AN: I know I said this last time but I will try to update more often. Expect updates on weekends because it will be so much easier for me to write because I'm not doing sports or school work or anything. Just thought that I should let you know. Also not this coming up weekend but the next I will be on a trip and I most likely wont have access to the internet and when I come back I'll be really tired but I will still try to give you an update that week. However, if I can't then I will give you a double update the following weekend. But on to the point as to why you're really here, here is the next chapter!

Chapter 3: At the Beach

It didn't take long to get to First Beach, maybe 5-10 minutes. When we got there it was raining,no surprise there, but I didn't care. I loved the rain. I didn't bother to put my hood up, I missed the rain so much. The four of us started walking down the beach in silence just enjoying our time together.

"Jake!"

I looked up and saw Sam and his friends Paul and Jared walking toward us. I liked Sam but I didn't really care for his friends the Man-Whore and his side kick Jared. I don't know why but I always knew that Paul was dangerous but for some reason, ever since I was 11 and Paul 12 I've had the biggest crush on him, but I would never tell him that. He doesn't even know that I exist because all he can think about is the next girl that he can get with. As far as I know, he has been with almost every girl on the Rez.

"Hey Sam."

"Well look what we have here, is this little miss Sarah or is it her hotter look-alike?" I just rolled my eyes and playfully punched Sam in the shoulder. I swear he always does that. The only reason he was like this was because he was dating my best friend Leah. Ever since we were little Sam has always been so serious and hardly ever had any fun, but when he meet Leah, he changed. I never even knew Sam could smile until he meet Leah.

"Yes Sam it is me. People can change a lot in 3 months, take you for example, I don't remember you being this tall or buff the last time I saw you."

"Yeah I filled out a little bit. Well lets go shall we?"

And with that the 7 of us started walking down the beach talking about random stuff. Once we reached a parking lot where the palefaces come in from I saw her in a van with two other girls and some guys. The girl I've hated since childhood.

Isabella Swan.

I started shaking again and I didn't know why. I didn't hear my brother or my friends calling my name, all I could hear was Bella's whineing little voice that has angered me so much over the years. I couldn't focus on anything until I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I looked up at the person who's had it belonged to and I realized that it was Paul's hand.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks." He smiled slightly and dropped his hand from my shoulder and I instently missed the warmth from it. Why did he affect me this way?

We made are way to the van, much to my annoyance, and talked to Bella and her friends. They all greated us. Correction, they all greated us except for Bella who only talked to Jake and ignored the rest of us, especcialy me. Was that supposed to hurt? It didn't.

"Bella," Jake said excitedly. Ugh, can he be anymore obvious. Ever since we were little he's had this obsession with her that I don't understand at all. How can my little brother be in love with a girl like her? I'll never understand boys, especially not my brother.

"Jacob. Guys this is Jacob."

"Hey guys how you doing?" Wow. That's a lot of vocabulary I can hardly keep up.

"What are you like stocking me?" I scoffed at that and Quil playfully elbowed me in the ribs. Bella just glared at me and went back to her own little world with Jacob who didn't even notice the glare. Gosh he can be so oblivious sometimes. Scratch that, all the time.

"You're on my Rez remember." It took everything in my not to gag.

"So are you surfing?" Bella Swan surfing? That would be a sight to see considering the girl trips on thin air.

"Definently not."

"You guys should keep Bella company, her date bailed." I looked to the other burenett in shock. Bella had a date, poor guy. But smart if he bailed on her. The Asian boy must of been just as surpised as me because then he shouts,

"What date?!"

"She invited Edward." Edward Cullen. The only single in that freak of a family. Gotta give props to the boy though if he ditch Bella like that.

There was something about the Cullen's though that worried me. It was just a feeling but it was there. I had first meet them when I went to my yearly check-up Forks hospital. My usual doctor was out sick so I had to wait for the next free doctor which so happened to be Dr. Cullen.

When I first saw him I immediently noticed something different about him, and not in a good way.

Flashback:

I was waiting in one of the only free rooms for my yearly check-up. As I waited I thought about my dad and how odd he's been acting lately, him and all of the elders. For the past week or so they have been having secrets meetings and every time one of the guys or I got close they would play it off as if they just weren't talking about something in secret.

"Hello Sarah. How are you feeling today?" I looked up at the voice that pulled me out of my thoughts and found a man with blonde hair and gold eyes that looked to be about in his late 20's. Was he even old enough to be a doctor?

"I'm good. You?"

