Naruto the secret soul reaper
Well i'm back, i'll continue this for a few more chapters then i'll write something else. By that i mean another hiatus. I would never discontinue one of my stories, my ideas are very important to me. If i did discontinue one of my stories, i would abandon what i believe. On the last chapter i promised that the next would be where the story really took off. Here it is, i thank you for waiting.
Chapter 12
A minefield of poison.
Flashback
During the meno's attack on the village, naruto was doing everything he could, he threw everything at the menos, but it was simply too enourmous for any of the kido to have effect.
"What do i do. There's nothing that can scatch it, and i can't use kurohitsugi here or everyone will be on to the hollows. Maybe if i fight at close range".
Naruto ran up to the menos grande, ready to risk being devoured, he jumped up to the menos's mouth and started his attack.
"Bakudo #62, hyapporankan".
The blue needles shot at the hollow's face were succesful in damaging it's mask, they simply didn't have the power to beat the menos. Naruto jumped into the air, above the hollow's head, ready to mix kido with wind rasengan. Tenten, who had had enough of staying on the sidelines, fired her energy kunai at the cracks in the hollow's mask.
"RAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOH".
The menos screamed at the irritation of the cracks. A piece of the menos's mask fell down and landed on naruto's chest. The fragment then dissolved into naruto's stomach before our hero could get it off. Now we travel inside naruto's body, shisui's eye , given to him by itachi via one of his crows, was currently sitting inside the seal. The mask fragment soon found itself inside the sewer, and was now next to the crow, the mask fragment melted into liquid and attacked the crow.
The crow was enveloped in the white liquid, it squaked as the substance entered inside the crow's mouth. Soon the crow was submerged into the liquid, except for shisui's eye. The sharingan activated and created a vortex, as the eye was seemingly copying the fragment, before long a vortex merged the two together, creating a puffy white slime. It left the seal room and went off into the sewer. Kurama had seen the entire thing.
"What is going on, what happened to the crow?, i have no idea where it went, i hope master isn't affected by whatever that was".
The slime found it's way inside naruto's blood stream, and absorbed some of his DNA. After absorbing enough, it situated itself inside naruto's soul. The slime then began to expand, as well as twist and bend, similar to play dough, eventually arms and legs stetched out, as well as a head with white spiky hair. The figure then gained a face with closed eye's and black lips. It's eyes shot open, they were black with gold pupils. It then grinned and started to laugh maniacally.
End of flashback
Naruto awoke from his slumber, though instead of lying on the red sewer floor, he was laying on the bare floor of the blue void
"What?, this is where i found tozumasren, how did i end up here?.
"Hahahahahahahaha, you really are oblivious aren't you, and you call yourself a ninja".
"Who's there?, show yourself". said naruto getting up and looking around.
"I'm right in front of you".
The figure was now in front of naruto. Naruto was surprisingly unphazed, as if he were merely looking into a mirror.
"Who are you?".
"Who am i ?, i have...no name, i am simply the hollow that lives within you". said the naruto look alive in a voice that sounded like the echo of a voice speaking into a fan.
"What?'.
"I am the purest form of all your natural instincts, you can refer to me as whatever you wish".
Naruto examined the being, it was wearing a simple white t-shirt; white pants, white hair in the same style as naruto's, as well as white-greyish skin.
"What do you want?, and why did you call me here?".
"I moved in here a little while ago, though i'd introduce myself, and i also wanted to let you know, i'll be taking over your body".
"My body?".
"That's right, i am a hollow after all, you might as well surrender now, i won't stop until i completely take over, right now no one is in charge, but that's going to change soon".
"You'll never take control of me".
"We'll see about that, i've already occupied a good portion of you, i'll start to take over you when you least expect it".
"Why would you tell me that"
"I know there's nothing you can do to stop me, and i can't wait to see the look on your face when i happens, well now that you're aware of my existance i'll be on my way now, later".
With that naruto awoke in the underground of the soul society, finding himself completely restored, naruto grabbed tozumasen and strapped it to his waist. Naruto started to walk down the waterway to where he had entered it last night, quickly finding the spot, naruto opened the large tile and climbed out. When our hero got out of the waterway, he was surprised to see he was not in the previous spot, but was now in a pathway between buildings.
"I must have gone further down than needed, oh well might as well see where i am".
Naruto jumped onto one of the buildings and looked around, finding that it was now the middle of the night, and the full moon was out; which aided him in his search. In the distance, naruto saw the senzaikyu tower where tenten was being held captive.
"Hmm, just like the fairytale, there's probably a dragon waiting for me at the tower as i go fourth to rescue the princess, yeah right".
