Yashiro sat on a bench, looking up at the ceiling with no particular reason to, other than the fact that he was thinking. Hard. What had just happened yesterday was something that he wasn't expecting to say the least, especially with Kanashi getting attacked with an assassin and all. At least, that was what they had assumed that man with the razors to be.

Not to mention, he did just get told that he had a Persona and that Minato had actually come back from the dead or something of the sort. Whatever shenanigans that Minato's group was involved in, it was certainly a turn for the strange and weird. He had heard of SEES before but he never knew the purpose of it, and never heard about it from Akihiko other than a cryptic explanation that it was something pretty important and secretive. He could see why now. Something like Persona wasn't something that could be told about easily.

"Yashiro, aren't you gonna fight?" he heard someone say.

Yashiro looked up, finding that it was another member of the boxing club. "Yeah," he answered simply, getting ready and putting some head gear on and stepping into the ring. Another spar.

Yashiro sighed inwardly as the bell rang and immediately, his eyes were on the opponent's footwork. Since he was an out-boxer he had to watch out for it. Keeping away from the foe was something that was crucial. Keeping their assaults at bay was something that Yashiro had to do. And lastly, keeping safe.

Yashiro dodged out of the way of a right hook easily, keeping a wise distance away from his opponent, trying to look for an opening that he could squeeze himself into to get a K.O. He might've been a bit more of a hit and run boxer, but it wasn't as if he wasn't strong. He could knock out someone quite easily with just one of his punches.

Finding an opportunity as his opponent left himself open from that attempted hook Yashiro rushed in and delivered an uppercut to his chin, effectively lifting him off his feet. Yashiro looked on as he slumped to the floor. "Should've tried my punches out first before he rushed in for an attack," he mumbled.

To him, that fight was nothing challenging. That was pathetically easy in fact. Yashiro shook his head and got ready to leave the school and the club for the day. What kind of challenge was there in that? Absolutely nothing. There were two things that he kept with him from the remains of his life and they were the spirit for fighting and a strong value for friendship.

He thought that his kind of thinking could sooner get him killed, but he didn't really care that much.

If that was what killed him, he could die with no regrets. If it came down to that in any case. He doubted it would before, but now with the looming threat of assassins and whatnot, it wasn't all that far off.

Most importantly now, he was getting a bit worried about Kanashi. He was a target of an assassin after all. He knew for a fact that Kanashi really didn't like the idea of being attacked by an assassin like that, and he expressed that firmly with many threats and a lot of cursing. Of course, it was still something that Yashiro expected, but the anger behind it all was something that he hadn't seen before.

It was unfamiliar to Yashiro the reason behind it, but anger was something that he had felt many times. Anger in helplessness and frustration. He was getting closer to the Port Island station, but as he kept thinking about it all, he smashed his fist against the wall. Don't. Think. About it.

Yesterday had quite the crazy shenanigans for Kanashi, getting attacked by that damn assassin and all, finding out that he had some kind of ethereal power that he could use to mess his enemies up badly. It made him smirk just thinking about it, using it to get the people that he hated and backstabbers that he despised back.

No-one could possibly get in his way if he had it, and if he could actually use it. But apparently using Persona only worked under extremer amounts of stress.

Well, even if he had Persona, it wasn't like he'd use it all the time unless he needed it. It wasn't as if he didn't get by fine without it before. As usual, Kanashi was merely minding himself, and as usual… his bad luck kicked in.

Kanashi never quite knew how it was that he got into brawls so often, but it was just something that he was used to by now and something that he actually didn't mind too much. Maybe it was just because of some very cruel twists of fate trying to get karma back on him for beating up on his 'friends' who actually weren't really his friends. To him that theory didn't really make that much sense. At all really.

"Are you here to beat up on my ride?" Kanashi asked with narrowed eyes, targeting the thugs that approached him. "You know what? Never mind. Let's just get this over with," he groaned as he brought up a loose guard, telling them to 'come hither.'

The thugs looked between themselves with confused expressions before they charged in and tried to attack Kanashi anyways. They hadn't been used to someone who had seemed so used to these kinds of attacks. Usually they would just cower in fear before they gave them pretty much everything that they owned. But not Kanashi.

