Ē and C were hidden in one of the Med-nin's most powerful Genjutsu at the bottom of a small hill as he desperately tried to stop the blood that was pouring out of the Raikage's arm. "How bad is it C?"

"Raikage-sama, your radial artery has been ripped open if I don't stop the bleeding you'll die"

"Then do it already!"

"It's not that simple. Your chakra network is still dealing with your Lightning cloak's electrical feedback; the feedback is making healing you difficult I …Shit!" C shouted shifting his position in time to take a water bullet to the back that was meant for Ē. Two grinning Kisames walked out of the wood line as another one partially rose out of the hill above them.

"Humph, Raikage-sama, since this ain't nothin' personal I'll kill you quick but for what he did to Samehada blondie's death is gonna take hours" the hillside Kisame promised, his grin morphing into a deep scowl. The two wood line Kisames ran at Ē and C with murderous intent in their eyes.

"Storm Release: Laser Circus!"

Beams of light pierced through the two Kisames reducing them to large puddles of water and then angled upwards nearly reaching the hillside Kisame before he resubmerged beneath the earth.

"Ah, so there's a new player out there huh? Why don't you show yourself? I thought you Kumo-nin were black not yellow" Kisame taunted his voice echoing throughout the area.

"I swear I'm tired of that crack" Darui thought to himself as he evaluated his situation. "With the Raikage injured and C unconscious, flushing him out and attacking him directly would be suicide. I could stay hidden, attacking at a distance only when he goes after the Raikage and C. That way I may be able to buy enough time for help to arrive but it's not guaranteed that those Oto-nin haven't killed everybody already. Since Yugito and Itachi aren't here it's safe to assume that they're fighting somewhere else in which case Itachi will be here shortly…Shit! Suicide it is then"

Gathering his storm chakra Darui formed a targeting halo around his hands before bending over and digging his fingertips into the earth. "Storm Release: Baseflow!" Darui fired off a powerful beam of energy deep into the earth which in turn splintered off, using the moisture and water pockets to splinter off even more, quickly spreading throughout the area causing beams to randomly come shooting back out the ground. It didn't take long for the beams to force Kisame to jump out the earth, unfortunately for Darui the missing-nin jumped out of the ground right behind him and sunk a kunai right into the back of his skull.

Gizzimp GizzzZAP! BOOM! "Aaahh!" Kisame yelled as Darui's body turned bluish white blasting him with high powered lightning chakra. Although he remained standing Kisame's body shook violently as the electric current raged through him. With his upward peripheral vision the shark like ninja saw a man sized part of the tree a few yards to his right shimmer away revealing the real Darui who had lightning chakra arcing off his cleaver like sword. Forcing his arms to move Kisame was able to grab a now normal sized Samehada from its place on his back and block the Kumo-nin's powerful downward sword strike.

As soon as his feet touched the ground Darui spun around to his right while squatting, slashing at Kisame's lower legs forcing him to jump back to avoid the electric blade. Knowing that it wouldn't be long before his S-rank opponent's body fought off the stunning effect of his Lightning Release: Shadow Clone and his speed drastically increased, Darui pressed his attack. He was on Kisame milliseconds before the man landed attacking in a side slash that was promptly blocked with Samahada's tip pointing towards the ground. Thinking outside the box Darui channeled chakra into his sandals to keep Samahada's scales from cutting through them and jumped on the great sword while simultaneously grabbing Kisame's sword hand and pulling the larger ninja towards him into a viscous head-butt.

"Fuck!" Kisame loudly roared before lifting his sword and its rider up into the air. He was planning on smashing the clever ninja into the ground but ended up pulverizing a small log instead. Feeling an incoming attack from behind he spun around parrying a high sword thrust but was unable to stop the lightning chakra coated shuriken (that Darui threw with his left hand) to the chest which would have torn through a lesser shinobi. "Staying on the offensive, attacking at different levels, throwing in some grappling, a head-butt and a substitution while acknowledging that I'm probably faster than him and keeping some of his lightning chakra in my system to slow me down; this kid's a true ninja swordman. I should give him the respect he deserves" Kisame thought with a grin while making one handed hand seals and then spitting three fist sized purple water bullets in quick succession.

Darui ducked under the first one aimed at his head but was forced jump back and to use his sword flat to disperse the faster second one that was aimed at his chest. The spray from that one landed on his hands stinging and distracting him, allowing the final and fastest of water bullets to slam into his stomach with enough force to lift him off his feet and send him flying back 7 yards.

