Aang was running. He didn't know what from or why but all he knew was that he had to get away from it, it was too powerful to be stopped. His only option was escape.
He was in a dark tunnel and could hear the beast massive steps beating nearer and nearer. The walls were collapsing around him because of the immense pure power of the beast he was afraid, more afraid than any other time in his life because he knew he couldn't stop this beast and it was almost on him.
He saw a light round a corner it was his only chance. He dived for it but to his horror the beast roar at exactly that moment as if anticipating his move. Rock began to fall and block the exit but these were no ordinary rocks they were metal infused so they weighed more and he could hardly budge them. As the fell they made a small gap, he dived for it. Sliding for what seemed like minutes watching rock after rock fall around the small hole making it ever smaller. He squeezed through only to find Toph and many earth benders surrounding the hole. She was laughing at him others jeered them on to as they threw these enhanced rocks at Aang. He was helpless, right before they stuck. He woke.
It had all been a dream an extremely bad dream but what if it was true. Aang knew that he couldn't yet bend metal or chemical liquids or anything that had been artificially tampered with. It was quite a shame, he'd had the time and the mentors but had been more focused on his love life with Katara that had come to quite an abrupt end nearly a month ago, and he was still suffering the side effects.
He attempted to stand quickly remembering that he couldn't see and that his arm was good for nothing. So, lying back, he looked around and found a small pale of water that was lightly dirty but even while blind he could clear. He did so and drank more than half the bucket. He was really getting tired of not being able to do anything himself. It may only have been a few hours but he wanted to be able to help others instead of others helping him, it was part of the job as current avatar.
He slept on until he was woken by the moving of the animals by some old person who seemed to miss him sleeping on the straw at the back in the shade of the barn. Luckily for Aang this was the case otherwise he'd of been visited by every person this side of the fire nation, word might even of spread of his 'condition' to Toph, one fate he'd prefer to avoid. The mystery woman came back little before midday asking why he wasn't up yet. Aang simply responded by pointing at his blind fold and then his arm. She went quiet for a small while after but her positive mood was not one to be broken easily, so vent out the embarrassment she decided a good run would do wonders. So picking up Aang she began to run down the path she'd just come from.
Aang didn't know the area so relied on this woman to guide him. Unfortunately her guidance skills were in need of refining so Aang managed to slam into most every tree and fall over every branch and at one point nearly fell down a hill. Though through all this they made it, battered and bruised but still, they'd made it. The stranger sat down and exclaimed what a beautiful sight it was and how nothing could be more amazing than the view that she could see. They laid back on to a rock. "Ty lee" the girl said in a calm voice. For a second Aang was puzzled what sort of language was this, then he remembered it was a name but not just any name the name of his friend. She had been the one who had worked against him during the war but had come to her senses during the final 'stages' and had become a Kioshi warrior along with Suki. 'That must have been who told her I was coming this way' thought Aang.
Not giving Aang a chance to speak she began to climb another hill, this one a lot more rocky than others they'd faced that day. She had been showing off her acrobatic skills earlier but now she really was in a league of her own without those kinds of skills or being able to bend you would never of been able to go up the rocky pass. Aang attempted to copy her but gave but and earth bended a platform and sent it up using fire. Ty lee saw this as a challenge and provided to move quicker and more fluidly than before.
She had nearly reached the top when she grabbed a branch and it came loose, she plummeted. Aang sensed this and dived down after her catching her and putting up a field of air was their only hope. He dived faster than Ty lee but she'd made it over a quarter of the way down before he'd started so this would be close. He reached out blindly realising he couldn't see but could still use the air. If only he still had his glider, he had left it with Soka for safe keeping after the attack on the northern air temple. Never mind he thought he had to get to Ty Lee and quickly, he pushed air behind him and fell even faster than he could naturally. He could feel the ground coming up fast but more than that he could hear Ty Lee's scream which he meant that he was seriously close and that she hadn't been able to stop falling. He reached out to where the sound was coming from and poked her in the nose. Seeing this she grabbed his hand and wrapped herself around him. Still screaming that the ground was coming up, she yelled at Aang that he should stop their fall roughly now.
Aang was calm and not 10 meters above the air set out some compact spinning air that caught them like stacked cushions. Ty Lee landed on her feet as did Aang. The first thing she immediately did was rush over to Aang and brought him into a tight hug. Aang hugged back, then stopped. Something wasn't right he felt it. He shoved Ty Lee back into a cave right before a boulder smashed right where he was. Boulders kept falling and soon they had the entrance to the cave blocked with no way out she was stuck in there, till fate played its hand.
