Heyo people... after a long term hiatus. Er... hi? Wassup? Everythin' cool?
Who am I kidding? I'm an awful person.
I will try my best to update this because I love my shit.
I promise some action in the next chapter! It's good to be back though.
Chapter – 6
I hummed under my breath happily.
Vacation~!
Who doesn't looks forward to vacations? I pumped my fists excitedly as a wave of enthusiasm rushed through me, an almost tangible flow of imagination running in my head of at least 100 ways I would make this vacation leave a perpetual impression on me.
… Okay, a bit hyperbolic, but still!
I shifted the bag in my hand, numb from the weight. I was induced by excitement, and it made me forget everything. It was my first vacation with my new family after all!
Rumbling, excited footsteps reached my ears, making me happily turn around.
"I will carry this for Onee-chan!" Wataru bolstered down excitedly from the stairs. He was a little bundle of energy even in the mornings, his childishness gleaming in his carefree expression. I ruffled his hair in a bout of affection, making him close his eyes, his lips curling into a grin.
I grinned back at my little brother.
"It's alright Wataru-chan, I can do it." I assured him sweetly.
Wataru shook his head and pumped his fists, looking at me determinedly, "I'm a man! Makkun says that we should always help girls in trouble!" He started to pull the bag from my hand.
I smiled and sweatdropped. Sure, I was happy that Masaomi inculcated good habits in Wataru, but…
"It's totally alright!" I protested, but Wataru pouted and tried to grab it again.
A hand shot in the mid of us, grabbing the bag from my hand. I looked up slowly, my eyes widening at the sight. It was Masaomi.
He wore a fitting grey shirt with some casual blue jeans. It was a bit different from what I was used to… different from the loose, comfortable shirts he wore, or the white coat he was usually seen in. But the shirt he wore now hugged his body. His body was in good shape, certain soft curves enunciating his forearms and the nerves travelled down which I never noticed before… Well, someone totally looked in the vacation mood. Yeah… yeah. Is it just me, or the temperature rose up a few degrees?
I shook my head, realizing I missed most of what Masaomi said.
" — so apologize." Masaomi reprimanded gently. Wataru pouted and looked down.
"I'm sorry… I- I just wanted to help." He looked on the floor guiltily, wringing his hands.
Aw. My heart.
I bent down on my knees. He looked up at me with those soulful eyes. He was too adorable for a ten year old kid!
I kissed him on the cheek. Both Wataru and Masaomi looked at me, surprised.
I grinned. "That's a thank you for trying to help me. But I didn't want to bother Wataru with such a thing. Still, thank you!" I ruffled his hair and stood up. Wataru grinned widely, showing me one of his missing teeth which looked adorable on him. He waved at the twins and made a run towards them. Masaomi gave a soft sigh and gave me a thankful look.
I shrugged heartily.
"I'm sorry, some of our brothers wouldn't be able to join us. They're busy with their work." Masaomi's gave me an apologetic smile.
"It's alright!" I shook my head, a bit sad that they were unable to come. "We always have a second time, a third time, and a… ah." I blushed, to Masaomi's growing amusement. Apparently, I was competing Wataru in the level of childishness if he used the same expression he often uses on his youngest brother.
Masaomi's eyes softened as if he registered something.
"You will be a good mother one day."
My eyes widened, taken aback by the randomness of the statement. Masaomi flushed red when he realized after a fraction of second what he just said. I saved him the awkwardness. "Thanks." I said, pulling on the hem of my shirt.
Masaomi patted my head and walked ahead to the door.
"There's our adorable little sister~" Tsubaki placed an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him, but cried in pain when Azusa pinched his hand away.
Azusa smiled down on me after sparing a glare at his complaining twin, "Excited?"
I grinned. "Yes!"
Azusa and Tsubaki laughed.
After I got out of my initial shock – they owned a private jet for Chrissake! – I tried my best not to feel out of place as my new brothers led me inside, helping with my baggage. Ukyo led me to my seat, which was in front of Yuusuke, who was teetering on his seat that pulled me under an impression that he wanted to use the restroom.
I pulled out a magazine, fighting off the sleep which my excitement stole away last night. Tsubaki's silver hair shone from the window he was leaning against, dozing off, his script slipping from his hands. Azusa caught it quickly, shutting it close and placing it on the table in front of him.
My lips quirked at the display, I shifted my eyes before Azusa caught me to Yuusuke's forlorn expression as he gazed out of the window, giving out a tiny sigh. I leaned my head back, deciding to catch on some of that sleep to save some energy. Have to enjoy afterall…
I breathed in deeply the salty scent of the vast endlessness that was the sea, the gritty creamy layers of sand being washed away and palm trees breezily responding to the soft winds that whispered them their deepest secrets. It was beautiful. I was almost tempted to dart out my tongue, just out of morbid curiosity. Could I taste the freshness I could smell?