Naruto leaped down from the building he was on top of, his action and the shadow he had due to the moonlight made him have the appearance of an ancient ninja from the age of feudalism.
A fair distance from the senzaikyu, squad twelve captain, mayuri kurotsuchi; was out for a stroll, the mad scientist knew that strange things occured at night, things he could hopfully capture and study. His black and white face makeup, appeared to be irritated by the night air.
"Such a wonderful night, i have a feeling that a magnificent specimen will show itself to me, things have been rather slow lately, what with all this peace. We're overdue for some interesting occurences, wouldn't you agree Nemu?".
Mayuri turned his head to his left to see his lieutenant. Such was obvious from the badge she wore in her shoulder. She had navy blue eyes, same color har, and a short shihakusho.
"Yes, master mayuri, there will indeed be something interesting tonight. Perhaps you will find something worthy of testing out your body liquification" answered his lieutenant in a monotone.
Naruto was jumping from root to roof in a rapid pace, hoping to get to the senzaikyu as fast as possible under the cover of night. Our hero stopped on one of the roof to see his progress, he looked at the horizon to see the white tower very close by. With determination, naruto sprinted towards the tower as fast as he could go, only to end up slipping off a rooftop and land in the path for walking. The lone invader looked around and saw that the alley he was in was larger than the others.
There was a building right in front of him, it was in the corner of the alley, in cas secluded in a fence and was not lined up with the other buildings, making the path bigger. Sensing two powerful spiritual pressures approaching, naruto looked ahead, there in the distance was mayuri kurotsuchi and his lieutenant.
"So, you are the ryoka that's been causing all this ruckus eh? hehehe to thing that a single soul reaper imposter could take on and defeat two lieutenats, a fifth seat, and a third seat. You might very well be the perfect subject for my next set of experiments. What do you say?. I'll disect you and study your abilities to find out how you got sou reaper powers, then i shall rebuild you, as the soul society's greatest weapon".
"As if i'll ever willingly submit to you, i have better things to do than become your lab rat, i'm on a very important mission, and i would rather complete it without any fighting, so if you could stand aside, i'd appreciate it".
"Tsk,tsk,tsk and to think i was going to make you the greatest weapon in the world, i would have even offered you my greatest conditions. Oh well i suppose i shall simply half to kill you and disect you later, such a pity i would have enjoyed your screams of agony".
With that, the mad scientist drew his zanpakuto while his lieutenant stepped aside. Mayuri's zanpakuto was a sword with a pink hilt, short blade and a tsuba wrapped in cloth.
"Claw out, ashisogi jizo".
The sword had changed completely, it was now a trident with three blades that were unstraight; it had turned pure gold, and the tsuba was now a baby's head with it's arms over it's head.
"Shall we do this, i can't wait to make you my weapon".
"Attack tozumasen".
Both zanpakuto clashed, drawing sparks, both trying to overwhelm the other with unique tactics. Mayuri's sword technique was as mad as he was, if not more so. Mayuri intentiomally leaped in closer, tozumsen managed to cut mayuri's forearm. Mayuri's face appeared more calculation than in pain, as if the mad scientist was trying to calabrate tozumasen's power.
Mayuri thrust towards naruto with the golden tridant, only for naruto to parie by flicking away the short right blade, after which naruto attempted to deliver a vertilal slash to mayuri, who fenced it away with the larger middle sword.
"Quite impressive, it's no wonder the lower seats haven't been able to defeat you, but as you'll soon find out, i'm very different than the others you've faced until now".
That was when mayuri dug through his coat and took out a few capusoles, naruto, having already guessed what the were, prepared paper bombs. Mayuri threw the capusoles in his hands and a purple mist psread all around, naruto set off the paper bombs, the explosion blew away the poison.
"Remarkable, you're even more unique than i thought, examining you will truely be the opprotunity of a life time".
"Why don't you just shut up, you mad man, get out of my way, i have a missionto rescue tenten".
"I couldn't care less about your mission, as soon as my experiments are done, i'll allow you to rescue that girl".
"Not gonna happen".
Mayuri then used flash step and tried to get naruto off guard, only for naruto to do the same. The two clashed once more, equalling power once again both were pushed back. Mayuri then reached into his ear, out he pulled what appeared to be a hook. The mad scientist then began to whirl the hook around and dashed towards naruto.
Our hero then attacked with tozumasen to cut the hook. Naruto was not using his zanpakuto's abilities so he would have enough energy to save tenten. Mayuri then managed to hook the chord onto tozumasen and used the curve of tozumasen to drag naruto in. Naruto had tried to resist but surprisingly mayuri was reeling him in, due to him being a captain, mayuri had a large amount of spirit energy which increased strength appearantly.
