Kisame's eyes brightened, "Hey Itachi-san look that guy wants me to try out the game," he grinned. Itachi sighed as he followed the shark ninja towards the game. The man seemed to be amazed at how tall Kisame was as Kisame angled the hammer over the base of the machine. "Kisame remember not to hard," Itachi warned. Kisame didn't even seem to hear the Uchiha as he muster up all his strength along with his chakra and slammed the hammer onto the base. The puck flew high into the bell, with a buzz before smashing it into pieces. The puck still escaladed up into the sky before falling back down and smashing into the machine.
The man blinked as he looked at his now broken machine, he then turned to a grinning Kisame and a pissed looking Itachi. "Are you human?" the man asked. Kisame's smile widened, "Yeah," The man's mouth hung open in shock, "Amazing…" Kisame scratched the back of his head, "So uh what do I win?" The man recovered from his shock before going over to his stand and picking out a few things. "Here two tickets to tonight's late night comedy show, a stuffed shark and and these two pairs of shutter shades," the man said as he handed the prizes to Kisame. Kisame smiled as he handed Itachi the red shutter shades before placing his own blue pair on.
Itachi sighed before slipping the shutter shades on as well, "It makes no sense to tell you this but I will anyway, you shouldn't have used your full amount of chakra or your super strength you know," Itachi scold as Kisame sighed. "Itachi-san it doesn't matter, they didn't suspect a thing and Pein isn't here to see or know anything," Kisame explained as he moved onto another game., "Besides look at all the benefits we get," he grinned. Itachi couldn't disagree with that, "Fine, but don't over do it," he sighed as Kisame grinned.
"I don't even see why that's so special, it's just a dinosaur," Hidan grumbled as he walked next to Niomi. The girl smiled as she hugged the green reptile, "Yeah, but Kakuzu won it for me, so it is special," She smiled. Kakuzu hid his blush as he walked beside her. Hidan narrowed his eyes, "Well I could win something for you," He yelled. "Oh really? Cause Kakuzu was sure kicking your ass at all the other games you guys played," Niomi reminded. "That's because Kakuzu f*cking cheats!" Hidan yelled. A woman glared at him for using such harsh language, but Hidan didn't seem to notice or care for that matter.
Niomi smiled as they continued to walk through the carnival, "So where should we head to next?" She asked. Kakuzu looked around before he spotted a ride that caught his interest. "How about over there?" he suggested. Niomi and Hidan both looked to see the ride Kakuzu was pointing at. "The drop tower?" Niomi asked. "Sounds cool!" Hidan shrugged. Niomi looked back at the ride before sighing, "Um okay then lets go," Niomi smiled as the three walked to the line. "Whoa look how high it goes up," Niomi mumbled as she watched the seat move up with four people in it. Hidan smirked, "Are you scared Niomi?" he asked before she punched him. "No way, are you?" She asked. Hidan rolled his eyes, "Please I sacrifice people to Jashin and stab myself why would I be scared?" he asked. Niomi rolled her eyes, "That's not something to be proud of," she mumbled as they got closer to the ride.
They final stood in front of the tower, the only thing that was stopping them from getting on was the small gate in front of them. "Last chance to leave," Hidan smirked as Niomi smiled at him before crossing her arm. "Lets get this over with," she grinned. The young man walked over to them before sighing, "Tickets please," Kakuzu handed the guy three tickets before he opened the gate and aloud the three to walk through towards the ride. "Last chance Niomi," Hidan snickered as they walked up the steps towards the seats of the ride, they quickly sat in as the man buckled each of them, before walking off the platform and starting the ride.
"You sure your not scared Niomi?" Hidan laughed as Niomi smirked, "Hidan why do you keep trying to make yourself sound less scared by trying to scare me?" she asked. Hidan narrowed his eyes before answering, "tch, we'll see," he grumbled. While the two were arguing the hadn't really noticed how high they were, Kakuzu on the other hand did notice and wasn't speaking he'd actually seen what this ride did and was preparing for the fall. As they reached the top with a sudden halt Niomi and Hidan both quit arguing and took in their surroundings.
