"Wait…," Jocelyn looks alarmed "No, no,no she wouldn't. Or maybe she would. To live forever for her children so she could be with Simon. Yes."

"Jocelyn, talking to your self isn't healthy." Jace tells her faking concern.

Jocelyn stands up "Watch my daughter," She says "If anything happens to her I will kill you in your sleep. I'll be back later."

Jocelyn leaves and Jace shouts "Sure, leave me with the coma patient."

…

"What do you know?" Maryse asks her.

"I know she made Simon bite her so she could live forever to be with her children." Jocelyn says.

"I walked in on them, while he was biting her. What should I do?" Maryse asks, running a hand through her hair.

"Well I've heard that if a shadow hunter doesn't drink vampire blood and is only bitten that they are pretty much half and half."

"Will she be able to stay in the institute?"

"I don't see why not," Jocelyn replies.

"Ok, so she will still be half shadow hunter? Runes will still work on her? The clave won't punish her?"

"Yes, she will still be half shadow hunter. Most runes will still work. The clave won't punish her unless she decides to become full vampire, which is done by actually drinking vampire blood." Jocelyn answers.

Tears run down Maryse's face. "Why would she do this?"

"It's going to be okay," Jocelyn says "but this isn't Simon's fault, she would have found another way."

Maryse nods "I know."

Alec who had been standing on the other side door crept away towards Clary's room.

"Jace have you heard about Isabelle?"

"What about her?" Jace says.

"Is she ok?" Alec says getting distracted pointing at Clary.

"Yeah." he answers.

"What about Izzy?"

They're interrupted by Clary, who gasps for breath before the machine she is hooked up to beeps. Jace and Alec are out of the room as fast as they can as they race to get Maryse and Jocelyn.

As soon as the find them they are back in Clary's room.

Clary was flat lining.

Jocelyn immediately starts CPR when Simon and Isabelle come into the room.

Everyone stares transfixed as they watch the scene in front of them unfold. Jocelyn gets Clary's heart going after three minutes.

But they don't know if it's going to stay that way.

A/N: We realize that it kind of jumps to her suddenly having a machine and needing CPR but let's just say it's always been there; we never said it wasn't.
