Jocelyn, Maryse, and Clary sat down in the library.

"Now," Jocelyn says looking at Maryse "why are you so angry?"

"AREYOUKIDDINGME!" Maryse shouted "why am I mad?"

"It's not her life," Isabelle said "yet, she has the audacity to tell me how to live it."

"She is your mother, dear." Maryse said.

"You know what? I know this how this will end up, you're friends you'll side with her!"

Isabelle runs out of the room and slams the door.

She slams into Alec as she runs down the hall.

Isabelle dries her tears and quickly glances at her brother.

"What's wrong, Iz?" Alec asked her.

Isabelle shook her head, and tried to run, but Alec caught her arm.

"What's wrong Isabelle?" he repeated "Did Simon hurt you?" he asked clenching a fist at his side.

"NO!" She shouted, starting to cry again.

"Then what Isabelle?" Alec said "I'm in no mood to play games with you."

"Is that so?" Isabelle asks "then go have a conversation with mom, she is just as impatient as you."

"What does mom have to do with this?" Alec said.

"I did a bad thing Alec, a really bad thing." Isabelle said.

"What did you do?" Alec asks.

Even though she knew she'd regret it, she told him the whole story.

Alec shook his head.

"Isabelle?" Alec said "What have you done?"

"I know I was wrong," Isabelle says "Please don't hate me."

"I could never hate you," Alec says. "I just don't always like you."

Isabelle's smirk looks out of place on her tear-stained face but it's there none the less, "Real nice Alec, real nice."

Alec smiles at her "Let me see if I can go calm mom down."

Alec walks down the hall giving her arm a light squeeze. When he is farther away from her and out of her arms reach he throws a smirk over his shoulder, "You know you two are more alike than you care to admit."

She scowls at his laughing voice as he turns into the library doors. She hates to admit that he is right though.

Isabelle paces the halls, deep in thought. This is why when she hears a noise behind her she goes immediately into defense mode. Judging the footsteps proximity to her she continues walking till they get close enough, spinning sharply on her heel and shoving them into the wall; her arm at his throat.

When she registers who it is she immediately release her death grip, "Simon. You scared me; you should know better than to sneak up behind a shadow hunter."

He shakes his head slightly dazed, "I just came to tell you the babies were awake."

"Were you crying, or something?" Simon asked looking at her red eyes.

"I don't cry." Isabelle said wiping her face.

"You were crying," Simon said "why?"

Isabelle tried to walk away but he caught her arm.

"Just leaving me alone right now okay? I'm going to check on the twins." Isabelle said.

"Just tell me why you're upset Isabelle." Simon said looking at his feet.

"Nothing turned out the way I thought it would. Everyone's mad at me, I'm mad at me. I wish I could…never mind." Isabelle said quietly.

"You wish you could what, Isabelle?" Simon asks slowly.

"Never mind, let's just go check on the twins, okay?" Isabelle said.

"You wish you hadn't of made me bite you?" Simon pieced together.

Isabelle starts to cry, and slightly nod.

"I thought you didn't cry?" he joked.

Isabelle shook her head, not finding his joke funny.

"On second thought," Isabelle said "I'm going to check on Clary, you get the twins."

"We are talking about this later," he calls to her as she walks away.

She waves a hand at him without looking back and answers, "Alright, later."

"Hey where have you been?"

Isabelle is startled by Clary's voice. She looks at her cautiously needing to decide how much to tell her if she'd just forget it after, "How long have you been awake?"

"For a bit," is the tired reply.

"I've been having a lovely conversation with our mothers," she chuckles lightly at her own joke. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm alright," Clary answers.

There is a large pause.

Clary looks at Isabelle seriously, "So you're a vampire now?"
