Chapter 7 – Winter

Class ended as usual but the outside sky had turned dark. The weather was very cold and students were now required to wear the school jacket as part of the uniform. As I finished my class, Murasakibara approached me since we both had the same class.

"Let's go have something sweet." Murasakibara suggested that while chewing on 4 chewing gums. I don't think I had ever seen him without any sort of sugary confections. I agreed and we left to the nearest café.

Murasakibara sat beside me, trying to snuggle by firstly putting his arm over my shoulders. I stiffened right after but slowly relaxed my shoulders and calmed myself down. Both me and Atsushi ordered hot chocolate to warm ourselves.

While his arms were still at my shoulders, I rested my head over at his shoulders and closed my eyes to feel the warmth from him.

"Atsushi," while my eyes were still closed, "thank you."

"…Hm? What for…?"

"This."

I opened my eyes and saw the tiny blush Mura-kun had, although he had his usual sleepy face being a camouflage. I smiled widely and snuggled him close.

The waitress came and served our hot chocolate. It felt great after the drink. Mura-kun ended up ordering more cakes and chocolate drink. He said that I should eat more and willingly let me have his deserts, something that rarely happened.

"Are you sure, Atsushi? I can have some?" I am a fan of sweet cakes but I didn't order one because my money isn't enough.

"Un. Just eat any piece you want. Here, use my fork." He passed me his fork which he just used to eat the strawberry cake.

Then it occurred to me, it was his way of an indirect kiss.

Gladly, I cut a small piece of chocolate cake and put it into my mouth. I cut another small piece and fed Atsushi with it. He opened his mouth wide before receiving the chocolate piece. Mura-kun was enjoying this idea of me feeding him that he asked for extra piece of cake.

It was fun feeding each other with the same fork and Mura-kun finally asked for the bill. I offered to pay but he refused me, "It's alright. I'll pay everything."

"Eh?"

"You enjoyed yourself, didn't you? That makes me happy."

I looked away from him, although I can feel that my cheeks turning slight pink since I am trying to control my blush. After payment, we went outside and it was back to the gloomy cold weather again. Unconsciously, I wrapped my arms around Murasakibara's while walking. He looked at what I did, grinned and continued walking. It was just one of the many winters that I enjoyed, and look forward to.
