Now onto the longest one shot I have ever written!
Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure I'm a girl, so it's probably safe to say I am not Rick Riordan yeah? All rights to him, I only own my OCs.
Some years later:
"Mommy do I have to?" Lena pulled on the front of Annabeth's shirt questioning her decision.
"Do you want to leave us so soon?" Annabeth said, picking up her daughter.
"Well…" Lena started pulling on one of her blonde curls before looking up at her mom with sea green eyes, "I want to go to camp too! James gets to go every summer and on all the school holidays but I have stay home and it isn't fair!"
"Oh shut it squirt, you're just jealous!" James taunted his younger sister ruffling the six-year-old's curls before running a hand through his dark hair.
"Don't call me squirt! And I'm not jealous!" Lena jumped out of her mom's arms to smack her brother's side. Well, thigh anyway considering that was all she could reach.
"We both know you're just going to miss me." He laughed, picking up the angry girl.
"PUT ME DOWN DOOFUS!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Yo Perce!" Someone yelled from farther down the hill.
"Jason, hey buddy!" Percy yelled meeting the blonde man half way before proceeding back up the hill to the entrance of Camp Half Blood. "Ready for your first year Quinn?"
"As I'll ever be…" The young blonde muttered, her kaleidoscope eyes looking down at the ground.
"Oh, come on Quinn! You've been excited all year because you finally get to come with me and now you're chickening?" Her older brother, Jared, laughed before walking over to James. The two 14 year olds laughed before running towards the cabins, not bothering to say goodbye, their parents would follow them.
"I am not a chicken." The ten-year-old muttered, grabbing her mother's hand.
"Course not. Don't you remember when you're brother left for the first time? Now he was scared!" Piper laughed warmly swinging her daughter's hand back and forth between them.
"OH YEAH! Hey Jareddd!" Quinn laughed and then called to her brother, chasing down the hill towards camp after them.
"Come on, let's go find Leo and Frank and them, they have to be around here somewhere." Jason said, grabbing his and Piper's youngest, a chubby toddler before leading Annabeth, Percy, Lena and Piper down after their kids.
"So, just gonna be me and you this summer then, huh, Frank?" They heard a familiar voice say from the pavilion.
"AUNTIE HAZEL!" Lena called running towards Hazel's voice.
"Hey Uncle Frank. LILY!" They heard her say as they rounded the corner into the pavilion.
"Hey Lena." Frank and Hazel's ten year old daughter laughed her brown eyes sparkling as her baby 'cousin' attacked her in a hug.
"Hey Haze, Frank." Percy laughed pulling Hazel in for a hug as Jason and Frank bro hugged (A/N: What do you call it when guys do that? The thing where they hug but also high five and do weird "bro handshakes"? Or am I the only person who sees that?)
"Have you all seen Leo? Or Katie? Travis? Reyna? Cause when I don't know where Leo AND Travis are it makes me nervous." Frank laughed, making the rounds and hugging all his friends while Lily introduced Lena to some of the other camp kids.
"We saw Connor and Lou Ellen with the girls a couple minutes before Jason and Piper go here. Their getting the twins settled in so at least one of three is accounted for." Annabeth laughed.
"Make that two of three!" Travis called, surprising Annabeth with a hug from behind while Katie walked in with their three year old daughter on her hip.
"The boys said something about seeing Quinn and ran off. I swear I think Danny's got a bit of a crush on your daughter Jason." Katie laughed and Jason muttered something under his breath that made Piper laugh.
"Come on lets go find Leo, gods know what he's already burned down." Piper giggled.
"Don't worry I've got a bit more control over him than that." Reyna laughed as she entered the pavilion with Leo and their ten-year old son Marc.
"You better go find Quinn then son, sounds like the Stoll twins have a bit of a head start." Leo laughed as his son began to smoke, fire dancing across his hands.
"Dad." He moaned while Jason threw his head onto Piper's shoulder.
"My daughter! Why does it always have to be MY daughter?"
"Come on guys lets head over to the fire pit. Percy isn't it your turn to make the speech this year?"
"Nope Leo, it's yours." Percy responded with an evil grin
"No, I thought it was Piper's year?" A confused Annabeth said glancing towards Piper.
"Nah I did it last year I'm pretty sure it's…" She was cut off by a gulp and an interruption from Jason.
"It's mine." Jason said gritting his teeth. He may have not lost his battle skills but Quinn's words in the car were echoing around his head.
"My daddy's making the speech this year right, dad? So he's gonna tell it sooo cool and everyone's going to be all like, Quinn you're the granddaughter of Zeus and your dad saved the world and he tells the story all cool. You're the best! I'm gonna have it made. Cause Daddy won't mess up, right daddy?" The girl said with a toothy smile, looking at him through the mirror.
"Course Quinn. Don't worry"
"Don't panic Jason, you've only done this, oh ten times before." Percy said clapping him on the back.
"But its Quinn's first year. I've never given the speech to her future friends!"
"I gave it Lily's first year remember? It's not as bad as it seems and the kids will love ya Jason. We're the seven." Frank reminded him and Jason smiled.
"Well except Travis."
"Why is it, every time we hang out someone has to mention the fact that I wasn't part of the seven? I mean come on guys, neither was Katie or Reyna but nobody ever mentions that!" Travis yelled and the following laughter made him grab his daughter from Katie's arms before stomping ahead of the others.
"You love daddy dontcha, Angel?" The three year old giggled and kissed his cheek as they walked in. All the adults went to sit, Annabeth and Percy grabbing Lena before sitting with James in the Poseidon section. Frank and Hazel followed Lily towards the Hades section where Hazel greeted her brother with open arms and Nico sent Jason a thumbs up, waving to Percy. Thalia was hovering behind Nico their youngest son in a seat behind her. Leo and Reyna were in the Hephaestus cabins area with Marc. Katie and Travis were just sitting down in the Demeter cabin section with the twins, Danny and Tyler, along with Angel. Piper took Skye from his arms before following a bouncing Quinn to the Zeus section where Jared was waiting for them. And Jason walked to the center of the amphitheater. Silence immediately filled the space around him as all of the new campers, old campers and Chiron looked to him to begin.
"Twenty-two years ago, a battle began. Percy Jackson came to camp and the minute he did it was year after year of fighting and loss for Camp Half Blood.
"Gradually more joined camp and more battles were won. It was discovered though that this wasn't the only camp. That there were more than one type of demigod.
"That's why exactly fifteen years ago, after the seven had returned, winning the battle against Gaea, Camp Half Blood and New Rome were combined, here in New York. It was a combination of both that allowed for all of us to be here. Whether it's you are a son of Zeus or Jupiter, you are accepted. You are protected.
"And every year from now until forever, it will stay that way. Because of the sacrifices that were made so long ago, and the bond that was created when Percy Jackson stepped foot into this camp, fell in love with Annabeth Chase, despite their parents hatred. Because a Roman demigod fell in love with a Greek. That is why, this camp stands here, named New Camp Half Blood. That's why it will always stand here." Jason finished, standing in front of every member of the Camp, past, present, and in a few cases, future.
The cheers rang around the amphitheater as he walked over to the Zeus section and sat down next to Quinn.
"That, was…" She trailed off, looking up at her dad. "Amazing daddy, the best one yet!"
"Thanks kid." He said giving her a hug, as Chiron gave his speech that began the summer session.
