Disclaimer: Of course I own Vampire Academy. I wrote it whilst studying at Hogwarts, in between making out with hot good wizards and zapping ugly evil ones. Anyone who says I'm delusional can't ride my unicorn...
Hope everyone had a good Christmas :)
It was after 12 o'clock before we eventually sat down, the Moroi completely worn out from dancing. None of us were particularly tired though, except for Vika, who was resting her head on Nikolai's shoulder.
He stroked her hair gently and whispered something. She nodded, and Nikolai spoke up. "Vika and I are going to call it a night. The jetlag has caught up with her."
She did look almost ready to fall asleep right there and then.
She slowly stood up with Nikolai's help, and I went over to them. "Of course, time-zone skipping sucks. There should be a tent set up for you to sleep in; just ask whoever you can find. You might want to avoid my mom's tent though; she and Zmey have been getting very friendly lately."
Viktoria laughed sleepily, and Nikolai grimaced. "Thanks for the warning." Vika leaned away from Nikolai and reached out to hug me. "Enjoy the rest of your night, Roza. Happy birthday."
"Thanks for coming. It was a great surprise, and made tonight perfect. I'll see you in the morning, once you're back in the right time zone."
She pulled away, and Dimitri came up beside me and hugged his sister.
"Goodnight, Dimka. I don't care what you do, now I'm not around to see it."
"Goodnight, Vika. I do care what you do, even if I'm not there. So no funny stuff."
He gave Nikolai a warning look, and he paled like Dimitri did under Abe's gaze.
"Oh, please Dimka. Some people can keep it in their pants." Those who spoke Russian laughed. "And I can guarantee you, I will be sleeping." She added.
Nikolai swept Viktoria into his arms, and carried her towards the door, through the chorus of goodbyes and goodnights from my friends.
We sat there for a minute, not really doing anything. A few people were telling Dimitri how nice his sister and her boyfriend were, as if he didn't already know. I just sat back and relaxed, enjoying a can of Red Bull and a donut- perfect post-party snacks.
"Why don't we play some party games?" Lissa suddenly suggested. Mia sprang up from her seat.
"I never I never I never!" She chanted, and Eddie groaned. He'd played this game with our group one too many times, but the thought just made me smile.
"I like your thinking, girls. Go get some food we can use."
Adrian grinned. "Of course you think it's a good idea if there's food involved. And since when is I Never played without alcohol?"
"Since 3 of the players are Guardians, 1 is a recovering alcoholic, and one is Sydney." I said in an 'are you stupid?' voice.
He grumbled something about the 'joys of growing up', just as Lissa and Mia put 8 paper bowls filled with jelly beans onto the floor. The others moved to sit on the floor in a circle.
I sat with Dimitri on one side, and Sydney on the other. This meant I wouldn't have to look at Adrian too much during the game, as he was sat on her other side.
Lissa started the game, as was tradition. "OK, so going clockwise round from me, we each say one thing that we haven't done, and if someone has done it, then they have to eat a jelly bean. Likewise, if you say you haven't done something, and no one else has either, then you eat a sweet as a forfeit. Everyone has 15 jelly beans; first person with none left loses. Anything else I missed?"
Lissa turned to me, checking for conformation.
I looked suspiciously around the group, narrowing my eyes at my friends.
"Only that you have to tell the truth, because we have 2 Spirit users who will know if you lie, and then I will come and kick your ass until you tell every last embarrassing detail. You have been warned."
When everyone looked sufficiently scared, I nodded at Lissa, signalling I was ready for her to start.
"Ok, uh, I never... got suspended from school."
Christian and I both ate jellybeans, and I was personally disappointed by her boring question. Christian seemed to think so too, making his question a bit more adventurous.
"I never been arrested." He said, smirking at me.
I shrugged, eating a candy, as well as Adrian and Eddie, Dimitri and Sydney. The others looked a little surprised at the last 2.
"Well, we were all caught up in the murder/prison break/Queen drama. Except Adrian, but hey. What was that for?" I asked.
"I got thrown out of a bar, and got a little over-excited. Several times." Adrian elaborated. Somehow, it didn't surprise me.
"I never set someone on fire." Dimitri stated. Christian, obviously, and Eddie ate one each.
"Eddie?" Mia asked with surprise.
"It was an accident. We were at a party, and I was really drunk. Someone passed me a lighter, because we'd got hold of weed. I lit up, but stumbled, and lit this guy's shirt on fire, and it went from there. He was fine though." Eddie didn't sound that convincing.