"Your good kid but I just hit you with a variant of the Puffer Fish's neurotoxin that'll just get worse the more you move around. I know you want to protect your kage but if you stay down you might survive long enough to get to that new antitoxin Yugakure cooked up before they put their shinobi out to pasture" Kisame said, a part of him not wanting to cut down such a promising fellow swordsman who looked to be nearly ten years his junior.

Darui folded up his sword doubting he'd be able to hold it properly due to his hands already starting to tingle and becoming stiff. Standing up he took off his flak vest and shirt to keep any more of the toxin from seeping into his skin before forming the ram seal. "It must have been too long since you were a loyal shinobi of the Mist, you don't even seem to realize how ridiculous you just sounded. Lightning Release: Black Panther!"

Kisame simply shook his head and made two hand seals as the lightning construct sprinted towards him. "Water Release: Water Encampment Wall!" Kisame spat out a large amount of water from his mouth creating a powerful aquatic barrier that the lightning panther slammed into, slowing it down but not stopping it. The panther started to short circuit as it waded through the chakra heavy water but as if it was actually alive it seemed reaffirm its motivation, dig its claws into the earth and start running again. Seeing this Kisame made a few more hand seals and placed his palms in the water spawning a water shark twice the size of the panther that swam into the lightning construct dispersing it once and for all. Letting the defensive jutsu end Kisame saw Darui charging him from his side and turned to finish him once and for all when he has hit by something incredibly fast and even more painful.

"Lariat!" Ē yelled knocking Kisame back 15 feet into a set of large, red chakra hands. Looking down Kisame saw the Uzumaki brat shrouded in two tails worth of his burdens chakra swing a short sword at him with his real right arm sending a red, crescent shaped wave of demonic wind chakra right at him. "Can't move, looks like this is how I bite it" Kisame thought to himself before a blue, toddler sized fireball slammed into the wind chakra right before it reached him causing him to be engulfed in flames.

Kisame's burning body was dropped to the ground and as soon as he landed the flames surrounding him were put out by his partner via a low grade water jutsu. "Aaaagh! this fucking hurts! Itachi you asshole, you set me on fire!" Kisame roared, laid out on the ground.

"I'm sure this is your fault, you probably got caught up like you normally do and played with the Kumo-nin instead of killing them from the start" Itachi said while dropping Yugito who was slung over his shoulder and picking up his scorched teammate.

"It wasn't my fault! The assholes made Samehada sick and then that kid with the sword, who I'm pretty sure is in the in between, showed up and I got just a little distracted testing his skills. Then the Raikage got some kind of second wind and somehow snuck me and then the Kyuubi brat showed up from out of no-fucking-ware and…" Kisame started to explain but was cut off by Itachi.

"My little brother's chakra is present in your system; it would seem you were ensnared in a Genin's Genjutsu. Samehada's incapacitation is no excuse, after you heal from your injuries I'll personally see to your anti-illusion training" Itachi admonished getting a frown from Kisame.

Looking around with his normal Sharingan Itachi couldn't seem to find his brother, the Uzumaki boy or the Raikage anywhere but could sense that they were still reasonably close by. "You've grown skilled in the illusionary arts little brother. I can't wait to see just how much you've grown but I have other matters to attend to. Because I love you I'll leave you with this warning" Itachi said as he and Kisame started to turn black and crows started to rise out of their bodies.

"At the end of this war a god of peace will force the world to mature and unify under a red devil of conquest. In order to prepare for this new dawn I'll be coming for you brother because no matter how hard you fight it, it's your destiny to help me achieve mine" Itachi finished as the crows fully broke apart and flew off.

After a few seconds had passed an area of the wood line shimmered and an unconscious Raikage and C along with Sasuke and Naruto came into view. "A god of peace and a devil of conquest… I think your brother has lost it, well, more than he already had anyways" Naruto said as he created Shadow Clones to pick up the Raikage and his Guards.

"What about the other Kumo-nin?" Sasuke asked despite being more concerned about his brother's idea of his 'destiny' than anything else.

