It was yet another boring day for Nyx. Everything was just moving so painfully slow and she wondered if she was learning much about the human world at all. After all, it wasn't as if there was much to be done with the situation of the humans that lived in the world. Though she supposed that the interaction with Minato's other friends were cordial.

Oh well. It wasn't much. Even if they were quite the eccentric characters. Actually, it reminded her of other gods and figures like her. Minato reminded her much of Orpheus. She had never seen him in true person, but from whatever Hades had told her, she thought that he was a lot like that musician; daring, yet doubtful, courageous, yet foolish and devoted, yet misguided. And his voice. Yes, that was it, his voice. It might've been just her wild imagination, but even she could swear that her heart and the air around him started to move and dance along to his very words when he sang.

Was it just yet another parallel? The Fates playing tricks on even her?

Nyx shook her head as she dismissed that issue. It was something that she could worry about later. Now...

Was there anything that she had learned today from Minato's friends?

She could only see…

Putting things in order…

Kenji and Junpei were the first that she had spent time with. The two of them were quite friendly characters, if not overly so. They displayed a sense of familiarity between each other. In fact, they were probably closer to each other than Minato was to Junpei. And that said a lot about how long they had known each other for.

Familiarity was something of a main principle between the two of them. One could have sworn that they were brothers by how close they were, only split apart by their definite difference in overall appearance.

Not only that, but she noticed that they as friends were very similar to each other, in their love for video games, their love for ramen, not to mention their lack of tact and reading of a situation. Her overall opinion of the two wasn't quite as high as it could be. Perhaps it had something to do with their lack of intelligence in many situations and instances. But it was safe to say that she didn't get along very well with them. Well, at least she thought so.

The last thing, which Nyx found quite amusing, was that whenever there was a joke, they would end up being the tails of it. Unfortunate, but true. But after all, humour came from other people's misfortunes. That was the principle of humour.

How did she get onto this subject?

Nyx once again recalled the rest that she had spent time with as she shook her head.

Kazushi was yet another of Minato's friends. She was starting to notice now that regardless of any differences or similarities, people could become at least friends or acquaintances. Those who were similar to each other and shared many things between them were probably closer as they were able to relate to each other more. If there was something that she saw from Kazushi that Minato also had, it was that they were quite determined and strong standing young men. They weren't easy to persuade once they were set on something unless there were very good reasons not to proceed with that course of action.

In any case, she tolerated Kazushi more than Kenji or Junpei, mostly because while they two were easier to talk to, at least Kazushi had a little more tact than the two of them. In fact, Nyx really didn't have that much tact and liked to speak what was on her mind more directly, but even she knew when to keep her mouth shut and when not to. Learning how to speak well was useless if you didn't know how to speak at the right times.

And at least, Kazushi had that going for him.

Regardless, she didn't partake in his love for athletics like he did, so she couldn't really say that much.

Akihiko and Ken. Now they were a couple of boys that she didn't see often around the dorm. Ken, mostly because he was starting to spend more time out and when he came back to the dorm he was always set on where and what he was going to do more. That and he spent more bonding time with Akihiko, regardless of the studying and work that Akihiko had to do.

Anyways, Akihiko… he was much like Kazushi. Focused on sports and keeping fit. She now understood why Kanashi occasionally called him 'gym junkie.' It was all too true in his case. However, the few times that she managed to speak to Akihiko, it was at least a mature and slow going conversation rather than Junpei or Kenji's more fast paced speed.

So she took in more information about keeping fit than she really needed to.

Ken. She somehow felt some resonance between him, despite the stark age differences. From what Minato had told her before, he once housed the Persona Nemesis. That was probably the reason why. Nemesis was after all, one of her daughters.

However, she came to find that Ken was quite matured compared to many of the people that Minato surrounded himself with. She was able to gain many insights on how he felt about the rest of the members of SEES. And not once had she ever snapped at him. Nyx blamed it on his Persona and his resonance.

Overall, she at least enjoyed the small amount of time that Ken managed to spare in order to talk to her.

His viewpoints of life so far were enlightening to say the least.

Yashiro was the last of Minato's friends that she had encountered. Needless to say, she hadn't interacted with him that much as a result, however even she couldn't deny that the cool and calm personality that he usually had was a breath of fresh air compared to the passionate and more fiery responses of some of Minato's other male friends.

She knew that he was at least an interesting character with his eyes on Tarot, boxing and poker all at the same time. It was a strange combination, and two of them involved cards. Now how about that?

Well, she still didn't know him well enough to make a judgement so far. Or really, on any of Minato's friends. However, impressions had been made so far and that was what mattered to her right now.

Minato.

A strange case.

She couldn't find very many words to describe him, but she seemed to be able to see everything from each of Minato's friends all at once. It was hard to say what he was because of that. He was an enigma to be sure.

One of the things that she had managed to gather was that he got along with everyone around him. It was probably because of his Wild Card, and the fact that he was of the Fool Arcana. It also meant…

He got along well with her too. She could tell that he displayed quite a bit of animosity to her, probably from what he had to do to seal her away and such. However, he was somehow able to keep himself a stiff upper lip and keep teaching her more and more about the conventions that existed in the human world nowadays.

