Chapter 11: Finally, the fight begins.
PLEASE READ THE A/Ns. IT MIGHT CONTAIN IMPORTANT STUFF.
After rewriting the X'mas special I had in mind for 4 days straight, I banged the keyboard, and gave up. I just can't write it out properly. It just feels so weird and all. But in the end, I wrote out a short X'mas special about Birds. The old guy which had a lot of Hibirds. Him. I just feel like I owe him something. Anyway, check it out and leave a review, ne?
Now that I think about it, Ryohei hasn't done his Cambio Forma but... meh. Too late to edit. I think I will make you all want to throw tomatoes at me. The heroes will not necessarily get their win everytime. As for now... let's just say that the other-

Ahaha. I only revealed the plot to one of my close friends. Track her down and threathen her if you want to find out what happens; badly. But I plan to change some stuff from the original plot...

"What the..."
"You must be kidding me. Most will not be able to see through our combined illusions..." Mukuro stammered, for once. FOR ONCE.
Reina smiled sweetly. "How peculiar indeed," she whispered, so as not to let the guardians hear.
Basil frowned a little. Thou has figured it out. The main point of Rain Flames is «Tranquility», while the main point of Mist Flames is «Construction». So when Construction is faced with Tranquility, the construction will become weaker! In other words, when illusions are faced with Rain Flames, it will be easier to defy!
Chrome bit her lip, her single eye swirling in determination. "But still, that is not the limit of our power." she whispered, drawing back her trident, causing the power of the lava geysers to drop by half. Reina's mechanic glove then sprouted with rain flames, and she ran to every lava geyser to put her hand into it, causing all of it to disappear.
Mukuro was a little shocked by Chrome's actions at first, but his rape face was immediately back. "Kufufu... I see, my dear Chrome." The male Mist Guardian smiled in the slightest when his timid partner nodded at him.
"Chrome."
"Mukuro-sama!"
The two illusionists said their names at the same time, while holding out rings in the shape of an owl.
"CAMBIO FORMA!"
In the next moment, on Chrome's left earlobe and Mukuro's right earlobe, hung an earring of mini daggers. At least that's how they look like. While, their tridents became khakkharas (1), a circular design holding 6 mini dagger-like things.
Reina blinked. "Couple earrings?" she muttered, not even knowing she herself had said those words.
It was lucky no one heard her.
In the next instance, Chrome had spun her khakkhara again, her skirt flowing along, and she struck the end of it into the ground. Vines crawled out of the soil, slowly but steadily, and Reina was wrapped beneath it. However, the Rain Guardian's mechanic glove sprouted with Rain Flames again, and soon, the vines' grip was being torn apart. However, this time Mukuro struck the end of his khakkhara into the ground, which made lava seep up and slowly approach the little girl. But before the lava even touched her skin, Reina's mechanic glove bursted with Rain Flames, and she had struggled away from the tight hold of the vines. At that moment when she struggled free, a wooden hand caught her from behind, and held her in its grasp tight.
"Wha..." Reina was shocked for split second, but immediately went back to battle mode.
She whipped out a TP-82 (2), which surged with Rain Flames, squeezed it out from the grasps of the wooden hand and pointed it at Chrome.
"DIE!" she screamed, making a face which is impossible to look scary on a 10-year-old. But she had made it look scary on her.
She pulled the trigger.
BANG!
The next moment, Chrome had fallen backwards, her lung shot, and was lying on the ground.
From above; Kyoko was screaming, face drained of blood. "CHROME!"
However, Mukuro remained emotionless, and continued staring at the little girl.
Reina smirked. "Looks like you don't care about your girlfriend that much, huh?" she mocked the male illusionist.
Mukuro frowned a little. "Chrome's not my girlfriend." he started, then jabbed his thumb at Chrome. Gasps resounded from above.
Reina blinked.
Chrome was dusting her skirt, and was standing up. "I could restore my lung." she whispered. "But this bullet wound hurts a little."
The Rain Guardian of the Gole Fenice frowned. "It should not be possible for her to stand up again.." she mumbled, however this time, Mukuro heard it clearly.
"Oya oya? Didn't you know? Most of her organs are my illusions." he sniggered. Chrome nodded along, timidly.
Reina didn't waste a fraction of a second once Mukuro's concentration was lost.
She dashed to the male illusionist using the mechanic glove, but the napo managed to block it with his staff in time. Chrome slashed the back of the little girl with the tip of her khakkhara, causing her to grunt a little, but she swooped down from the trident's range, and punched Mukuro from behind. Mukuro fell onto Chrome, who, luckily, had already moved the khakkara from its original position. The female illusionist pointed her trident in front of her, and the two illusionists transported themselves away from the little girl who wanted to make use of the chance to attack. Mukuro, who had grasped the situation by then, spun his khakkhara once and struck it into the ground, and they were surrounded by black ball.