"Yeah, sure, Eddie. We had to push the poor guy in a pond to put the flames out. I told you and Mason that the weed was a bad idea. But do you ever listen to me?" I asked rhetorically. Eddie pretended to ponder it for a minute.
"Uh, no. Sorry, Rose."
"Don't apologise to me, I didn't have some huge senior chasing me around school for weeks trying to kick my ass."
Eddie shuddered at the memory of when the guy had finally got his hands on him. Before anyone else could ask, I took my turn.
"I never...have been punched by me."
All the guys plus Mia ate a jellybean. Mia touched her nose, remembering the time I broke it. You could still see where it hadn't healed properly.
It was Sydney's turn now.
"I never drank a whole bottle of vodka in one night."
Everyone else took a jellybean. "Seriously? It's not the blood-drinking that makes you guys scary- it's just the normal drinking!" She exclaimed.
"Ever think that it's you who's not normal, Sage?" Adrian asked mockingly. She ignored him, but Adrian didn't seem to care. He had a look on his face like he was about to make a (not very) funny joke, and change the direction of this game.
"I never..." He dragged out the pause to the point where it became annoying. I was just about to yell at him to get him to hurry up already, when he spoke. "I never shouted the wrong name during sex."
Oh, it had to be Adrian that changed the topic to that, and I had a feeling it would stay for a while- at least until it came to Sydney's turn again.
Only Mia admitted to this, looking ashamed as she took a sweet. "It was during the whole Ralf/Jesse/Aaron thing, okay? I said Aaron instead of Jesse."
"I have to say, Adrian, I'm a surprised. How did you keep track of all their names?" Christian asked.
Adrian shrugged. "To be honest, I didn't remember their names a lot of the time, so I just stayed quiet, or stuck to 'oh, yeah.' Anyway, I haven't been with that many girls."
All the girls shook their heads in disgust, and Sydney scrunched her nose up, but Adrian didn't notice.
It was Eddie's turn now, and as I expected, he kept in with Adrian's theme.
"I never slept with a teacher from my school. Or a student."
I rolled my eyes as Dimitri and I ate, but was shocked when I saw Adrian take one as well. "What the hell, Adrian? After all the shit you gave me, you slept with a teacher?"
"Calm down, Rose. I said 'a' teacher, not 'my' teacher. This was after I left school, she was only 3 years older than me, so not a cradle robber. And she was really hot."
I might have taken him seriously, had he not added the 'hot' comment on the end. But I let it go as it was Mia's turn again.
"I never 'did it' in the church attic."
Lissa and Christian took jellybeans. Lissa was blushing, but Christian was smirking. Liss saw my amusement at her discomfort, and aimed her next turn at me. Narrowing her eyes playfully, she said;
"I never had sex in a cabin in the woods."
I didn't care, though.
I turned to Dimitri, grinning, and saw he had a similar smile on his face. We hi-fived before taking candy, tossing them up in the air and catching them in our mouths. Badass.
I swallowed, and smiled widely at Lissa. "Don't knock my cabin, Liss."
Christian grimaced. "Stop right there, Rose. I don't wanna know no more."
"Sorry, Pyro. But I had the personal tour of the attic, so I think that entitles me to a bit of freedom of speech. I can make comparisons, and believe me; you come off worse every time." Satisfied, I leaned against Dimitri, happy to replay the events of the cabin until the next turn. I knew he already was.
Christian thought for a minute, but was still a bit unsettled by what I'd said. So he settled on;
"I never kissed someone of the same sex."
Eddie, Adrian, Lissa and I all took jellybeans.
"Care to share?" Mia prompted us.
I looked at Lissa and shrugged. "Dared by Eddie and Mason."
Eddie spoke next. "Dared by Rose and Lissa. It was Mason."
We turned to Adrian, who looked like he was deciding to say it or not.
"Uh, I was really drunk-"
"Well, duh." I said, and he glared. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"I was drunk, and there was this girl sitting next to me at the bar, and I started chatting her up, and she leaned over and kissed me. It was only after that I realised that She was a He."
We all laughed at that, and it was Dimitri's turn. He looked down at me, smiling.
"I never slept with anyone before who I'm with now."
I loved that I had been his first, like he was mine. I was so incredibly lucky that I had Dimitri all to myself.