"The Raikage has lost too much blood we need to get him to the hospital in Yugakure now. I'll leave a Shadow clone to stay behind and tell the surviving Kumo-nin and Ami where we're going"

Five hours later, Yugakure Hospital:

Naruto sat in the Raikage's room with Raina, a rookie Chunin Kumo kunoichi, as the village leader slept somewhat uneasily having just come out of surgery. An hour and a half ago Ami had shown up at the hospital and told Naruto and Sasuke that she had actually managed to catch up with Kimimaro and saw the teen holding Yamato's head through the scope of her injection shot sniper but when the resting Oto-nin looked up directly at her and hit her with a large dose of killing intent she high tailed it out of there. Upon hearing that Yamato was dead Sasuke (who was now wearing his headband tilted over his right eye since his new dojutsu apparently couldn't see through inorganic material without chakra running through it) promptly stood up and told Naruto and Raina that he was going to check on the condtion of the Raikage's guards and surprisingly Ami went with him.

They came back 20 mins later informing them that the kunoichi Yugito Nii was suffering from a severe case of chakra exhaustion and a fractured left arm. The medic-nin C had a fractured back and a concussion but the worst off was Darui who wasn't responding as well as the Doctors would have hoped to the antitoxin and had slipped into a coma a half hour prior. After telling Naruto what happened Sasuke went to stand guard outside the door while Ami went to the hospital's roof to watch from there.

"Ugh what happened? Where am I?" Ē groggily asked, drawing Naruto's attention away from his Fūinjutsu textbook.

"You're in Yugakure Hospital Raikage-sama, you've only been out of surgery for 40 mins, the doctor said that it'd be a couple of hours before you woke up" Raina informed him.

"Yeah? Well there's a reason this village is giving up its shinobi status, they're all a bunch of fuck ups" the Raikage informed her while leaning on his good arm, pushing himself into a sitting position and noticing Naruto sitting in the corner of the room.

"Hand me that cup of water and give me a Sitrep" the village leader ordered his subordinate after sparing Naruto a respectful nod.

Raina walked over towards the bed and handed the Raikage a cup of ice water before moving the bedside table over to the man's good side.

"Of the 43 assigned Kumo-nin 27 are dead, 10 are critically wounded and are currently in surgery or in the hospital's ICU, 3 ninja are MIA and 3 sustained only minor wounds and are currently pulling security. They…" Naruto's attention was drawn to his radio as it cracked to life.

"Senpai, two squads of Konoha shinobi led by Kurenai Yūhi have just passed though the village's southern gate. Over" Ami informed.

"Alright, I want the Kumo-nin with you to hold their positions on the roof while you come down and post up outside the Raikage's room. I'll take Sasuke with me to greet Yūhi-san. Over"

Naruto and Sasuke met up with the Konoha-nin a little less than a quarter mile away from the Hospital in Yukgure's commercial district. "Hello Yūhi-san, are we glad to see you…" Naruto started but was cut off by Kurenai.

"Uzumaki-san where is the real Uchiha?" Kurenai asked feeling the barely noticeable effect of a Genjutsu when she focused her senses on the Sasuke in front of her.

The looks of confusion on the accompanying Konoha-nin gave way to understanding and then confusion again as a new Sasuke shimmered into existence behind them. "I used both eyes, couldn't find any trace of Genjutsu of Ninjutsu being used" Sasuke informed Naruto while stopping the flow of chakra to his two doujutsu.

"Dude did a Genin just sneak up on us?" Kotetsu whispered to Izumo in disbelief.

"Yup but don't feel too bad, Kakashi's kids aren't…normal."

Kurenai was thinking along the same lines as she assessed the two members of Team 7. "The henged shadow clone with the Genjutsu placed on it was both a test to see if I was really me and a distraction for the real Uchiha to sneak up on us and give us a once over with his bloodline. But for a Genin to sneak up on myself, 3 Special Jonin, 19 Chunin, plus Kiba and Akamaru's noses, what kind of training did Kakashi put his Genin through?"

"Yūhi-san, where would you like to be briefed? The Raikage is in an irritable mood so bringing you up to speed in his hospital room and repeating things he's already heard would probably be a bad idea" Naruto informed.

"I suppose the hospital roof then and call me Kurenai-taicho"

As the group started to leave, Sasuke (who had moved to stand beside Naruto) spoke up. "Taicho, Yamato-sensei died fighting against the Oto-nin and one of them escaped with his head, permission to look for the rest of his remains?" Sasuke asked.