"So pretty," I said softly. Words were indescribable for this indulging scenery.
Juli hardened, eyeing all the brothers behind me, "All the more reason to protect you from the good-for-nothing wolves!"
"We're on a vacation," I chided Juli softly. "Just enjoy!"
"What's nee-san muttering to herself about?" A soft — not to mention mocking — chuckle resonated in my ear. I was sure he had a motor in his mouth. No one was that capable of being that snide – or maybe that's one of his special talents, apart from singing.
"Oh nothing." I responded as nonchalantly as I could, "Just admiring the beauty of the place."
"Taken away by petty things," Fuuto drawled. "Never thought our big sis to be that… simple."
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." I responded, not a least bit offended, or at least not trying to be. I closed my eyes, listening to the mysterious sounds of the sea. Ah, the power of ignorance.
"Wha-" Before Fuuto could respond with one of his well-elicited sarcasms he holds in his endless pot of imagination, Iori interrupted him.
"Leonardo Da Vinci."
I opened my eyes and nodded at him. "Yeah."
"Vinci would be proud of someone." He said teasingly. Fuuto scoffed irritably and walked away. I looked at his back and then smirked at Iori.
"Thanks."
He shook his head. "Believe me when I say my pleasure."
I blinked as I saw two figures running towards the sea with the speed that made my and Iori's hair ruffle wildly.
"To-the-BEACH!" Tsubaki and Wataru yelled and ran to the shore excitedly, splashing water on each other.
"Wataru!" Masaomi huffed and ran after him, "At least change your clothes!"
I grinned at them when Tsubaki mistakenly splashed water on Masaomi, who looked frozen with disbelief for full 5 seconds. I laughed softly when I saw Tsubaki scared for the first time as Masaomi smiled a short smile which was borderline smirk and partly evil (never thought he had it in him!), and dunked him in the water. Wataru ran towards us, insisting me to come with him.
"C'mon Wataru," Azusa said, preventing him from making my clothes wet. "Let's go get changed."
He flushed excitedly. "Yes!"
I sat on the corner of the bed, taking in my room for what would have been the surprising five minutes of my life. I was slowly getting used to it. Maybe not.
But this room was rad. As hell.
Blue covers caressed my skin like silk, soft light enunciating every corner of my room. It was comfortable and totally had the taste of eloquence and slight taste of what I could imagine the essence of Miwa-san's touch. It was beautiful and it gave me the prettiest scenery of the sea.
"I'll go get changed." I said to Juli, who nodded, still in a dozy mood and basked in the slight breeze from the open window.
I got inside the bathroom, pulling along my two piece bathsuit. It was a pretty and decent white swim suit. I huffed, adjusting my breasts. It kind of made them look bigger than they were. But it was definitely less revealing than the ones in the store. I shuddered at the prospect of trying on the thong one (just a couple of string holding your buttcheeks) and playing with my new brothers.
… God, that sounded damn wrong in my head.
I put it on quickly, applying sunblock all over my skin and walked outside to the large mirror that stood proudly in the corner of the room.
"Juli," I walked to the mirror, twirling around the mirror, clutching my curly hair nervously into a messy bun… but it showed a gash scar in my back which I got a few years back. It was not that big and covered my waist to the mid of back diagonally with a reddish ridged line. I flushed at the prospect of having it uncovered. It probably looked disgusting, judging from Juli's open mouth shocked expression.
"O-okay, does it look that hor-"
"WOLVES WILL EAT YOU!" Juli hollered wildly, making me jump a foot in the air, "They will definitely attack you! You shouldn't go outside like that! I will-"
"Okay, okay, calm the hell down Juli!" I pleaded to the testosterone spiked squirrel, who looked ready to murder. Wait, do squirrels even have testosterone? No, getting distracted! "Er, firstly, I don't have any other bathing suit. Secondly, I grew out of my old one and the sales lady suggested — more like begged — to buy me this one. And thirdly, I wanna go. Pleaseeee?"
Juli puffed out steam from his nose, telling me he was not pleased. At all. I tried my ultimate weapon — my pout.
"Okay, fine." Juli relented with a sigh. I clapped excitedly, pulling my small duffel bag along with me. "But I will protect you with all I've got!"
"As long as I have fun." I winked, pulling on a shirt, picking up Juli and turning for the door.
I reached the beach with renewed spirit, as it faded and diminished with the speed of a bullet train as I shuffled on my feet nervously. No, no way, not a time to be nervous. I pulled off my shirt, stuffed it into the duffel bag and walked towards the sculpture competition that was going on between Tsubaki, Wataru and Louis.