Whilst half the group took candy, I kissed Dimitri. All too soon, we were interrupted.
"Seriously? It was hard enough to believe that Rose was a virgin, but Belikov?" Adrian shouted.
Dimitri pulled away to look at him. "Yes, why is that so hard to believe?" He asked suspiciously.
Adrian looked incredulous. "You went 24 years without sex, looking like that! How were you not molested at 14?" Adrian realised what he had said. "Not trying to sound gay at all here."
Even Sydney laughed at that.
Dimitri shrugged. "I guess growing up in a dhampir commune in a house full of women gave me some perspective. Especially after I saw how my mother was treated. I never wanted one-night stands. Then I was too busy training and being a Guardian to get into relationships."
Dimitri slipped an arm around my waist.
"That; and I was waiting for the right one. I'm glad I did."
There was a chorus of 'aaw's from the girls, and I carried on with what I had been doing before we had been interrupted. Making out with Dimitri.
"Ok, sweet as this all is, we don't need a demonstration of how you both came to lose your virginity. Cuz I'm pretty sure it started something like this."
With a sigh, I pulled away from Dimitri.
"Just remember, Christian. I really did see you lose your virginity. So shut the hell up."
Christian's cheeks burned with a fire that for once he couldn't control.
"Ok, before Christian spontaneously combusts, I never...faked an orgasm." I decided to stay with the current theme.
Lissa and Mia both took jellybeans, and we looked at them expectantly.
Lissa sighed. "It was with Aaron. You were always right, Rose. He was so boring, and was just the same when it came to sex. He seemed to be enjoying himself more than I was, so I felt bad."
Satisfied, Christian looking especially so, we turned to Mia.
"Ralf and Jesse." She shuddered. "I just wanted them to hurry the fuck up. Ralf was generally repulsive, and Jesse was way too slobbery."
"I know right! I swear if Dimitri hadn't burst in right then, I'd have drowned in drool."
Dimitri looked smug at having stopped that, but also had a look that he got when about to kill a vampire.
"He was generally sloppy at everything." Mia mused.
"Yep. An octopus- hands everywhere, slimy, and scrounges for scum off the ocean floor."
"Nice analogy." Eddie complimented me, before Sydney took her turn. "I never passed out drunk." I wasn't surprised she was avoiding the sex thing.
Everyone else ate one, and Adrian thought about his next question. There wasn't a lot he hadn't done.
"Unlike Sage, I'll stay with the previous theme. I never had sex in a...no, on the kitchen table."
Everyone looked at Adrian, expecting to have to forfeit for picking one that nobody had done. They almost didn't notice Dimitri and I try to sneak jellybeans into our mouths. Eddie was the only one to see.
"Guys, that's gross!"
Everyone else's heads whipped round, and I put on a cocky grin. "It was great by the way."
Christian suddenly shouted out, "hey, we share a kitchen table! I eat off of that table! Is nothing sacred, is nowhere safe?"
I grinned. "Well, definitely not any of the sofas, the chairs, the kitchen counter, either shower, the wall by the bookshelf, the desk in the study, and the floor next to our sofa. And just avoid our bedroom in general. I think you should be safe everywhere else."
Christian looked pale, and Lissa had wrinkled her nose up. Everyone else looked like they were trying not to laugh. "So, I'll have to stay in my bedroom to keep away from any 'crime scenes'? Christian asked.
"Yep, that's right." I agreed, only to be cut off by Dimitri.
"Uh... Roza, what about that time..."
"Oh yeah, I remember! You might want to avoid your bed, guys. We might have... borrowed it one night."
"You forgot that you had sex in my bed?!" Christian screeched, his voice shooting up an octave, like he'd just been kicked in the balls.
"I know, right? How the hell did I forget that?" I got lost in the memories of that night. "Yeah, that was a great night. All 3 times." I felt a goofy smile spread over my face.
Eddie and Adrian pretended to be sick, and Christian looked like he was actually going to throw up.
"What are you, animals in breeding season?" Mia asked with mild disgust.
I grinned, running a finger down Dimitri's arm. "You might lose control too, if you had this sexy Siberian Tiger in your bed."
We locked eyes, and I saw the mischief and lust in his. For once, his shyness was overcome. "I can't resist this wildcat."
"Easy tiger." I purred, leaning into him.
"My eyes!" Christian screamed, burying his head in Lissa's shoulder, and nearly everyone else had their eyes closed. I held back a laugh.