"Welcome to..." Mukuro extended his hands. "...my world." When his arms were spread, a mixture and swirl of red, black and orange surrounded the three. With another spin of the two tridents, many illusions of the two illusionists appeared. All the illusions and the real illusionists spun their khakkhara, and illusionary man eating bats appeared. Reina's eyes got disillusioned. She desperately powered up her glove till maximum output, but then the illusion of the two illusionists placed their tridents together, and Reina fell back, smoke coming out from her glove.
"No..." she muttered, feeling the bats bite her skin and flesh over and over again. "NOOOOOOOO!"
In the world of illusions, nothing is real. That's why, even when looking at the little girl's body get eaten to flesh, to meat, to bones, Mukuro and Chrome were not afraid. They knew it was an illusion, the pain the Rain Guardian of the Gole Fenice was experiencing, the bites on her body which was twisting in all grosteque manners.
"To make something out of nothing, and nothing out of something. That is the Mist." Mukuro said the lines that he had repeated many times in battles, the duty of the Mist.
The illusionary world faded, as Reina's half concious body dropped just behind them.
However...
Even in her half concious state, she could still bring up her gun, fill it with Rain Flames, and point it at Mukuro from behind.
I will not let one of you escape! She thought, the voice she had reverberated through her mind twisted.
BANG!
Mukuro fell, as if in slow motion, as the bullet pierced through his lung.
"MUKURO-SAMA!" Chrome screamed, but Mukuro stopped her.
"No, my dear C-Chrome... join Sawada Tsunayoshi before you get shot too..." Mukuro stammered, before falling unconcious along with Reina, who used up all her power just to let the Rain Flames flow out of the broken mechanic glove to the gun. His earring slowly faded off, only to have a restored owl ring on his finger again.
The Rain Flames is making the lung that was shot stop working...
Reina lost, along with Mukuro. However, overall, in the battle of the Rain of the Gole Fenice versus the Mist of the Vongola, the Vongola had won. As, Chrome had not fallen unconcious, and was only injured by a bullet wound.
Storm of the Vongola vs Sun of the Gole Fenice (Hirashi)
"I SHALL MAKE JUUDAIME PROUDDDD!" ...was Gokudera's starting war cry.
Hirashi, unlike Ryohei, simply kept silent and nodded at the war cry of the Tako-head.
Gokudera's Vongola Ring filled itself with Storm Flames, and he pushed it inside the hole of the box. The box opened, and the items inside wrapped itself around the hips of Gokudera, while one jumped onto his head. Buckle of the Storm, Version X! The silverete thought to himself, Uri meowing innocently on his head. Hirashi placed metallic knuckle-protectors on both sides of his hands.
"Lets do this." Both muttered at the same time.
Gokudera fingered a number of dynamites, and flinged them at the Sun Guardian of Vongola. Though Hirashi dodged them, the stick bombs rocketeered itself into the direction where he had dodged to.
"Huh...?" Hirashi was startled for a fraction of time, but was soon on the move again. From his back, the Sun Guardian whipped out a cat o' nine tails. (3)
Gokudera smirked a little. "I thought 'Destroying the misfortune that attacks the Famiglia with their own body, they become the Sun that brightly shines upon an area' is the duty of the Sun Guardian?" he questioned the usage of a weapon for a Sun Guardian. But, Hirashi didn't respond, only whipping the cat o' nine tails at Gokudera. One of its whips lashed the bomber's arm, and he staggered back in slight pain.
Hirashi chose that moment to answer Gokudera's question. "This weapon is part of my body. I had spent most of my child and teenage years beside it. So, I am the one destroying the misfortune that attacks the Famiglia, not a weapon."
Gokudera held up his Sun Ring, and it burst with Sun Flames. "Uri!"he called, and as if on cue, the cat begun licking the Flames. It twitched, and quickly jumped off Gokudera. It begun growing and growing, and just like the time it had fought Gamma, it looked like a leopard again. Uri leapt towards the Sun Guardian and wanted to scratch him, but the cat o' nine tails whacked it, and soon the cat was growling. When the Sun Guardian was concentrating on the cat cum leopard, Gokudera had thrown a few mini bombs at the feet of the Sun Guardian, and at the radius surrounding him. When it was about to explode, he made eye contact with Uri, gave a little nod of his head, and the cat cum leopard leapt back. As soon as its paws touched the grounds, the mini bombs erupted. Gokudera smirked, only to see a whip waving around through the smoke.
Hirashi explained, with an emotionless face. "My Sun's power is «Activation». I can make my nine rods flow into whatever direction I want. Because..."
