Leo jumped off of the roof and onto the fire-escape. He spied April who had her back pressed against the building. Her head was buried in her hands and knees. Leonardo jumped to the ground; he heard the soft thump as his two brothers followed after him. He quickly looked around to make sure there weren't any other humans before approaching April.
April visibly jumped when Leo placed a hand on her shoulder. She relaxed when she saw it was him. "You ok?" He asked.
"Their gone." She mumbled, not making eye contact.
"Who's gone?" Leo asked.
Mikey finished his search around the alley way and came up next to Leo; still looking around. "Where's Raph?" He asked.
"They took him." April gulped and placed her face back into her arms.
Leo's breathe hitched, "Took who...?" He asked, even though he already knew.
April's shoulders began to shake. "I'm sorry Leo!" She sobbed, "I'm so sorry! I tried to stop them, but I couldn't! They took him! Raphael's gone!"
Leo felt Donnie and Mikey tense up next to him. His own heart stopped for a second as questions began to bang around his mind. He immediately filled with worry, but it was quickly replaced with anger.
"Who took them? Where'd they go?!" Donnie was obviously angry too as he began to ask question. He tried to hide his fury from April, but did a pretty awful job.
April shook her head. "A bunch of men in suits. They seemed to know what they were doing. They know about you guys." She finally looked up and met eye contact with Leo, but soon took it away as she looked the other way down the street. "They speed off that way." She gestured.
Mikey glanced down the street and then back at everyone else. His face grew confused on why no one was moving. "Well," he jumped up and climbed the first level of the fire escape before looking over his shoulder at everyone else. "Let's go save our brother."
Bruno's eye twitched as he brought the squirming turtle closer to him; hating kids more and more with each passing second.
Bruno had brown flipped back hair, green electric eyes, and a couple of fading freckles. He wore wrecked up jeans and a black V-neck T-shirt with a brown puffy, yet light jacket.
Fighting the urge to chuck the screaming child in his lap and focusing on not losing his hearing, Bruno glanced over at Jason, the slighter bigger then him, dirty blonde, brown eyed, and light skinned driver. He placed a hand over the yelling toddler's mouth to try and silence it, only to have the screams get louder and the thrashing stronger. "Do we have that sedative?" He asked over the yells.
"I think we dropped it when getting that," Jason replied, gesturing towards Raphael with his chin.
Bruno growled and slumped down in the passenger seat. "That was stupid," He grumbled.
Jason's eyes widened and he nodded in agreement as he leaned forward in his seat, gripping the steering wheel tighter as he tried to focus on the road.
Something wet smothered against Bruno's hand making him gasp in surprise and jerk his hand away. "You!" Bruno wiped his wet hand on his pants, "You did not! You… You did not just LICK me?! He just licked me!" Bruno turned his hand and glared at the driver who was trying not to laugh before turning back to the triumphant turtle and thwacking him on the head.
"Ouch!" Raph cried, bringing his hands up to his head protectively. A couple tears pushed themselves past Raph's clenched tight eyes. "I want my brothers…" He murmured with a small sob.
Bruno rolled his eyes. "Well that sucks." He had been given direct orders to take the young turtle to the purchaser and then get on with life, nothing about brothers, or family, or any other freaking thing. In and out. Simply instructions. "They're not coming."
The red masked turtle turned his head to look up at Bruno, big wet tears slowly dripping down his face. "T-they are." He whimpered slightly.
"Nope." Bruno turned and stared out the window. "They forgot about you. No more baby." He gave a small smile.
Raph furrowed his eye ridges, "They still have Leo though," He clenched his fists and glared at Bruno.
"They actually like him though, that's why." Bruno replied smugly. He leaned his head against the cold window, hoping to stop his throbbing headache. He smiled at the turtle's silence. His smile dropped and he groaned when Raphael started to kick and scream again.
"You're a liar! A stupid bully!" He shouted, thrashing as much as he could.
"Would you stop that!" Bruno shot as he tried to restrain the small turtle. He began looking around the floor for some type of bag or sack of some sort. His eyes fell onto Jason who was bobbing his head up and down to the music that was coming from his ear-phones.
Bruno glared at him. "When are we going to get there?!" He shouted, hoping to get through the turtles screams and penetrate the music barrier and get his question into Jason's thick-skull.
It didn't work.
Bruno groaned and looked as if he would have rather been digging his own grave then be with the small pest on his lap. He had wished he had been as smart as Jason and brought some sort of force-field against the blood curdling screams.
Bruno tried to focus on anything but the yelling toddler in his lap. He cringed and gripped the child tighter when he started to scream actual words. "Donnie! Mikey!" He screamed, his voice growing hoarse from the crying.
"They can't hear you!" Bruno shot; glaring daggers at him.
Raphael turned and on Bruno's lap and gave the man a stubborn glare. He clenched his eyes shut and made fists, taking a deep breath before: "LEO! DADDY!" He screamed as loud as he could, making even Jason flinch.
Bruno groaned; imagining a bullet striking him at any moment. This was going to be one hecka long trip.
