Ty lee was scared and shut off from the world, she'd just killed the avatar. Maybe if she could of… "What's the point" She asked herself "Where's the point in any of this. I got the world's saviour and myself killed because of my stupidity. He couldn't even see, but he rescued me. And now I'm going to die because of my actions. Oh Why?" She burst into her third spontaneous fit of crying. She was huddled into a ball on the far wall. It was all dark but for the small candle she lit. But that would only make last a shorter time. Her eyes were red and her body sore but she kept telling herself that she could be and probably should be in a worse place right now. She wept and the crying echoed throughout the mountain. She'd checked through the cave within the first hour of being here but she found nothing. She was trapped. Nothing mattered to her anymore. Not life, not death, not why, when how or anything. Then she realised. She was crying not because of her own death but of someone she cared about. Aang was more than the avatar to her, he was a close friend that she might have been more given time. But now life was gone and will had left her.
It got cold quickly up in the mountains, the candle died and Ty lee had only brought the one match. She was scared and all alone on a dark, cold mountain. Not to mention she still had blood on her hands. The greatest warrior in the world and a link to a world long forgotten killed because of her arrogance. She tried crying but her body wouldn't let her, she didn't have the water to keep going like this. She turned onto her side and eventually slept out of exhaustion.
Half way through the night she was woken by a huge boom that echoed through the maze of caves above her. It was followed by multiple more. Ty Lee looked a mess. Her once perfect hair now partially stood on end and partially flat. Her mascara and eye-liner a mess making her look tired, run-down and extremely sad, like her prom date had agreed to go out with her then got hit by a car. He clothes were covered in a layer of dust which had settled on her over night from the rock fall and in places her clothes were ripped. That day she'd been wearing a slightly revealing outfit. It suited her. The rocks had cut her and her clothes in places and her body was stiff but she was mostly alright, though her skin was a bit paler and her body cool like the rocks surrounding her were. She heard the sound again, it nearly knocked her off her feet. The earth on one side of the cavern began to crack and splitters went flying in her direction. Suddenly a hand shot through and a familiar voice said "Ty Lee? Ty Lee are you in there?". She shouted back her reply then ran over to the rock and started tarring it away.
Aang fell through the last of rock, his blind fold nearly destroy, his shirt and trousers missing but some sort of shorts and trousers survived. He had no shirt but a six-pack, he was very well built. She realised she was staring, she quickly ripped up part of her clothes to give him a sort of cushion. Ty snugged up near him and got warm and before she knew it, she was asleep.
Another crack. And another. Ty Lee woke with a start, she helped Aang didn't she. What if that was an illusion? She turned and saw that Aang wasn't there, nor was the pillow/ cushion she'd laid out. She ran to the place where the crack was and the noise was coming from within. Oh no, she really hadn't got Aang out. She slipped through the gap and ran into the rock, it was smoothly cut no jagged edges anywhere. She continued walking until she came across a circle, this must have been where Aang was. She looked around trying to stab her vision through the eerie darkness when she saw what she was looking for. A small area of carved out rock and a figure digging out random tunnels, she stood there and was nearly brought to tears. The sight of Aang. It was a momentous and deterring moment where she saw that he was just as he was before the rock slide, but before the rock slide he wasn't top of the world. He was still blind. He was going a circle and he was making a round trip, starting with a new circle. Ty Lee walked to wards him, clearing up the tearing that had formed in her eyes before tapping him on the shoulder and bringing him into a huge hug. Aang hugged back but it wasn't as heartfelt as Ty Lee's. She embraced him and never wanted to let go but Aang did and she realised that she must. She unwillingly realised him and stood awkwardly next to him. She then looked at Aang, who was wearing the pillow as a form of extremely scruffy shirt, but he still looked amazing to her. She straightened out the top then looked where Aang's eyes would have been. Two more days and she could take the blind fold off, they could survive till then. She led him back to the circle. "How did you survive that falling rock?" She asked.
Aang boosted "I earth bent it with ease before it could hit me"
"Then wouldn't I have been safe with you"
"I wasn't sure I could do it, but my avatar state kicked in and I was able to create most of the tunnel to you but if you look down there there's an extremely sharp rock. Hit my wound stopped my avatar state." Ty Lee looked into the narrow passage and sure enough there was a spike.
"Why'd you come for me?" Ty Lee asked
"Because it's my job to help and protect." Said Aang
"oh…" Ty Lee flatly, this had hit her hard.
"Oh what?"
"Oh never mind" Said Ty Lee putting on a smile, she was trying to mask her feelings and although Aang couldn't see her smile it made her feel better by doing it. Her voice got higher in the sentence. Aang didn't buy it but he knew there'd come a time and a place.
"ok then, so how are we getting out?"
"We have two options" Explained Ty Lee "Either you try to bend us out or we wait for the village to rescue us."
"I'm not sure cutting into this rock with only one blind bender is a good idea."
"Then we'll wait."
And so they waited and waited and waited for a few hours but for Ty Lee that went by like minutes, being with Aang. She thought to herself, how quickly did I fall for this guy? I mean he doesn't even like me, does he? She kept thinking about this over the next few hours until she felt tired. Aang found some sticks by the rock fall and created a fire. Ty lee snuggled next to him, she listened to his stories while thinking over how much she really liked him. She wasn't sure but brotherly seemed to fit for now maybe more. Maybe. Aang finished his final story and dispersed the fire. He circulated the air then put out the cushion but sat upright. "Aren't you going to sleep?" Asked Ty Lee "I can stay awake" Aang replied with a slight closing of his eye emphasised by a small but deep yawn. Ty Lee grabbed his leg and made his body go numb, "No you're sleeping." She lay him down on the cushion then snuggled in close to him, to conserve body heat she kept telling herself.
Help came sooner than they thought, in the middle of the night the rocks began to float away. Multiple dark figures dressed in brown and covered in mud jumped out of trees and bended the rocks out of place. They snuck in without making a noise and by the time the sun hit the floor of the cave, it was empty.