"...because you can activate the living cells inside. Instead of knotted cotton cords, you had them made with vines. Using the «Activation» power of Sun Flames, you had its cells manage to stay alive, thus you are able to control the way the vines move using their cells." Gokudera completed his sentence.
Hirashi did a small 'oohh', and asked with curiosity; "How could you tell they are vines?"
Gokudera shrugged. "I just memorized their features, that's all. It just looks different from cotton cords." the silverete deadpanned.
Noting the fact that no one was spotting it, Uri crept behind the Sun Guardian, it's tail being a fuse. Gokudera smiled; internally.
Uri Bomb!
BOOM!
Smoke and dust surrounded Hirashi, while, now a cat, Uri hopped onto Gokudera's shoulders again, attempting to scratch him. But...
"Tricks like that don't work on me."
Gokudera scowled, as the cat o' nine tails whipped around in the smoke.
Charging at a unthinkable speed (or at least for a human), Hirashi raised the whip and attempted to smack Gokudera. Though the bomber dodged out of the way of one whip, the other 8 lunged for him, as Hirashi's knuckles were filled with Sun Flames, which spread to the whips. Gokudera lunged more sticks of dynamites at the user, only for the 9 vines to block the dynamites. Using this chance, Gokudera leapt away from the vine's range of attacks. Uri, however, stayed behind, and without Hirashi knowing, it headbutted itself into the Sun Guardians sensitive part. (You know where.)
"OOFF!" But, that was just the wrong move to make.
Leoriko smiled. "Sudden pain to Hirashi will lead to the attacker's misfortune." he murmured. In spite of this, Tsuna had caught it perfectly well.
Gokudera!
In his blind pain, he roughly swung his cat o' nine tails around, and blasted his Sun Flames to the maximum; causing the vines to grow rapidlly, and move as if it was being blown by a tornado. Gokudera frowned, as he opened another box. Sistema C.A.I! He thought to himself, as the vines kept hitting the Sistema C.A.I shields. However, as we had seen, they are circular in shape, and thus will have some gaps. The vines kept growing in size, and crept under the gaps, still moving rapidlly. Gokudera, however, noticed this far too late, and was hit again and again.
"GRAHHH!" The vines continuously hit Gokudera, and since they were covered with excessive Sun Flames, the blood cells would multiply rapidly as well, and... fainting due to blood loss was imminent. Uri meowed softly, eyes shining with regret.
At last, when Hirashi had recovered from the pain and stopped the flow of Sun Flames, Gokudera had fallen; and excess blood was still leaking out of his wounds. Uri ran over to its owner; worried, and pawed at his face while meowing softly.
In the battle of the Storm Guardian of Vongola versus the Sun Guardian of Gole Fenice, Hirashi had won.
Cloud of the Vongola vs Lightning of the Gole Fenice (Mitsu) [THE GUY WITH THE GREEN RING]
Hibari whipped out his tonfas. "Kamikorosu." (4)
Mitsu smirked, and reached into his jacket. His hand pulled out a...
"A plush toy?" Julie blinked.
"A PLUSH TOY?" Kaoru repeated, louder.
"Yes, a plush toy." Leoriko stroke his chin, as if there were a beard there, and hummed his words.
The audience, which were safely upstairs, stared flabbergasted at the Lightning Guardian of the Gole Fenice. Of course they would; a bulky figure holding an adorable pink puppy plush toy while being serious in a fight with the Vongola's strongest guardian. That ain't a scene you'll see often.
Hibari raised an eyebrow, but made no hestitation to release his killer aura. His tonfas blasted with Cloud Flames, as Hibird sat on a nearby tree, and Roll squirmed on the ground, as if it was not aware of the situation it was in.
"Let's get started." Hibari's deep voice reverberated through the wind his killer aura was creating.
Mitsu's green ring crackled with Lightning Flames, and it spreaded to the pink plush toy.
Tsuna looked between the battle of his Mists (who were still laughing) and the battle of his Cloud. The epic difference between these two atmospheres...
Hibari lunged at Mitsu, with Roll who had hopped onto his shoulder, while slashing up his right tonfa at the Lightning Guardian at the same time. The bulky figre dodged it, and pushed the plush toy into the chest of the skylark. Hibari quickly jumped backwards, while clutching his chest and grunting a little. But Roll, the snaeky little hedgehog, had managed to stab the back of Mitsu, by growing behind said person's back while Hibari was sparring with him. Just after feeling a slight piercing through his back, Mitsu had dashed to the Cloud Guardian, holding his plush toy as if it were a dagger. Of course, Hibari had raised his tonfas to attempt to slash the plush toy to bits of fluff. But, when his tonfa hit the pink puppy, it had dealt no damage, and Hibari's eye widenened a millimeter; the impact to the plush toy had felt like hitting metal.