She truly wondered how he could keep on doing that without losing his temper. Especially since Nyx wasn't blind to the fact that he didn't enjoy the time with her. Neither did she, but that was beside the point.

That was the thing; she got along with him, and yet she didn't. It was some kind of peculiar walking contradiction that had kept her interested to know about him more, and yet not too close that she could consider spilling every secret of hers. For example, what she had told Minato about her consort, Erebus.

And everything that she had said about him was true too.

She didn't particularly love Erebus as she used to. Nowadays she had spent many long millennia from him performing her duties as the bringer of the shadows that were cast at night by the carriages across the sky. That was right; her primary duty was to bring the shade of night to all places over the human world.

Ah, Tartarus and his rebellious tendencies.

Well that aside, with that time apart, she was more focused on what she was supposed to do than trying out some trivial lovemaking or something of the sort. He was almost like a kicked puppy in that respect, denied of everything that he wanted and needed.

But she honestly did think that the God of the everlasting dark would be much more tempered than she had figured. But that was her brother indeed. The dark was erratic after all.

In any case…

There was one last person that she had left from her thoughts to the last moment. And right now, she was trying to keep him off her mind because he had been particularly infuriating in the past few days. Nyx had no idea how he was able to get her so riled up when no-one else could. Junpei and Kenji were annoying. Kazushi and Akihiko were too focused on the one thing. Ken and Yashiro she could tolerate.

Minato, she had not many ideas about him, being the mystery that he was.

But Kanashi. Oh Kanashi. There were just too many times when she just wanted to try and unleash a spell on his head and send him down into the depths of the Underworld, Tartarus and into oblivion. He was that bad.

By some kind of trick…

Kanashi grinned as Minato told him that new piece of information. It was just so, so perfect. Nyx wouldn't know what hit her.

Once Kanashi got home, he got to exercise his fingers and sent Nyx a file. Once it was opened, he found all the information that he needed to absolutely humiliate her. It would be the best prank ever.

On his keyboard he typed: 'I love you Kanashi!', and clicked the send button with an ominous grin. After a while, he left the message to gather some likes and…

Logging on to his own account, he typed 'Sorry Nyx, but you're not my type.'

That humiliating notification on her Facebook wall was soon deleted, but what made her even angrier was what Kanashi said after all of it in some private messages so that no-one could see.

'I've had my fair share of bruises and insults throughout, but right now it isn't the same. Don't push me Nyx, because you now sure as hell know that I like to push back.'

Nyx gritted her teeth and obliterated her alarm clock.

"That prideful little bastard! What in the realms of Tartarus!?"

AN: Hopefully you guys enjoyed that last bit at the end of the chapter. That was FUN to think about, and I hope you guys think so too. Also, I'm glad that the OCs are starting to get some love. I wanted to start something since I figured that people don't know the OCs as well. So there's gonna be room for Q/A sections so you can ask stuff about Kanashi, Yashiro and Nyx. I'll start something off for Kanashi so you can see what I mean.

It was hard thinking of a situation so that Kanashi could finally get revenge on Nyx for knocking him unconscious. So a big 'thank you' from me to the one who helped me with it! He knows who he is, and I hope you feel proud of it! You terrible person! I'm joking, but seriously, a whole lot of thanks. Days of Darkness wouldn't be as funny without him.

As a last note, a good friend of mine wrote a little fight between our favourite OCs: Kanashi and Yashiro. The fic is called 'An Old Foe' and it's by Raidou the 16th. Go read it! It's good stuff. Makes me wish I could right fist fights like he does, haha.

Anyways, plz box me yo thoughts, and imma see ya guys later!

Imma see ya guys later.

Eivexst: Kinda does, doesn't it? It wasn't what I was going for actually but that's what came out. And yes. But worse.
Well yeah. It's a pretty expensive bike.

Nights: Of course! They're good at it! There wasn't as many battles as I thought there would be, but as you know, without them I wouldn't have gotten moving.
Yyyyup! It was fun to start. Mmhm. It'll be something to see, indeed…
Sure will.

Yoshikunitsu: Yeah, well… their main purpose is for something else. There's going to be one LAST one by the end of it all, and soon everything that I need to put down will come together.
There aren't any Shadows actually. Well, maybe one, but that's for another time.
Sure will!

PiColossus: Yay! I was hesitant as well, don't you worry about that. I've been soon learning that having solid and thought out OCs is important if you want them to have a real impact on the story.
(Wow. Haha, well. You see I CAN make longer chapters, but doing this in small snippets helps with the pacing of the story and is less stressful on me.)

Raidou: Something to figure out about Yashiro, ne? It's more for later. I will!

Q/A SECTION:

Question: Who are you based off of Kanashi?

Answer: What!? Me being based off of someone!? Bullshit! I'm my own person. But per se that there was someone just like me from another dimension or whatever shit you wanted to pull, I'd say that he'd be pretty awesome.