"Wha?!"
"Eh?"
"HOW'D WE GET UP HERE?!" They both yelled.
Kakuzu sighed, leave it to the both of them to be totally unaware that they were moving upwards. "K-Kakuzu did you do this?!" Hidan yelled. Kakuzu glared at him, "How the hell would I have been able to do that?" he asked with a glare. "Easy you could have used your strings!" Hidan pointed out. "His what?" Niomi questioned.
"Strings, you know those gray things that come out of his arms,"
"Oh you mean his noodles," Niomi realized as Hidan nodded.
Kakuzu looked at the two of them, he swore they both had the same size brain as a squirrel, not that even. "So you think I did this?" Kakuzu questioned.
"Of course not Kakuzu why would you?" Niomi questioned. Hidan glared at them both, "Because he's a son of an b****tch!" Hidan screamed the last part as they dropped. Niomi was definably screaming the loudest because Kakuzu was sure he'd gone deaf in his left ear. When they finally slowed down Niomi was still screaming as the bars lifted up. Kakuzu glared at her and so did Hidan before the two of them covered her mouth.
She blinked before moving their hands in annoyance. She sighed before looking back and gasping, "Where's Zest-kun?" Hidan gave her a strange look, "Who?" Niomi began to panic, "Zest-kun! You know my prize!" she gasped as she looked around. Hidan's eye twitched, "You mean the dinosaur?" Hidan asked as Niomi nodded. "You gave a name to that ugly piece of sh*t?" Hidan asked loudly. Kakuzu sighed, did they really need to make such a scene, just then he looked up to see the green dino falling from the sky. "Isn't that it?" He asked. Hidan and Niomi both looked up to see the dino falling before hitting Hidan in the eye and bouncing into Niomi's arms.
"Ow my f*cking eye!" Hidan yelled. "Zest-kun," Niomi giggled as she hugged the dino. "Damn Dino tried to poke my f*cking eye out," he growled. Kakuzu quickly grabbed Niomi's wrist before tugging her towards the exit as Hidan followed suit grumbling along the way.
Pein placed a sweet sugary piece of cotton candy in his mouth as he handed the stuff to Konan. "This was actually a good idea, I'm surprised, things like this usually go wrong," Pein mumbled. Konan placed a piece of cotton candy in her mouth, "Don't say anything to jinx it Pein," she assured as Pein nodded. "Ah right, wouldn't want disaster to come for a visit," Pein sighed. Konan smiled before fanning herself, "Arg it's so hot though," she scanned the place as she tried to find a booth that sold drinks.
Spotting one she walked over and Pein followed, she quickly paid for two waters before handing one to Pein. "Hmm so do you want to go play a game or two?" Konan asked before talking a sip of her water. Pein looked ahead of him as he took another piece of cotton candy, "Uh sure what do you want to play?" The blue haired konochi looked at each of the stalls that they passed she was about to suggest they play hoopla when she saw a familiar blue skinned fellow. "Hey Pein…" she began. Pein turned to her, "What is it?" he asked. "Isn't that Kisame and Itachi?" she asked as she pointed ahead.
Pein squinted his eyes to see better, "What the madara?!" he mumbled before running towards the pair. Konan gasped in surprise before following the orange haired man. Pein pushed through the crowd to grab ahold of the blue skinned shark man. "Kisame!" he growled. Kisame turned to see Pein and his smile faded, "O-Oh hey Pein," he stuttered. "What the hell are you doing with all these prizes?" Pein growled. Just when Pein thought it couldn't get any worse Itachi walked next to them with a trolley full of prizes.
Pein turned to Itachi and then back to Kisame. Kisame gulped as Itachi sighed, "I tried to warn him," Itachi assured. Pein narrowed his eyes at the Uchiha, "I wouldn't be saying that if I were wearing red shutter shades," Pein growled. "Don't worry Pein we have enough for the entire member body of the Akatsuki," Kisame assured as he shifted his weight before pulling out a dark blue pair and handing it to Konan. She blinked before smiling and reaching for the glasses, before she could take them Pein snatched them away and broke them in half. "How'd you get these?" he growled. Kisame only opened his mouth before Pein cut him off, "Did you steel them?" he growled.