"Granted, Shino, Kiba, Hinata go with him"

As Team 8 stepped forward Sasuke wasn't surprised to see a Chunin vest on the Aburame since the kid had seemed pretty squared away during the Wave mission. After Naruto created a shadow clone to lead the way to the area were Yamato's fight took place the four teenage ninja left in a sprint.

It was only five minutes before the female Hyuga started to show signs of fatigue and five more before the Inuzuka did to. Realizing that they had reached the edge of the wood line that bordered the field where he and Ami battled Jirōbō Sasuke called the group to a stop.

"What's up Sasuke?" Kiba asked while secretly glad for the breather.

"Can you guys use your abilities to scout out the area?" Sasuke asked.

"Rodger" Shino said as he raised his arms and released some of his insects into the area.

"Byakugan" Hinata called out immediately noticing four chakra networks beyond the foliage. "There are four shinobi moving towards some of the corpses. They don't appear to have noticed us yet." Hinata informed the group.

"Hunter-nin?" Shino proposed as the wind shifted in the leaf group's direction.

"Yeah, they smell like snakes and carrion and poision. It's probably safe to bet that they're Oto hunter-nin" Kiba put in.

"Should we just wait them out?" Hinata asked.

"I vote no. I killed one of those Oto-nin myself and his curse mark made him incredibly strong. We should retrieve his corpse and deliver it to the R&D department for study" Sasuke said wanting to get Jirōbō's body to Kichida. "I could probably use a Genjutsu to sneak up on the Oto-nin and take out a couple of them myself."

"Yes, I heard from my cousin Ayano that you are quite skilled with using the Shunshin in conjunction with Genjutsu in battle is that true? " Shino asked.

"Hai" Sasuke answered.

"Then this is what we're going to do"

"Copper don't destroy that one Orochimaru-sama will probably want it intact for post mortem study" Boa ordered his subordinate before moving to find a corpse of his own.

Copper nodded and pulled a stasis scroll from his hip pouch to seal away the large Orange haired body in front of him when he felt something behind him. Wiping out a kunai, he spun around to face his mystery opponent but didn't see anyone. He did however feel two sharp pains in his wrist that forced him to drop his kunai.

"Two palms" he heard a quiet voice whisper.

Two more pains, one in each leg, which hampered his mobility and nearly dropped him to his knees were followed by the whisper of "Four palms".

Four more pains, one in his voice box that kept him from crying out, one in each arm which made them feel stiff and heavy and one in his lung that made breathing difficult. "Eight palms"

A series of pains in his chest dropped him to his knees and it took a colossal amount of will power for him to turn his head and see all of his teammates working on corpses, oblivious of his attack. "Sixteen palms"

As he realized that he was done for he dug deep and released the biggest chakra pulse he could, alerting his comrades to the danger they were in. It was the last thing he ever did as the words "Eight Trigrams: Thirty-Two Palms" were whispered and he felt even more of the sharp pains before everything went dark.

Boa felt the pulse of chakra erupt from copper's area and realized that a third chakra was present in his System "Release!" he yelled freeing himself just in time to see two grey, horizontally spinning twisters heading right at Viper.

"Fang over Fang!"

In an impressive display of speed Viper was able to dodge the first twister by jumping over it and the second one by performing a seal-less substitution with a fallen branch 25 feet away from his previous location. He was about to form some hand seals when a glowing, chakra enhanced, kunai pierced through his chest. As he fell to the ground the space behind him shimmered and a boy in a blue shirt with a violet colored glowing right eye appeared and started going through hand seals of his own.

Thinking quickly Boa lifted his mask with one hand and grabbed his Cerberus flask out of his pouch with the other in an attempt to power up before the next Illusion could be cast. However before he could bring the flask to his mouth two branches wrapped around his arms, keeping him from moving.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!" He heard shouted as a huge ball of fire came hurtling at him.

Unable to bring his hands together he bit into his lower lip as hard as he could, releasing himself from the Genjutsu. Surprisingly the fireball disappeared along with the branches binding him but as soon as he touched the lip of the flask to his mouth he felt something tear though his flak vest, rip into his back nicking his spine and lift him off his feet.

