3 Levvie and Jemmie
Isabelle looked at her, "How did you know that?" She asked.
"The boys have big mouths." Clary smirked.
"Who specifically did you hear this from?" Isabelle asked angrily.
Clary just looked at her.
"Who," Isabelle near shouted "my brother or your boyfriend?"
Clary sighed, "Alec to Maryse."
Isabelle looked at the ground "does Jace know?"
Clary shrugged, "yeah, everyone knows."
Isabelle looked taken aback.
Clary stands up regretting what she had said, "no, no not like that."
"It's ok." Isabelle said quietly.
Clary hugged Isabelle, "Look, everyone knows you shouldn't have done it, but it's done, there's nothing you can do about it! Sure, you may be half vampire or whatever, but you are a shadowhunter like me, like Alec, and Jace. I know it seems everyone is angry now, but it'll get better. Soon they'll see why you did what you did. The clave won't be angry, that's what my mom said. Don't worry okay? You're smart Iz, it's going to be okay."
Isabelle was tearing up, "Thank you," she whispered.
"Don't cry." Clary said.
"When did you get so smart?" Isabelle asked.
Clary shrugged, "I've always been smart; I'm going to talk to Jace, see you soon."
"Wait, shouldn't you be lying down. You were unconscious for two days," Isabelle protests.
Clary glances back from the door, "Jace feels guilty, and I have to tell him it wasn't his fault."
"Alright but come back up in ten minutes to rest again or I'm coming to get you." Isabelle jokes seriously.
Clary rolled her eyes, "Sure thing Iz." She said sarcastically then she leaves the room closing the door behind her.
Isabelle sits down on Clary's bed and sighed closing her eyes for a few seconds.
"Knock, knock." A voice said quietly through the door.
She sighs again before answering, "Come in."
The door opens slowly revealing Simon, holding the twins Gabriel and Sophia.
Isabelle smiled and took Gabriel from Simon.
"Can I help you?" she said.
Simon shook his head, "Yes," he said. "I want to talk to you."
"What do you want to talk to me about?" Isabelle asked, playing the dumb card.
He gives her a pointed look before continuing, "You know what we need to talk about."
"Yes but wanting to talk about something and needing to talk about something are two separate things."
"Isabelle," he says, sighing.
She sighs as well and continues, "Alright, what do you want to talk about?"
"Are you regretting your choice," he asks.
She doesn't answer right away as she plays with the corner of Gabriel's blanket, "I honestly don't know, maybe it was a rash decision."
"I knew it was a bad idea," Simon said. "But did you listen to me?"
She throws him a narrowed look and says sternly, "Did you want to talk or not?"
"Yes, fine," he grins at her cheekily.
"I talked to Jocelyn," Simon said.
"What did she say?" Isabelle asks suspiciously.
"You didn't drink my blood," he says as if she should know what he means.
Isabelle looked at him blankly.
"To become a full vampire, one has to drink the blood of a vampire."
"Meaning I'm half and half." Isabelle said.
"Right," Simon said. "So you won't get in trouble from the clave."
Isabelle nods.
"The only down side to this, would be some runes won't work on you." Simon said.
Isabelle said nothing.
"That's basically it," Simon says. "Oh and there is a way to redo this."
Isabelle shook her head, "I don't need it, and I can live with some runes not working."
"So you're okay with everything now?" Simon says.
"Yeah, I'm good," Isabelle says "And thanks."
"No problem." Simon said.
Isabelle smiled at Simon and he wrapped on arm around her. The babies cooed in their arms and for a minute they seemed like a happy family.