"Please, stop this torture! I'll do anything you say, just please get on with the game!" Eddie shouted, and this time I let out an evil laugh.
"Alright, just because I feel sorry for you and the obvious lack of hot sex in your life."
Eddie continued quickly, glaring at me. "I never had a sexual fantasy about Dimitri."
I rolled my eyes, reaching out to take candy. My hand stopped half-way there when I noticed all the other girls doing the same, looking ashamed.
"What the hell?!" I shouted, looking at each of my 'friends'.
They all paled, which was saying something as they were already pale blondes.
"I'm sorry! I had a dream when we were on the run!" Sydney apologised.
"Random dream, ages ago, I swear!" Lissa told me desperately.
"A couple of times when we were in really crappy lessons and Dimitri was guarding us. I was bored, and my mind naturally wandered to the hottest guy in the room! Please don't break my nose again!" Mia begged. I thought about it for a moment, glaring at them a little more. What I was about to say was cut off by an unexpected voice.
"Weird dream. Really, really weird alcohol induced dream that I can in no way explain. Worse than dream, a creepy nightmare."
We all stared at Adrian.
"You had a dream about Dimitri?" Sydney and I asked. Well, I asked, she shouted.
He nodded, and shuddered. "If it's any consolation, it didn't last long, and I knew I was dreaming. We didn't even get past kissing. Much."
"You're a Spirit user- you always know you're dreaming!" Sydney reasoned.
"Please tell me it wasn't a Spirit dream." I begged.
Adrian shook his head. "It can't have been, because I'd been drinking-"
"It can't have been a spirit dream, because there is no way in hell I would actually kiss you, and a Spirit dream would mean I was actually there!" Dimitri spat, sounding slightly grossed out. I knew the feeling.
"Oh yeah, never thought of that." Adrian said thoughtfully.
I cut them off before this situation could get any weirder. "Ok, I believe you all. I can't blame your subconscious selves for wanting someone better than your own boyfriends. Or for being secretly gay."
They relaxed slightly, too soon. "But if you ever think of him like that again, I swear I will knock you out, cut all your hair off, and leave you to the mercy of rabid Canadian geese and vipers."
They nodded meekly, and I relaxed back against Dimitri, and he whispered to me. "You're so cute when you're jealous."
I didn't reply, just smiled slightly. I didn't even care he'd called me cute.
Eddie quickly took his turn before I could threaten anyone else.
"Ok, I, uh, never passed out during sex, or had someone fall asleep."
Adrian was the only one to take a jellybean.
"Which one?" Lissa asked him. Adrian shrugged.
"Not really sure. Probably a bit of both at the same time."
I noticed Sydney looking uncomfortable. It couldn't be easy listening to her boyfriend talking about all his ex girlfriends so casually. I decided to try and move the topic of conversation when it got to my turn.
Fortunately, Mia noticed her discomfort as well, and said her next 'I never.'
"I never had sex on a plane."
Dimitri and I were the only ones who took candy.
"I should have known. You two are truly unbelievable. Please tell me I wasn't on the plane at the time." Lissa groaned.
"Nah, it was on the way back from Russia. At least it was a private jet, and not a commercial plane. That would have been too far, even for us."
Dimitri nodded in agreement, and to his credit, he was handling this very well. A lot of personal stuff was being said, but he was taking it all in his stride, and he even looked a little smug.
So far, these were how many jellybeans we each had left:
Me 8
Adrian 8
Dimitri 9
Mia 10
Eddie 11
Lissa 11
Chris 11
Sydney 13
It was Lissa's go now.
"I never refused counselling."
Christian and Adrian admitted to it, and Christian aimed his next turn at me. "I never hit a parent."
What he didn't expect was for Dimitri to have done it as well. "What happened?" Lissa asked with concern.
It was a moment before Dimitri answered. "My father wasn't treating my mother right. When I was 13, my sisters and I were up in my room, trying to block out the sound of the fight downstairs."
I'd heard all this before, and knew it was never an easy story for Dimitri to tell. I took his hand, encouraging him to continue.
"I heard a crash, and her cry out, begging him to stop. That was the first time she'd ever cried because of the abuse; normally she was strong enough to take it. My sisters were scared, and I'd had enough. So I went downstairs, pulled him off her, and punched him in the face. He tried to hit me back, but he was tired out, so I beat him. When my father fell to his knees in front of me, I told him to get out of the house and never come back, or I wouldn't let him off so easily. The last time I saw my father, he was literally crawling to get away from me, and didn't look back as I slammed the door behind him."