"Amazing." I peeked over Tsubaki's shoulder curiously, making three focused heads turn up.
"Onee-chan looks pretty!" Wataru excitedly patted his mound of sand, standing up and pulling me along with him towards his work. I chuckled as I tried to figure out what exactly he was making, while it looked a mix between a frog and rabbit. How he achieved that I had no clue.
Tsubaki grinned at me, patting a wet lump which hadn't discerned a shape yet. "Our lil sis is so cute that she makes me wanna cuddle her~"
Juli snarled at him, but I held him in place.
Louis looked up at me with a sunny smile, "You do look cute Chii-chan."
"Thanks." I blushed at the compliments, placing Juli down as he sunbathed comfortably beside Louis' sculpture. I looked back at Azusa, who was lying down under the umbrella, close to the cottage that was nearby and looked private and cozy. I waved at the trio, promising at their insistence that I would come back to check their finished work and walked towards the idle figure.
"W-What're you wearing!?"
A tall figure stood in front of me. Muscular, wiry body caught my eyes, slowly drifting up to the angry set of onyx eyes.
"Subaru-san." I breathed in acknowledgement. Why did he look so angry…?
He breathed through his nose and clenched his fist, an action I classified as trying to calm down. "We're h-here. A-And you… why you… ugh, forget it!"
He shed off his yellow parka and wrapped it around me.
"Wear it." It sounded like an order.
Also, not nice.
I frowned, starting to feel less pleasant. "You can be a bit nice about it."
Subaru's ears flushed pink and he breathed in deeply, burning holes in my shoulder with his insistent stare, refusing to meet my eyes.
"Keep it, please." He muttered it as nicely as he could, and ran ahead, joining Yuusuke for a swimming competition. The parka swallowed my whole body. I pushed off the loose hanging sleeves and brushed off my face in a frustrated motion.
What. The. Hell. Was that.
I scowled at him. Sure we had one stupid, dumb accident; he didn't have to be that cold. I planned to soak in as much sunlight as I could and tan my arse, and I would do it as much as I want! I didn't notice where I was walking ahead to, still glaring at the lean figure of Subaru as I literally rammed into someone.
"Careful, imouto-chan," Kaname's silky voice wrapped around me, making me shiver. I shook off his grip from my waist as quickly as I could, making a respectable distance between us.
Kaname's I-know-I'm-tempting-as-hell smirk slowly dissolved to an expression of distaste as he looked down on my clothing, specifically my unzipped parka.
"Why are you wearing that ridiculous clothing? It's coming in the way."
My eyes widened and slowly I realized exactly why Subaru had given me this parka. I got to cover myself from this casanova brother of mine. I will thank him later. I pulled the ends of the parka closer to cover my exposed torso as Kaname eyed it, internally crying for being unable to peacefully soak in the sun.
"Subaru-san gave it to me."
Kaname clicked his tongue, "It needs to be taken off."
Before I could protest, Kaname started to pull it off of me, trying to shrug it down my shoulders, even though I resisted. His grip was gentle, but firm, not allowing me to escape. Well, shite. Where was Juli when I really needed him? Ah, but then I was the one who left him with Louis… great-
"What are you two doing?" Both of us looked down as Wataru looked up at us with his big, round curious eyes. I shrugged off Kaname's grip in panic. I spared Kaname a glare, who gave me an amused glance, not at all deterred.
"Er, nothing, Wataru-chan."
Wataru tilted his head in a fashion that made me wanted to cry in delight and just pinch his cheeks. "Then why is Kana-Kana taking off onee-chan's clothes?"
I frowned in worry, looking at Kaname, "Yes, it is bad to take off clothes. So don't mind us because er, eh, K-Kaname-san was just checking the quality of the parka! Yeah, the parka! It's beautiful isn't it… the parka…" I looked at Kaname helplessly, who seemed to enjoy my position tremendously. He finally bent down towards Wataru.
"Imouto-chan's right," Kaname said seriously. "It's bad to take off clothes, especially during daytime, but its fine to take them for 'special night time', alone with two lov-emphhh."
Wataru blinked at my suddenness, my hands on Kaname's mouth. I smiled at him, while plotting ways to drown Kaname in the sea. My eye twitched when I felt him smile and slyly lick my palm. I barely suppressed a growl. What was he, five?!
"Why don't you go play with Tsubaki-san? There is a pestering bug on Kaname-san's mouth."
Wataru nodded enthusiastically and ran off towards his competitors.
"Why're you so sadistic?" I groaned, letting him go.
Kaname gave me a smoldering look and chuckled huskily, "After you holding me like that, I might think I'm an M~"
"Oh goddamit. Bloody hell." I said with an ever-rising blush, happy to escape his clutches.