Hibari looked from the plush toy to its owner, and his mouth curved into a smirk. "Wao."
Mitsu smiled. "Would you like me to explain to you why," he held up his plush toy. "It feels like metal?" (5) he ended calmly. However, the raven-haired disiplinary committee's president charged at the Lightning Guardian, not waiting for a reply.
The bulky figure's smiled lessened a little. "I'll be taking that as a no."
Hibari thrusted his tonfas, donned in purple flames, at Mitsu again. The Lightning Guardian, instead of dodging, held up his plush toy and was defended. After defending himself, he spun his plush toy so that it was facing downwards, and attempted to sidechop the skylark using his weapon. However, Hibari had Roll on his arm, and the porcupine joined with his weapon. Cambio Forma, Bracelet of the Clouds, Version X. His new school uniform flowed in the wind, and at the ends of his tonfas, a chain with spikes were released. The skylark used miniature version of Alaude's Handcuffs to trap the plush toy, while he used the end of his tonfas to scratch the body of the Lightning Guardian. However, when he did, the chain hit Mitsu's body and fell back to its original position.
Hibari grunted in irritation, as the Cloud Flames on his tonfas grew bigger.
Mitsu opened his jacket, only for many, many plush toys to drop out. He took out another ring, and placed it on the finger beside the one with the green ring. When he activated it, Sun Flames came out from the new ring, and rode along the Lightning Flames hardening the toys. When it reached the toys, all the toys stood up and walked around the Lightning Guardian (6). The Play of the Puppeteer. Mitsu smirked. The toys dived at Hibari, who simply used mini hedgehogs to counter them all. Then again, the toys would stand up, and charge at the Cloud Guardian again. When the toys were attacking at a speed where the hedgehogs had to cover Hibari completely, Mitsu smirked, and charged with the pink puppy plush toy; with excess Lightning Flames. He struck it at the hedgehogs; and the Lightning Flames spread to the purple balls of spikes. Of course, the hedgehogs squealed and finally gave way, and the bulky Guardian raised his plushie; only to find no one there but a hole.
"What?" Momentarily shocked, he got scratched deeply on the face with a small ball of spikes.
Turning behind, he saw Hibari spinning the chains of his tonfas. "For electrofying my pets... I will bite you to death!" he slashed at the Lightning Guardian.
Mitsu got hit repeatedly; each scratch from the ball of spikes led him to shrieks of agony.
As he fell, Hibari kept his tonfas, while Roll transformed into a ring again.
As he was walking away, a plush toy grabbed his leg. Hibari looked down; and more and more plush toys gathered.
Many beeps sounded.
Hibari's eyes widened again.
BOOM!
"HIBARI-SAN!" Tsuna screamed, though his voice was a lot deeper in Hyper Dying Will mode.
Smoke covered the area, as the burnt plush toys all fell one by one.
Reborn, again from a distance, placed his binoculars on his lap. "Hibari isn't going to be defeated from something like this." the baby hitman mused.
Indeed, as the smoke cleared, a figure stumbled out; burnt but concious.
"Herbivores." Hibari deadpanned, as he staggered out of the smoke.
(1) A khakkhara is a Buddhist ringed staff used primarily in prayer or as a weapon, that originates from India. The jingling of the staff's rings is used to warn small sentient beings (i.e. insects) to move from the carrier's path and avoid being accidentally trodden on. In ancient times it was used also to scare away dangerous animals. Ringing also is used to alert the faithful that there is a monk within earshot in need of alms. In the Sarvāstivāda vinaya the khakkhara is called the "sounding staff" because of the tinkling sound the rings make
(2) The TP-82 pistol was a triple-barreled Soviet firearm that was carried by cosmonauts on space missions.
(3) The cat o' nine tails, commonly shortened to the cat, is a type of multi-tailed whip that originated as an implement for severe physical punishment, notably in the Royal Navy and Army of the United Kingdom, and also as a judicial punishment in Britain and some other countries. The cat is made up of nine knotted thongs of cotton chords, about 2 1⁄2 feet or 76 cm long, designed to lacerate the skin and cause intense pain.
(4) "I'll bite you to death" in Japanese.
(5) The main component of Lightning Flames is «Solidification». That's why Mitsu is able to harden the plush toys.
(6) The fluff inside the plush toys are made of cotton. As you know, cotton comes from plants, so Mitsu can use Sun Flames to expand and move the cells inside the cotton as he wishes. Also; he has Sun Flames, as people have more than one type of Flame, like Gokudera.
A/N: It's been one week after I typed my X'mas special, so I'm not considered late, but still sorry for delaying Protecting, Vice Versa.
