Chapter 31: A Trip
When Murasakibara suddenly asked if I wanted to go on a trip with him to Hokkaido. I was slightly being taken aback, but feeling happy that he asked. When I asked him for what purpose, he replied, "I want to get all the sakura-limited snacks in Hokkaido and you can help me carry the bags."
"Why not just order online?" I asked.
"Well... It wouldn't be fun buying online."
"But didn't you always do?"
Mura-kun's cheeks turned slightly pink. I like to tease him sometimes even though I knew the real reason why we are going to Hokkaido.
"I… Let's spend time together, away from Tokyo."
Murasakibara and I decided to fly to Hokkaido for 4 days 3 nights trip. There is still time to catch the last sakura season. I had always loved the sakura blooming season. Tokyo is always crowded but Hokkaido may not be as much.
As a courtesy to my dad, we stayed at the 5-star hotel. The suite was luxurious and we can see the city view. Even from the balcony I spotted many sakura trees. I got excited like a child.
"Atsushi, let's go to the park!"
"Oh… Can I stop by for snacks?"
"Sure!"
I bought an extra bag just in case the two bags Mura-kun bought isn't enough. I wasn't surprised when we came out with 4 bags instead, most if not, sakura-flavored snacks. The snacks ranged from sakura flavored chocolate to biscuits. I bought Sakura milk tea for our drinks.
We walked about 5 minutes to a park. Thankfully the crowd isn't as much as Tokyo's. We settled on a picnic table. As Atsushi was taking out the snacks from the bag, I snapped a picture of him doing so. He looked at me for a while, before resuming. The table now feels like a sweets buffet. We started to snack on the various items.
Anytime Murasakibara is eating Pocky, he would force me to play the pocky game. It was slightly embarrassing at first, knowing that when we reach almost the end of the chocolate stick, one of us will kiss the other. I tried to ignore anyone who might have watched us displaying a bit too much of affection in public. Atsushi seemed to enjoy it a bit too much.
It was slightly chilly and I asked Atsushi if he wanted to go back to the hotel. Murasakibara refused to leave, and wanted to stay at the park a little longer. I was feeling cold so I wrapped my arms around his for warmth. It doesn't help that I was wearing a mini skirt. I was resting and closed my eyes. I thought I heard Atsushi was calling me but was very drowsy to respond.