"Tunneling Fang!" Kiba yelled in triumph having finally nailed one of the Oto-nin. Keeping the technique going he kept pushing and slashing until his victim broke through a tree and fell dead on the forest floor. Standing up Kiba shook his head to clear some slight dizziness before scooping up Akamaru and looking at the final Oto-nin who was currently losing a Taijutsu battle against Hinata and Sasuke. The Oto-kunoichi was fast (like Jonin level fast) and was good with the whole 'stick and move' concept but she was slowing rapidly thanks to Shino's insects draining her chakra. Kiba was tempted to jump in and help his teammates but his experiences in the war had humbled him forcing him to think more before acting. "I'd probably just get in the way, to many cooks in the kitchen and what not".

The Oto-kunoichi lasted another 20 seconds before Hinata landed two Jūken strikes to her lungs and a glancing blow to her left knee before getting kicked 10 feet away for her trouble. Sasuke took advantage of the woman's attention being focused on Hinata and shunshined away. The Kunoichi looked around for him for a few seconds before deciding to cut her losses and powered up a shunshin of her own but before she could take a full step she was hit with a flaming arrow that removed her head from her shoulders. The body actually disappeared in a shunshin without its head something that Kiba didn't even think was possible.

"We totally kicked ass especially you and Sasuke, Hinata!" Kiba yelled running over to said Kunoichi and helping her up.

"T-ttthank you Kiba-kun" Hinata said blushing, rubbing her chest and stomach, the compliment giving her a confidence boost.

"Ugh, n-no prob" Kiba stuttered as Hinata inadvertently drew his attention to her breasts, her rubbing pulling her baggy jacket tighter over them.

"Hinata are you injured?" Shino asked walking over to them.

"Nothing's broken I'll be fine"

"Good" Sasuke said from behind her startling the girl and eliciting an "Epp!" that caused him to let loose a slight grin and her blush to deepen.

"Nice plan Shino, gotta love a well-planned ambush" Sasuke complimented, surprising all three members of Team 8.

"Arigato Sasuke-sa…, Sasuke" Shino said nodding at the Uchiha. Sasuke nodded back and walked over to Jirōbō's body sealing it into a storage scroll.

"We should hurry before I run out of chakra" the Naruto clone said walking out from its hiding place. Since it was only a regular shadow clone the earlier pace had put a drain on its reserves and it didn't want to disperse before completing its mission.

Team 8 and Sasuke hopped out of the trees in a muddy clearing filled with huge bones, broken wood barrels and nine large wooden dog head totems. "Whoa, looks like your sensei didn't go down without a fight" Kiba respectfully.

"Yeah but his body isn't here" Sasuke said while lifting his hitai-ate from over his eye and activating his new doujutsu. Looking around he noticed a faint spirit energy signature coming from one of the totems and pointed at it. "Hinata could you take a look inside that dog head over there?"

"Hai, Byakugan!... Iiii'm not sure since there's a bunch of chakra in the wood mmmakking it hard to see through but it looks like sssomeone's inside"

Hope raising inside him Sasuke ran over to the Dog head took get a closer look and placed his hand on it. This immediately had the effect of causing the totem's engravings to glow a brilliant green. Seconds later the dog head's mouth cracked open allowing red and green fluids to escape. Sasuke managed to jump back just in time to avoid getting any on him and his new position allowed him to see the top of the Dog head fully open up and tilt down dropping a slime covered, white haired, human body in the process.

"And people think I'm gross" Shino said taking a step back.

Chirp…Chirp Chirp…ChirpChirpChirpChirp!Chirp!

Turning, Shino saw Sasuke had an absolutely livid expression on his face and was powering up a hand held Lightning jutsu "I take it this is not your Sensei?"

"No it's the asshole that killed him" Sasuke seethed as he prepared to rush the raising body that was now on its hands and knees.

"No… 'it'… isn't" The kneeling/panting figure said in a familiar voice as it gasped for breath. As it stood all four Konoha-nin could see a thumb-sized red flower bud on its shirtless chest.

"Thanks to this being some kind of flesh and blood clone and its curse mark trying to reject me I'll need a new body soon but… yeah…I'm still me" It said as it took another breath and looked at Sasuke with stolen eyes.

"I'm still Yamato"

A/N: Seems like every time I post a new chapter I'm giving you guys some excuse and apologizing for it being late but I swear I'm gonna start updating faster (I mean it this time). I know a lot of people are calling bullshit on Sasuke being able to use Genjutsu to hide from Itachi AND sneak up on Kurenai but please hold off with the flames until the next chapter when that and Yamato's resurretion will be addressed.
