Kanashi's eyes finally opened, and he quickly closed them again once he saw the light from the lamps above. "What the hell happened?" he mumbled as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head. Apparently he must've hit his head hard as well.
Just as I was about to answer, Koromaru sat next to Kanashi, his tail wagging as it was earlier. And a bark. "Holy fuck!" Kanashi yelled as he scurried away from Koromaru.
Kanashi literally shivered as he stared at Koromaru. Geez… His legs were wobbling so much that he couldn't even stand up. That's some deep seated fear right there. And yet, his efforts to get away from Koromaru were all for naught.
"Get off me! Get off me!"
Koromaru tackled Kanashi, and sat on his stomach, wagging his tail contently. "Apparently Koromaru seems to like you a lot Kanashi. I wonder why," Yashiro chuckled a little.
Kanashi paled considerably and he looked about to move to try and get Koromaru off him. "I-I…" he tried to say, staring into Koromaru's red eyes. "I don't care that he likes me! He's a dog! I-I… Dogs are horrible! They're scary as all fuck!" he exclaimed.
Koromaru whimpered, resting his head on Kanashi's stomach. You know, now that I think about it… Koro's pretty strong. He did just knock down a person several feet taller than him with… ease, actually. "Not all of them are like that Kanashi," Nyx sighed. "The last dog I might've dealt with before Koromaru may have been slightly vicious, but Koromaru is definitely not like that."
Last dog? You mean a three headed one from hell? Seems legit.
"How do you know that he secretly isn't a knife-wielding berserker that rips his enemies to shreds?" Kanashi said with a shaky voice.
…okay, that was scarily accurate. But Koromaru doesn't fight anymore. Even if his strength suggests otherwise.
Koromaru whined before getting off Kanashi and licking his hand, most likely in appeal. Aw… But why do I feel my masculinity draining away all of a sudden? Crap. I feel a lot less manly than usual. The unsaid thought I have will stay silent however…
"Oh crap!" Yashiro muttered before he turned around from the scene. "My… manliness… it's fading away," he wheezed as he leant against the sofa.
That was more overdramatic than I thought it would be. Who knew that Yashiro's lifeblood was actually his masculinity? I chuckled inwardly. It's a good thing that my lifeblood is more on bonds and people rather than my masculinity.
"Stop. Stop licking me," Kanashi tried to say. Koromaru looked up and tilted his head. Geez. Koromaru's so cute, I don't get it. However, he whined in disappointment. I have to wonder. Why does Koromaru like Kanashi so much? Especially since Kanashi is afraid of dogs and stuff.
Kanashi's eye twitched as he finally sat up however he sighed. He seemed to be a bit calmer than before. "Why are you so cute?" he muttered, slowly, but steadily reaching his hand out to pat Koromaru on the head.
Koromaru seemed to be… smiling, actually. He looked a lot happier than before. Koromaru let out a happy bark which caught Kanashi off guard, but he managed to regain his composure quickly and simply kept petting him.
I looked around, finding Nyx merely watching on with a… I thought I saw a shadow of a smirk cross her face, but… why the hell would she be smirking at that? Mysterious.
And Yashiro finally turned around to see what was happening. "Gods, that's cuter than before!" he cried, turning back around again. Is he thinking that if he doesn't watch them his levels of manliness won't go down? That's kinda funny actually.
"What!? Why are you sitting in my lap!?" Kanashi said.
Koromaru… he was indeed laid out on Kanashi's lap. In fact, it appeared that he was taking a nap.
"I dunno. He must really like you. I haven't seen Koromaru warm up to someone that fast before," I shrugged. "Well, that aside…"
"Hm?" he asked.
"I just wanted to ask but… why are you afraid of dogs?" I said slowly, letting the question sink in a bit. Kanashi paled immediately but calmed down a little as he looked at Koromaru. It seemed that he didn't have the heart to move the napping dog.
"Because… German Shepherd… it ran me over… four-ish," Kanashi muttered.
"Wha?" Yashiro asked.
"A German Shepherd ran me over, I swear, when I was four or something like that… The fucking dog looked like it was going to tear me to shreds, it was growling and everything!" Kanashi shivered as he thought about it.
"Oh, I see…" I nodded. "Well, Koromaru isn't violent."
…most of the time. Not when he's fighting Shadows. When he did, he was vicious to be sure…
"And… well, I guess Koromaru is kinda…" I couldn't hear Kanashi as he trailed off. "Cute. Yeah, Koromaru's cute," he finally finished his sentence. Was he trying to find a way to describe Koromaru's charm?
"Hahaha!" Yashiro laughed when he heard Kanashi again. "You admit it! Also, why aren't your manliness levels decreasing?" he asked, scrutinizing Kanashi's expression.
"…they are," Kanashi muttered.
"Well, now that is sorted out," Nyx sighed as she got up. She was about to walk up the stairs however she was stopped.
"Nyx. Were you the one that got me unconscious?" Kanashi said slowly, but surely, a stern gaze forming in his look.