When mayuri finally brought naruto in, the mad scientist stabbed naruto in the chest with ashisogi jizo's middle sword. Naruto squirmed at the pain, and all of a sudden the jinchuriki found himself unable to move.
"Impressive isn't it, my ashisogi jizo paralyzes whomever it pierces, but the best part is it leaves the pain receptors of the brain in tact, so you aren't spared from the agony". Just as the mad scientist was about to claim victory, naruto turned into smoke.
"WHAT, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS".
"Another one of my techniques" said naruto standing in front of mayuri a few feet away.
"One of you're techniques?, you just keep getting more and more interesting by the minute".
"Thank you for the explanation of your zanpakuto's powers".
"You filthy wrech, it seems i shall need more power if i am to deal with you, bankai".
Mayuri brough his sword to his right sode and turned it sideways. Ashisogi jizo opened it's mouth and the mad scientist was enveloped in a sunset aura, mist was coming out of the tsuba's mouth. Then a light purple mist surrounded the area, when it cleared there was a large figure with caterpillar legs; large baby head with teeth, red cape; and a silver halo.
"Behold, konjigi ashisogi jizo".
"W-What is this".
"This is the final form of my zanpakuto, you see each zanpakuto has a second level of release, known as bankai".
"So that's a bankai". said naruto remembering what tozumasen had told him about bankai.
"So now what do i do?".
"This is the end of the line for you"
Mayuri, seemingly giving konjigi ashisogi jizo some sort of telepathic command, brought his hand down and the giant figure opened it's mouth and the very same light purple gas spewed out. The entire area was submerged into the obvious poison.
"Bakudo #73 tozansho".
The blue upsidedown pyramid protected naruto from the vicious gas. When it cleared naruto was standing his ground undeturred, Mayuri was baffled, to say the least. Which was all the more promising to a scientist.
"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU".
"I am a soul reaper"
That being said, naruto channeled all his power into tozumasen. Naruto was glowing blue, while tozumasen was glowing emerald green. Our hero jumped into the air and positioned his arms in a nine o'clock position on a clock. Using every bit of power he had, naruto proclaimed the attack.
"Time strike".
A emerald power slash with a golden hue traveled at nearly warp speed towards the giant figure. The attack hit the giant dead center, or in this case dead forehead. Time strike managed to cut mayuri's bankai in half, it was at first not visible throught the large gold and emerald light show that surrounded the area. As soon as the light died down to reveal the dark blue night sky, it could be seen that time strike had bifurcated konjigi ashisogi jizo, as well has mayuri himself.
"D-Damn you, you ryoka".
Mayuri then reached into his coat and pulled out a knife, he then slit his own throat with it. After of which, his body turned into a green jello-like substance. Mayuri then seaped through the sewer nearby via a drain.
"You've won this time, but make no mistake, the next time we meet, i will capture you".
"Hado #31 shakaho".
Naruto's kido was ineffective.
"Don't bother, in this form while i cannot fight, i can also not be harmed in any way" mayuri's voice echoed through the sewer.
"First, the akatsuki, and now a sadistic alchemist wants to capture me, i must be a lunatic magnet, well at any rate, that time strike wiped me out, i'll have to try again tomorrow".
Naruto found a nearby storage house and settled in for the night, he couldn't go back to the sewer, that's where mayuri escaped to, he would probably be spotted and reported. Our hero wan't going to bed just yet though. Naruto put the now sealed tozumasen on his lap and meditated.
Naruto was now in his inner world, the jinchuriki was immediately face-toface with his zanpakuto. The tanned man had his muscular arms crossed.
"Tozumasen, i'm glad to see you again, listen i was wondering-".
"You want to attempt to achieve bankai, am i correct?".
"Y-Yes, will you show me how?".
"I'm afraid you are not yet ready, you need more expirience, as well as to reach the maximum power of your shikai, if you cannot fully use your shikai, you cannot achieve the next level".
"I understand".
Naruto left his inner world and opened his eyes to see himself back in the storage department. The lone invader then sheathed tozumasen and put it behind him as he went to sleep. As he slept he tried to think of a way to reach the full power of his shikai.
Green notes from the author
Well it took a while but here it is, i think i made good on my promise that this would be where the story really took off. Like i said before i'll continue this for a few more chapters then i'll put t on another hiatus. You know i have another story i wrote, that's why i put this on hold feel free to check it out. I have to say i'm a little dissapointed that the month of movies is over, each one of the movies were good, especially akira. I have something to ask you guys, do you know what classes are taught generally at a japanese university or college, i plan on moving to japan after i get my homeschool diploma, come to think of it do you even get a diploma for homeschool?, well if you guys could give some information on that, you know if colleges over there give good education.
