Chapter 22: Fall begins
The last term of high school began. I am getting nervous because I haven't truly decide if I want to study in Japan or America for university. My father insisted of me going to America but I have second doubts. I was lost in thought that I didn't hear Murasakibara-kun called me.
"Are you okay?"
"Un. I was just thinking, that's all."
"About what?"
Murasakibara licked his lollipop and looked at me. I smacked him lightly. He retorted.
"What's that for?"
I giggled. He was so cute with his expression.
"I like you."
"Oh."
Murasakibara looked away, his cheeks warmed. Wanting to change topic, I told him I wanted to go to a bookstore.
"Eh? That's a boring place."
"I want to buy books for reading."
"Can I wait outside?"
"I'll be quick because I know which title I will buy."
Murasakibara nodded and we walked side by side until we reached a bookstore. He looked around and saw a convenience store. Mura-kun decided to enter the store while I left him to the bookstore. I went straight to the cook book section and searched for a book on desserts making. I don't know how much time I have before he comes in (if he will!) so I picked a book and went straight to the cashier.
Having quickly paid and hide the book into my bag, I left the bookstore. To my relief, Murasakibara was standing outside the convenience store, munching on snacks. I went up to him.
"Sorry to keep you waiting!"
"Let's go."
Murasakibara sent me home. We gave each other a hug and a quick farewell kiss. I entered the apartment, feeling very happy and decided to make the best desserts for his upcoming birthday.