"No I-" Kisame began.
"You did steel them didn't you!" Pein said it more like an accusation than a question.
"U-Um…"
"That's it I'm gonna ricon pull your ass!" he yelled.
Kisame quickly hid behind Itachi even though he was clearly a lot taller. Konan sighed before placing her hand on Pein's shoulder, "Look Pein I'm sure Kisame won these prizes fairly," Kisame nodded like a little kid as Pein glared at him, "And besides using a jutsu here will only cause trouble and scare the people, and by the way you'd be breaking one of YOUR rules," Konan assured as she crossed her arms.
Pein didn't say anything, Itachi then stepped in, "and if you break a rule the others are bound to as well, an organization is only as good as it's leader," Itachi reminded. Pein sighed he was pissed, but they both made a good point he slowly regained his composer before looking at the two. "Okay then, as long as you are winning those prizes fairly, I will let this go," he sighed. Kisame smiled, "Eh heh of course leader-sama," he then looked at Konan before handing her another pair of shutter shades. Konan blinked and reached out for them, her eyes caught Pein looking her way, which made her quickly take the glasses just in case he snatched them again.
She slowly placed them on her head, which pushed some of her blue strands of hair back off her face. "Alright then, you guys continue to have fun," she grinned before pulling Pein away. "O-Oy Konan let me go!" Pein shouted as she dragged him through the carnival.
Savannah walked beside Deidara and Sasori as they walked along the carnival. "This carnival is the most dullest carnival I have ever been to," Deidara mumbled as he looked around at the various gamming stalls. Sasori rolled his eyes, "It's the only carnival you've ever been to," he reminded. "True but I was expecting a little more life hmm," Deidara sighed as he looked around. His blue eyes then caught something before he stopped, "Hey wait what's that over there?" he asked. Sasori and Savannah stopped and looked in the direction Deidara was looking in, "Oh it looks like a fun house," Savannah assured.
"Fun house?" Sasori wondered out loud before Deidara started heading for the huge tent. He walked up to the person that sat at the side before raising his eyebrows, "Um can we go in?" he asked. The man nodded before stepping aside, Deidara smiled as he walked into the tent, Sasori and Savannah followed. When they entered, the tent didn't have much people in it at the side there was a kid that had on a baseball cap and a woman who looked to be in her early 30's.
"Damn this place is dead hmm," Deidara muttered. "What are we meant to be doing exactly?" Sasori questioned. "Your meant to make your way out of the fun house!" the man from outside boomed. "That'll be easy!" Tobi yelled. Deidara jumped, he'd actually forgotten Tobi was with them, since he'd been so quiet. "Tobi is ready to go!" Before Deidara could stop him Tobi was already headed through the fun house, first looking into the funhouse mirrors and hopping over trap doors. Deidara's eye twitched before he also followed Tobi, only he slammed into one of the glass mirrors in the mirror maze. "Ow," Deidara groaned as he fell backwards. "Hah hahah Deidara-senpai can't catch Tobi," Tobi bragged as he walked through the maze without any problem. Of course this only pissed Deidara off more, since Tobi was actually doing better than him. Deidara slowly sat up, "I'll show you who can't catch who, hm" he growled as he began to take out his clay.
Sasori and Savannah gasped before they ran towards Deidara, "Deidara don't you dare!" Savannah warned as she placed her hand over his. Deidara looked at the two before he blushed when he saw Savannah's hand. "Are you crazy you can't blow up this place!" Sasori growled. Deidara glared at Sasori before getting up, and putting his clay away. "Where'd you get that clay anyways?" Savannah asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well I thought Pein took away all of your clay,"
Deidara smirked, "That's what he thought, but I'm never away from my clay," he smiled.
Sasori and Savannah both face palmed as Deidara grinned.
