"Why am I here!" Andromeda yells out. One second she had been swimming deep underwater, the next, she was standing in a large room with a giant orb dangling down.
"Calm down Andromeda," her uncle, Apollos says as he tries to calm her down.
"Well, I would if I had any clue why I was here," she snaps impatiently.
"Who is that," Yui Kusanagi whispers to Dionysius.
"That is Andromeda Tsukigomori , daughter of Artemis and the goddess of change, choices, hate, forgiveness, stars and their constellations as well as children," he explains.
"Shut up Dionysius!" Andromeda snaps.
"Andromeda, stop it this instant," Apollo says, an icy tone in his voice.
With that, Andromeda gives up and looks around the room, trying to see who else what in the same situation as she was. Who she saw shocked her as along with herself, Ares and Poseidon were also here from Greece. From Norse mythology were the twins Ve and Vili as well Vithar and from Japan were Amaterasu, Izanami, and Ryujin.
After a few minutes a voice calls out and drew everyone's attention to the stairway in the center of the room. "Welcome one and all the the school for reforming strayed deities," the figure at the top of the staircase calls out.
"Zeus … " Andromeda whispers, a furious expression forming.
Her mind slowly lost any reason and she starts to climb up the stairs. As she reaches the top, her arm bursts into fire and aims to punch Zeus.
"Not the welcome I expected form my granddaughter," he says with a slight laugh, hand grasping onto her fist.
"You gave up the right to call me that when you killed my brother!" she yells, the venom underlining her tone unmistakeable by anyone. Yanking her hand out of his grasp, a dagger of fire appears in her hand and she aims for Zeus's heart.
"Andromeda, that's a no no," A voice calls out, projecting over the chaos occurring.
Her eyes widen as Andromeda recognizes who had just appeared in front of her. She slowly edges down the stairs as she whispers, "Loki?". As she reaches the bottom of the stairs, she slowly melts into the crowd, trying to comprehend what had just happened.
Of all the people she had expected to see, of all the people she wanted to see, Loki was as far form first as possible. Loki had been her first love, and in a sense her only love. But most of all, he was also her fiancee, who despite his promise to be there for her, was never around through her ups and downs.
The room falls quiet and Yui shuffled awkwardly at the front of the room. "Well … umm … " she mumbles.
With that, Andromeda's mind drifts off and she ignores the ongoing lecture. She was currently in a room with the two people she hated in the world the most : Zeus and Yui Kusanagi.
While Zeus may have been her grandfather, he had also killed Andromeda's twin brother. The two of them had been born during the same era and Zeus had been threatened by their existence. As they grew in fame and gained glory, Zeus believed that they would detract from Heracles' glory. So he had decided that before Andromeda and Hunter gained their godly powers, one of them had to go. He had made use of the three of them being in the same town and had ordered that a child of the gods be sacrificed to appease his anger. The people were not stupid, they knew that they could not sacrifice Heracles. So Hunter had died to ensure that his younger sister by five minutes would not lose her life. Everything he had ever done had always been for her, and in the end, he died for her too.
Yui on the other hand had never directly done anything to Andromeda. But to her, there was more than the personality that had captured the hearts of all of those who had come to Zeus' reform school. She put on an air of sincerity to change the blueprint within each god and goddess she encountered. And maybe, just a little bit, she was jealous, because Yui had captured Loki's attention. Loki, despite being her fiance had not been there for her when her brother had died, when her world had started to crash down on her. But he had been there for Yui, forever and always.
Andromeda turned her attention back to the front of the room with a sigh just in time to hear Yui's conclusion to their welcome speech. "Well, I hope you will all learn to accept humans and to learn to love them," she said, and smile gracing her face.
With that, those who had attended the school previously mingled with the crowd of new students, Sighing, Andromeda leans against a pillar in the back of the room, trying to disappear.
Suddenly, she felt someone tugging her hair and she looks down to see who was bored enough to do so.
"What do you want," she said with a sigh, asking Loki, who had been twirling her silver hair like a comet.
"Nothing really, thought I would recommend that you pay attention next time. Wandering off isn't really the best way to start off a new experience," he replies.
"I'll do as I want, it's not like I actually want to be here in the first place," she says dryly.
"You don't really have a choice right now. Zeus has already put on the magic sucking charms, you really can't do much to retaliate," he responds as he gestures to the charm that had decided to make it's home on her dangling earring.
"Both of us know that a charm is not enough to inhibit my magic. I was gifted with not only my share, but my brother's too. Breaking this, stopping this all would be far too easy for me, but then I would never be able to plan my revenge against Zeus when I'm in close proximity to him. Also, shouldn't you be helping your Norse friends?" she asks.
"Isn't being with my fiancee the most important thing on my list?" he whispers in her ear. A smirk appears on his face and with a knowing glance, he walks away towards a hallway leading to the dorms.
With a sigh, Andromeda follows behind him, knowing that she really couldn't do otherwise.