"Yes. You needed to calm down," she said simply before walking up the stairs again.
Kanashi scowled before his expression turned into… a smirk. What are you thinking there?
"Are you plotting revenge or something?" Yashiro asked with a small smile.
Kanashi looked up with a seemingly innocent expression. "Revenge? Why would I be plotting revenge?" he chuckled slightly. However, it was that laugh that began to tell me that all was not as it seemed. In fact, that chuckle almost sounded evil.
"Oh I dunno, you might've wanted to plot revenge against the person who felled you unconscious while you weren't looking, immediately throwing some amount of humiliation onto your already wounded pride?" Yashiro said simply, looking around nonchalantly.
Wow. That thought had a lot of elaboration stacked on top, to be sure.
"…you're scary dude," Kanashi muttered, looking up at Yashiro with his stare a bit twitchy.
"And score another for me," Yashiro chuckled. "Looks like I guessed right," he smiled.
"That was a guess? Are you into voodoo!?" Kanashi's eyes widened, and he pointed towards Yashiro accusingly.
"No, but I am into Tarot and cards," Yashiro smirked. A sharp sound cut through the air, and it seemed to be what I thought it would be.
"Gah! I thought I told you not to do that before!" Kanashi yelled.
A lone Tarot card was stuck in the ground, and Kanashi seemed too pre-occupied with Yashiro's shenanigans to bother too much with the card. I picked it up from the ground, finding another clean cut into the floor. "Devil," I muttered. Devil meant temptation and power. Ah, that makes sense.
"Oh, what was that card there?" Yashiro asked as he noticed that I had picked it up.
"Devil," I replied simply.
"Huh, cool. Thought so," Yashiro smiled as I gave the card back to him.
"Guys, what's up? You guys are sure noisy…" I heard someone very familiar say as they walked down the stairs. Yukari.
"Hey. Why'd you come down?" I asked.
"Nyx said that it would be good if we came down…" Fuuka said as she came down the stairs.
"I still do not know why she called us however," Aigis continued.
"Well, I guess she might've thought that because there's someone you have yet to meet here; a new friend of mine and all," I replied. I think that would probably be the best option since all of them had met Kanashi, and knew him better since Junpei surprisingly spent a lot of time hanging out with Kanashi than usual.
"Oh, who is it?" Yukari said cheerfully.
"I think he's talking about me," Yashiro said.
I chuckled a little. "Yeah. Well guys, this is Yashiro. Hopefully you might get along with him," I smiled as I gestured over to him.
"Ah, nice to meet you Yashiro-san," Fuuka smiled cordially. "I'm Fuuka," she said, introducing herself.
"Cool. I'm Yukari, and you might already know me because of the rumour mill and all," Yukari laughed slightly.
"I am Aigis. Nice to meet you Yashiro-san," Aigis introduced herself last.
"Well… nice to meet you all," Yashiro nodded.
Well, that went well. But uh… I wonder where Nyx got the idea to introduce him to the others though. She wouldn't normally suggest this kinda thing. I guess I'll have to make a note to ask her about that later.
I heard a soft 'thud,' bringing me to full alert. What was that? I looked at the ground and… Holy, that looks funny as hell.
Kanashi seemed to have fallen asleep and took a nap on the floor. However, Koromaru had moved on top of his stomach again like when he tackled him. However I think this time, it is safe to say, that he didn't tackle him.
"Whoa. What happened to Kanashi?" Yukari asked, laughing a little.
"I dunno," I shrugged. "I think he fell asleep. He did originally come here since he was waiting on Junpei. Must've gotten tired and then… that happened," I said, still a little unsure of it all.
"Kanashi is in need of more sleep," Aigis sighed as she looked over his form.
"I'd say," I deadpanned at him.
"But why is Koro-chan sleeping on top of him as well?" Fuuka asked with a slightly embarrassed expression and an unsure tone to match.
"Koromaru likes him that much apparently, even though he's afraid of most dogs," Yashiro chuckled. "But I think this time he managed to get over his fear and now… they're like that instead of him throwing stuff at Koromaru."
"Wow…" Yukari said with a surprised tone.
Smash!
Huh what?
Koromaru barked happily as the door opened and he leapt off Kanashi to greet whoever was at the door. And with that, Kanashi also bolted awake. Junpei's finally back. So, I wonder what he was out for…?
"Hey guys! What did I miss?" he grinned triumphantly. "Well, I brought Chidori with me since something came up. Something… kinda bad."
"Holy crap, it's a goth!" Kanashi said, his eyes widening.
Right now Kanashi? I sighed and proceeded to facepalm. Hard.

Nyx? My headcanon says that since Ryoji was connected to Nyx as the Appriser and stuff, he's connected to Nyx in some way. We don't actually know expressly how Ryoji communicated with Nyx, but depending on the way, perhaps something could happen to help Nyx and Ryoji communicate. I dunno.
And lastly… I just write down my thoughts about the situation at hand in order to make up Minato's thoughts. That's what came out first, so that's what I wrote.