Eddie shook his head incredulously. "Dude, that's rough. It's no wonder you turned out how you did. That's why they call you a god."
I felt Dimitri's discomfort, and spoke up to support him.
"No, he would have turned out to be an amazing Guardian even if it had never happened. He's just that good."
True Dimitri probably wouldn't be the person he was now if he hadn't been forced to face that particular hardship. He'd have had an easier life, and wouldn't be the stoic and disciplined man he was today. But he would have still been a badass Guardian.
Dimitri smiled gratefully, and Eddie nodded slightly. "You're right."
Lissa then took her go. "I never bought designer knockoffs."
Mia grumbled something about rich Royals and keeping up appearances as she took a candy.
It was Dimitri's turn next, and he thought for a few seconds before saying; "I never got suspended from school."
I pouted. "Comrade, you're not supposed to get me out!"
"Sorry."
I reluctantly took a candy, along with Christian.
"I never..." Aw man, I was running out of things I hadn't done. "Um, read a book so many times I lost count." This one would be payback for Dimitri, and the look on his face told me he knew what I was doing. Lissa, Sydney and Dimitri took jellybeans.
"Rose, the point of this game is that you say bad things you've never done, to make people embarrassed." Christian told me.
"Uh, duh. They should be embarrassed at that."
Dimitri glared at me, and I just smiled back. "Comrade, you own the same books in 2 languages, and alternate which version you read. That is just a little sad, you have to admit."
Everyone laughed at his hurt expression, and Sydney took her turn.
"I never got Molnija marks."
All the Guardians sighed as we took candy. It was a pretty boring one, but meant I only had 5 jellybeans left. Shit. Dimitri only had one more than me, though.
Then it was Adrian's turn. He looked straight at me before saying, "I never died."
"What a pity." I replied drily, reaching out to take a sweet. As I did so, I saw Dimitri's hand twitching awkwardly. I thought I knew why, and my suspicions were confirmed when he spoke.
"Do I... I mean, technically, did I..."
Everyone's expressions turned sort of sympathetic, and Adrian looked sheepish for bringing it up.
"Well, you're not Shadow Kissed, so..." Lissa pointed out.
"Nope, you didn't die," I decided. "When I asked Mason what had happened, I asked 'is he alive' and he said no, and then 'is he dead', and he said no."
Dimitri didn't look particularly reassured, but his hand was still again. Leaning over, I picked it up, wrapping both my hands around his. He smiled gratefully at me.
Mia's go. "I never saw everyone here naked," she said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes, regretting my joke that I'd now seen everyone naked when she stepped out the shower to ask for some shampoo a couple of days ago. Now she was using it against me. Only 3 beans left for me now.
"Wait, when did you see everyone naked?" Sydney asked the question everyone had been thinking.
I sighed. "Ugh, really? Okay- Lissa and I shared a dorm room. Mia got out the shower to ask for some shampoo. Sydney and I shared a compartment on the Trans-Siberian and she forgot about Dhampir night-vision when getting changed. Mason and I once stripped Eddie when he had passed out and Adrian doesn't waste his time whipping off his silk boxers. As for Christian- as if practically experiencing sex with him through the bond wasn't enough, I walked in on him and Lissa once or twice and got a full-on view of his pasty ass. And I don't think I have to elaborate on Dimitri. Satisfied?"
Everyone looked kinda shocked for a second, before Christian burst out laughing. "Rose, you're such a pervert!"
I rolled my eyes. "Christian, I think that implies that the viewing was voluntary. It's more like I'm an unwilling witness to crimes against nature- especially if we're talking about your penis."
Everyone laughed that time, except Christian whose cheeks were turning red. I took the opportunity to lean in closer to Dimitri.
"Except in your case. Then, I'm a more than happy witness to all your crimes." I said, winking.
"Rose! Whatever you're saying, stop it. Save the sexy talk for later." Lissa said, glaring. I put my hands up in surrender.
"I was just asking if there were any more donuts." I lied.
This seemed to give Christian an idea. "I never ate an entire box of a dozen Krispy Kremes by myself."
Sydney looked disgusted and Mia shook her head in disbelief as I took a jellybean.
"In my defence, it's you guys who keep making me eat." I said, holding up the candy as proof.