As a thug came rushing towards him, Kanashi dropped down low and reared back his fist before burying it deep within the thug's gut. However, he didn't stop with that strike, and he kept going. With his other fist, he drove an uppercut up the punk's chin, effectively leaving him motionless from the effects of the brain-rattling punch. Lastly, Kanashi threw a hook at his temple, further aggravating his vision, until he finally fell into an unconscious heap.

Well, that was easier than Kanashi thought it would go. Not even one punch was landed from the other. Weak. That's what they were. They beat up on some bystander who wasn't even doing anything, and trying to go for his ride. Pointless. And insulting.

Kanashi narrowed his eyes at the remainder, stunned by his strength. He had taken out that ally so quickly that it was as if it was all a blur. "Aren't you going to try again? I dare you!" Kanashi growled.

The others that he had first fought before. They didn't stop. So, Kanashi didn't try to stop either. He might've blacked out that first time for a few seconds, but he sucked at fighting back then. Now…

"Don't you try to fuck with me!" Kanashi snarled as he smashed his fist into an incoming hood from behind. "You guys aren't going to get out of here alive with those sloppy moves! At least if you try to attack someone or whatever, know what you're doing!" he said, berating the group.

They gritted their teeth, and again they tried to attack Kanashi. As they approached, Kanashi brought his arms up into a guard, and charged forward once again, weaving through their attacks. Behind the rush of people, he found a last thug trying to make off with his bike. "Don't you dare!" he roared before he threw a hard hitting hook into his side, embedding it deep within his abdomen and releasing a large, forceful sound in the area. The hood wasn't able to recover as pain shot through his body whenever he tried to even breathe.

"Hmph," Kanashi smirked as he eyed the fear in all of their eyes. He did after all just render one of their men incapacitated and cringing on the ground with one single punch.

"Kill steal!" Kanashi heard. He looked around as he heard, and within a few moments, of not looking at the thugs, two of them were down on the ground.

Yashiro.

Kanashi raised an eyebrow before he eyed the only one that was left standing. Yashiro looked at Kanashi with a slight smile, seemingly leaving that one for him. He seemed to already know that if he somehow managed to hit the final one, Kanashi probably would've killed him at that point. Not seriously of course.

Shaking his head, Kanashi ran and delivered the final punch to the final thug, rendering his sprawled on the ground and ending the brawl.

Yashiro looked to Kanashi and Kanashi back at Yashiro. "What are you doing here and why did you try to help me?" Kanashi asked with a raised eyebrow. He didn't take very well to people helping him as much, but he decided that since Yashiro did leave that last one for him he could let it slide. He would be gotten back of course, but it would be something small.

"Just looked like something to join in on. Is that so bad?" Yashiro asked, rubbing the back of his head.

"I guess not, but… I could've handled that by myself!" Kanashi sighed, his eyebrow twitching.

"I know. But I have something better than that," Yashiro smirked slightly as he got into a stance.

"Wait, you wanna fight me again?" Kanashi asked.

…that totally made up for it.

"Yup," Yashiro answered. "Any place in mind?"

"Well you aren't taking my bike, that's for sure. Alley, let's go," Kanashi shrugged.

Yashiro was still thinking about how protective he was of his bike. Oh well, something to worry about later.

And with that, Kanashi and Yashiro made their ways over to a back street, and without any warning, it started.

Kanashi rushed forward to try and get some solid hits on Yashiro. This fight was different to all the others that he had been in. In most others, he was fighting because his life depended on it, he was targeted first for something that he didn't do, or just because his luck was pretty shit. But this time… he was fighting for the sake of fighting; god forbid, for fun even.

Someone had bothered to ask him first.

Yashiro dodged to the side and avoided the strikes, finding an opportunity to try and get a hit or two on him. Yashiro hadn't had as much of a challenge with anyone except for Kanashi. When he fought, he fought to help and protect his friends, bit for once he was cutting loose because he wanted to find a challenge and to let the both of them unwind.

They had their own problems, but they got through them by fighting as hard as they could. That was how they lived.

Yashiro knew that.

Kanashi knew that.

Kanashi turned to try and get a hit on Yashiro, but…

A resounding 'smack' echoed in the area as Kanashi smashed his strike into Yashiro's cheek and Yashiro's earlier punch smashed into Kanashi's own, knocking the both of them backwards.

A competitive smirk crawled onto Kanashi's face as he rubbed off the pain that he felt in his cheek.

Yashiro smiled slightly as he recovered from Kanashi's hard hit, and he ignored the bruising.

Now this was a challenge.