"I'm doing well thank you."

During the check-up I noticed some odd things about him. One being that he was as cold as ice and he didn't seem to notice. I asked him about it and he said that it was cold in the room. It wasn't cold in the room at all but I decided not to push him about it because I could tell just by looking at him that if I asked I wouldn't like the answer. After the check-up Dr. Cullen was walking me out of the room when a guy about a year or two older than me came out of nowhere.

"Car-Dad. Sorry I didn't realize that you were with someone. I'll wait." The guy had reddish-brown hair that was all over the place on his head.

"Its fine Edward, we just finished. Sarah, this is my adopted son Edward. Edward, this is Sarah, she's one of my patients."

"It's nice to meet you Sarah."

"You too." Something didn't feel right. Dr. Cullen said that he was adopted, but they both have the same eyes, the exact same. That shouldn't be possible. I wanted to ask but something told me knowing was worse then not knowing so I left it alone. When I was leaving I looked back and saw that they were both staring at me. Right then I knew something was wrong and I had a feeling that it was going to affect a lot of people.

End Flashback

"To be polite, that's it." Yeah right. I could see the gears turning in her head and the slight smirk on her face.

"I think its nice that she invited him, nobody ever does." I turned to look at the girl with the black hair. This surprised me. I would of thought that someone like Edward would invited to a lot of things. Guess the palefaces also see him as a freak.

"Yeah cuz Cullen's a freak." Guess I got my answer.

"You got that right," Sam said. Bella turned to him with a slight glare before masking her face with innocence. Gosh she can also be so obvious.

"You guys know him?"

"The Cullen's don't come here." I beat Sam to the punch before he could say it. Bella looked at me like it was the first time she noticed me standing there. Judging by the look on her face I guess she didn't like that I spoke at all. Well sorry that I'm trying to inform you on something, I wont do it ever again.

There was a long akwared silence before Jake and Bella decided to walk off by themselves. The rest of us stayed behind them seen as they were heading back to the truck. Oh he better not be planning what I think he is.

"So Bella do you need a ride home?" WHY?! Why did my annoying little brother have to ask that! I will not get in the same car as her.

"Yeah that would be great."

"Well we're gonna take off. See you guys later." Sam, Jared and Paul started to walk off and I realized that I'm gonna have to get in the same car as Bella and it was gonna be hell. Great.

The entire way to Bella's house was awakward silence which Bella didn't seem to notice considering that she was stuck in her own little world. After dropping Bella off the mood got lighter and we all just started talking about random stuff.

"Hey what did you talk to Bella about when you to were alone?" Quil, I swear I will kill you one day. I really don't need to hear about my brothers crush on the Bitch, I mean Bella.

"She asked what Sarah ment when she said 'the Cullen's don't come here.'"

"What did you say?"

"I told her that they were desents from an enemy tribe-"

"And that they were Cold One's and our great grandfather made a treaty with them I'm guessing." I cut him off.

"Yeah."

It was quiet again until we dropped the guys off. When we got home I tried to open the door but Jake locked the door.

"Jake what are you doing?"

"Sarah, I know I don't as much from you but can you please try and be nice to Bella while she's here?"

"Jake you cant seriously be asking m-"

"Please?" He looked at me with puppy dog eyes. Damn him. He kows I cant say no to him when he does that.

"Fine." He grinned at me, ruffled my hair and got out of the car. I huffed and thought about the deal I just made and I think it will kill me. I can't be nice to her, my genes just wont let me.

I walked inside the house but stopped dead in my tracks when I heard my dad talking.

"This can't be possible. It hasn't happened to any girls in our tribe so why now? Why Sarah and Leah?" I stayed as quiet as possible and inched closer to the kitchen. I risked a glance and saw that the entire Council was in my kitchen. What the?

"I don't know but we can't question the spirts Billy. They chose Sarah and Leah for a reason and we have to help them find those reasons." Aunt Sue said this. What in the world were they talking about? What did the spirts choose Leah and I for?

"I know Sue but, this gift is also a curse. Many have died because of this I don't think I can handle loosing another member of my family. Not Sarah. Especially not after her mother died. I just can't." What were they talking about? What did this have to do with mom?

"You wont lose her Billy. Who ever else is blessed with this will protect her."

After that the Council disbanded and I quickly and quietly made my way to my room so I wouldn't get caught. When I shut the door I couldn't help but think about what they just talked about. Gift? Curse? People dying? Me dying? It didn't make sense.

What was going on?