"We don't see you complaining, though." Eddie quipped.
"It's rude to turn down free food."
Mia laughed. "Since when do you care about being rude?"
I didn't bother answering that, since my reply would probably prove her point, and waved at Lissa to take her turn.
"I never flirted with a cop to avoid getting a ticket."
I pouted. "Aw, Liss! I saved your ass loads of times with that!"
Dimitri turned to look at me, frowning. "Loads of times?"
Shrugging, I bumped his shoulder. "Just doing my duty, Comrade."
Adrian took a jellybean as well, and explained, "there was one time I got pulled over for reckless driving."
Sydney looked perplexed. "Why didn't you just use compulsion on him?"
He looked down. "The reason I was driving badly was because I'd had a bit to drink, so that wasn't an option. Maybe the magic helped a bit, but I guess it was mostly my wit, charm and good looks that got me out of spending the night at the station." He looked up, flashing a smile to prove his point. Sydney rolled her eyes.
"Just checking," I said innocently, "this was a female officer, right?" Adrian glared. "Well, can't blame me for being uncertain. I mean, you've already confessed to kissing a guy and dreaming about Dimitri in the last half hour."
That made everyone laugh as a blush crept over Adrian's pale skin. Seeing this, Sydney leaned over and kissed his cheek, whispering something about knowing he wasn't gay. I chose to ignore it.
I had more important things to worry about. Like the fact I was down to my last bean.
I looked at Dimitri pleadingly, silently begging him not to get me out yet. He raised one eyebrow at me before speaking, and I was afraid of what he'd say.
"I never used magic."
Phew, he'd let me off. The Moroi grumbled, and took candy. The strange thing was, when I glanced around at everyone's bowls, I could have sworn there was one less jellybean in Sydney's stash as well. I shook it off, trying to think of something I'd never done.
"I never... re-watched a film as soon as it had finished." Lissa and Dimitri both took candy. "You are so sad. I can't believe I even know you."
They looked suitably abashed, and I used the time Sydney took to decide what to say to count up the remaining beans.
Me 1
Adrian 5
Dimitri 5
Mia 8
Eddie 10
Lissa 8
Chris 8
Sydney11
Sydney and Eddie weren't all that surprising, but the Adrian/Dimitri tie was a shocker. Then again, they were the oldest, so had been around longer to do stuff. That, or maybe it was because of the 'I never's were sexual. Oh dear, I'd led Dimitri astray. The fact I was losing this proved what a bad influence I was.
Just then, Sydney smiled evilly, and I knew this game was over.
"I never lost a game of I Never."
I ceremoniously picked up my last bean, before throwing it up into the air and crunching down on it.
"That's it for me! I am officially the queen of I Never!" I shouted.
"You know that means you're the loser right?" Christian told me.
"Yeah, I may be 'the' loser, but I'm not 'a' loser. Because getting out first means that I've lived the coolest and most interesting life. So I think you'll find that I am actually the winner in this situation."
Everyone was silent for a second, before a chorus of 'Rose Logic' started up. I sighed in content as Dimitri put an arm around me. That reminded me of the one present I had left to receive. Dimitri had told me earlier that we had booked this cabin until 10am the following morning, so could stay here overnight to keep away from the group.
"Alright, party's over. Thanks for everything, I had a great time and it was the best birthday ever. But now you all need to get out of here and head back to your own beds." I made a shooing motion with my hands.
"What's the rush?" Christian asked lazily, leaning back on his elbows.
I glared. "Every second you're here, I'm missing out on birthday sex. So I suggest vacating this cabin before we do it anyway. You know I would."
Everyone was on their feet in seconds, scrambling to get out the door. "Bye!" I called cheerfully, before turning around to find myself in Dimitri's arms.
"That wasn't nice, Roza."
"I'm not nice. In fact, I feel very bad." I whispered, running a hand down his arm.
A second later, Dimitri was carrying me bridal-style to a small room off from the main hall part. In here, there was a couple of chairs and a pool table. But my attention was caught by the pile of pillows and blankets opposite a crackling fire- just like the one that had been burning in the cabin at St. Vlads.
Dimitri carried me to the blankets, leaning down and gently laying me down on the makeshift bed. He hovered over me, and I gripped his shirt.
"Happy birthday, Roza." He whispered.
It was a very happy birthday indeed.
Review and play a game of I Never with the gang... with Dimitri as your prize ;D
