It was now a whole month later and things looked to be brightening up for everyone. Casey had recently been enrolled in a nearby private school paid for completely by her father; she was a lot happier at home, everything seemed for once in Casey's life to be going smoothly but there was one topic she had refused to acknowledge until now and that was the possibility of pregnancy.

It was school lunch time and instead of traipsing the streets with her newly made friends Casey was sat outside the nurses office waiting on her appointment hoping to get some kind of help and guidance on the whole situation….. I mean she couldn't go to her mum could she? The time soon came and the appointment went pretty smoothly with no awkwardness between the nurse and pupil. All Casey had been given were a few pamphlets about how to cope and the thing she wanted most…. a test. She knew she had to do it sooner or later and it was probably best now while the school was fairly empty. So off she went to the nearest toilet.

She got in and found it much to her relief to be completely empty. Quickly dashing into the nearest cubicle she prised out the little white stick and carefully read the instructions over and over again until she knew exactly what to do.

Soon enough the test was done now all she had to do was wait the three agonising minutes until the result was shown. The result which could change her life completely either for the better or worse, and what if it was positive she had no idea how she would tell people especially her mum. She would go ballistic….. She knew how much her mum hated the idea off her getting up to anything involving a boy never mind having sex and getting pregnant at the still awfully young age of 14.

Meanwhile in the factory instead of working Michelle was secretly planning a night in with her daughter. She needed to talk to her as soon as possible in her books, ground rules needed to be set about what she could and shouldn't do with boys at this age. It had been bothering her for a while now and after much discussion with Steve she had come to the conclusion that the only way to let her daughter learn of her concerns was to sit down and have a proper conversation with her. Steve had agreed to stay out this house for the night, she had bought new movies, a load of crap food and was going to order a pizza, she had even declined the very tempting offer of a night out from Carla who was also a little aware of Michelle worries.

Back at school Casey was looking down at the test her eyes watering up…. Positive it couldn't be it had to be faulty there was no way she would allow herself to be pregnant not at 14 anyway it had to be a mistake didn't it? Then her mind went back to what the nurse said about pregnancy test nearly always being accurate. Looking down at it again she let the tears fall, almost automatically placing her hands on her belly confirming she did want this baby. After sitting the toilet a few more minutes quietly sniffing away she eventually decided the one person she needed and wanted most was her mum, all the previous worries having drained from her head.

Back in the factory Michelle had agreed to pop to the shop for emergency supplies of coffee, completely unaware the within the next few minutes her daughter was going to turn up in floods of tears. Pulling on her jacket and grabbing her handbag she ventured out of the factory into the cold outside taking a brisk walk to the shop. Several minutes later and Carla spun her chair around upon hearing little sniffles and the dragging of feet assuming it wasn't Michelle unless something had gone awfully wrong on her trip to the shop she stood up to peer round the factory floor only to get shock when she noticed the miniature version of Michelle A.K.A her niece. Crouching down to Casey's height she cupped the younger child's face wiping away the tears with the pad of her thumb. "W-whhee-rrees mum?" She said sniffling looking around the office as she heard the familiar sound of her mums heels clip-clopping along the ground. "Casey"!? Her mum practically screamed upon realising who was stood opposite Carla in a right state. Casey turned round and immediately flung her arms around her mother as soon as she was close enough to gradually letting the sobs let louder and more obvious."Baby what's wrong eh?" Michelle asked looking sympathetically at her daughter when there was no response she gathered nothing was going to be said right now so looked up to Carla who nodded agreeing to let Michelle have the afternoon off.
