A/N: For those who read the last chapter before I corrected it I am so sorry about the double copy of it. My computer had crashed a couple of months back and I was able to somewhat get it back but it tends to do as it pleases at times and I had missed that. My deepest apologies for that.

Alex leaned against the door way and watched Olivia sleep. After their episode yesterday, she had called Olivia's behavioral therapist and Dr. Mathews while Olivia took a much needed nap in the chair. Once she had all the appointments made and dinner ready, she had woken the detective so she could eat and take her medicine.

Dinner was spent with Olivia sitting on the far end of the table, as far away from Alex as she could possibly get. Anytime Alex went to pass her or come near her Olivia would quickly get to her feet and get as far from Alex as possible. Alex, not wanting to put any extra undue stress on Olivia, finally relented and allowed her to keep the distance she wanted and felt she needed without saying anything else.

When Alex began to guide her to the bedroom, Olivia had, once again, began to fight her and try to leave, but Alex was just as determined for her to stay. She finally gave in when Alex reminded her that when she took her medicine for insomnia, she would be out and she would be in no danger.

"Olivia, Olivia," Alex whispered as she carefully sat next to her on the bed, "Olivia, you need to wake up."

Olivia opened her eyes and squinted against the light and smiled when her eyes connected with Alex's. She reached up and carefully caressed the left side of her face while she sat up slowly and brought their lips together. The kiss was gentle, loving, and caring and as quickly as it began, it was over with Olivia letting her go and moving away.

"Liv?" Alex asked when she found her voice again.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have," Olivia said as she swung her legs over the bed with her shoulders hunched forward.

"No, you should have," Alex said as she pulled Olivia back on the bed and quickly straddled her, despite her objections.

"Alex, I came so close to hurting you yesterday. I have no right to touch you and think of you in that way ever again. I don't deserve you."

"Let's get one thing straight right now, and that's I'm the one that doesn't deserve you, but that's neither here nor there at the moment. Cobb will be here in about an hour to have a session with you and then we are to meet Dr. Mathews at the hospital to have another FMRI done; he wants to make sure we haven't missed something."

"Like what?"

"He believes that your episode yesterday was from the extreme stress you have been under from going to court every day. Speaking of court every day, why didn't you tell me that Dr. Mathews advised against it?"

"You needed me there and I couldn't leave you alone," Olivia said as she flipped them over and then quickly stood up so she wouldn't scare Alex.

"So you risked your health, and possibly the progress you made in your recovery, for me?"

"Alex, you needed me. I thought I could handle it. I had been doing so well and didn't think it would affect me they way he said it would."

"Honey," Alex said as she stood and pulled Olivia to her, despite her objections, "The man does this for a living and is the best in the world. He knows a little about what you can and can't handle."

"But he doesn't know me, Alex," Olivia said as she began pacing the bedroom, "I can't tell you how many times I have gone days without sleep or sat through trials like I have this past week. If I can't handle this, how the hell can I handle my job, you mind telling me that?"

"Find something else to do, Olivia," Alex said.

"Like what? My whole life and career has focused on helping victims."

"Let's start with you can keep that up right here in this apartment with me. We both know that I still have a ways to go and you can help me with it every step of the way. Second, become some type of advocate at the women's center or a rape crisis counselor if you want to continue helping victims, but don't do it at the expense of your health."

"Honestly, Alex," Olivia said as she stopped pacing and turned to face her, "I have never once wanted another career other than what I am doing now. I don't know if I can handle doing anything else."

"You may not be as happy as you are being a detective, but I believe the fact that you will still be helping people will still make you happy. I say, let's cross that bridge when we arrive at it. For all we know, you may need more treatments and maybe a medicine regime."

"But, Alex, depending on what medicine they put me on, can stop my career."

"Jesus, Olivia, what the hell is more important, you or the job?"

"You are," Olivia answered with a smile on her face "Which is why yesterday can never happen again and will never happen again. I'm going to have Elliot come over and take your statement and Cragen will take me in."

"Take you in as in have you arrested?"

"Yes"

"For what?"

"Since you are an ADA, we can get the charges of battery on a government official and false imprisonment. I need you to tell Elliot that you feared for your life and safety and we should be able to get terroristic threats and acts against me as well. Those three charges should land me in jail with enough time to keep me away from you. At sentencing, make sure you have your attorney push for a TPO for when I get out. With my past history, the judge should issue it, no questions."

"Is that all?"

"Yeah."

"Good, because the specialist that will be testifying in your defense will tell the judge that you do not have the capability to control your anger due to an injury you received in the line of duty. They will also push that you did not know what you were doing and that I knew what I was getting into by allowing you to stay here. If you want to try this route to leave me, go ahead, but I suggest you do it to someone who doesn't know the law as well as I do and the ways around it."

"Alex…"

"Enough," Alex said, walking up to Olivia and wrapping her arms around her neck, "Yesterday is done and in the past. We're past it. The closest we are going to come to re-visiting it are your visits today and any time in the future that the doctors, not us, bring it up. You need to let it go and forgive yourself."

"Be honest with me. After what you've suffered, how can you just dismiss yesterday?"

"Because I know somewhere, somehow, deep inside you would have stopped before you struck me. I would probably have a new hole in the wall and who knows what else broken, but you would never put your hands on me, never."

"But it scared you enough to call Elliot?"

"I only called Elliot because you didn't calm down when I touched you or as I tried to talk to you. I don't have the physical strength to fight you blow for blow the way he does."

"Are you sure about that because that was one hell of a bitch slap I received?" Olivia said, laughing as she rubbed the side of her jaw.

"I'm sorry," Alex whispered as she leaned forward and kissed Olivia's jaw, "Forgive me?"

"Of course," Olivia almost moaned out at the feel of Alex's lips on her jaw.

"Good," Alex whispered as she stepped from Olivia's embrace when she heard someone knocking on the door, "That should be Cobb, so get ready and I will see you downstairs with some coffee and breakfast for both of you."

"Hey, Alex," Olivia said, stopping Alex from leaving her room. "I love you, no matter what, I love you."

"I love you, too, Olivia."
