Chapter 23

Lucy's POV

Virgo and myself kept running away from the battle that was presumed to happen between Mystogan and the two dragon slayers. Little did we know, Mystogan wasn't battling the both of them instead only one of them since one of them was following tail behind us so I didn't hesitate to take a pause to catch my breath.

"Virgo, wait!" I whisper shouted as I grabbed the wall for support that line up the corridor of castle.

I heard sudden silence which most probably indicated to me that Virgo had stopped running also. I looked down as I tried to catch my breath though my heavy panting wasn't helping much.

"Hime are you alright?" Virgo asked and that is when I was finally able to breathe properly again.

"I'm fine." I huffed out one last breath before I decided to look up at Virgo. "I'm better now. Thanks for-" And that is when I saw someone was approaching from her behind. My eyes went wide and I don't know why my voice wouldn't come out as if it got stuck in my throat.

"Hime?" Suddenly I got a better look at the approaching person's face and it was the blond dragon slayer.

"Virgo!"

Virgo turned around and it was too late for her to react that she got punched in her gut by the blond dragon slayer's magic, sending her flying back and then finally skidding on the floor. I was too shocked but that didn't stopped me from running towards her and dropping to her side as I held her.

"Virgo! Virgo!" I couldn't help but to scream for her and tears were already threatening to fall from my eyes. She was like a sister to me so if she were to die because of me, I wouldn't know how to forgive myself.

"Hime…" Virgo began stirring and slowly she opened her eyes. I felt relieved that I knew she was alright which made me almost forgot the presence of the person who actually got her into this situation.

I heard sudden clapping as it approached closer to me. I looked up and saw that the blond dragon slayer was walking towards us as he clapped his hands.

"Amazing. She is still alive after I gave her my dragon's punch." He stopped walking and stood in front of us as he moved his hands into his pockets.

I tighten my grip around Virgo as I looked down. To be honest, I was scared and my tears were already starting to trail my cheeks but I couldn't show him that I was.

"What do you want from me?" I finally plucked up my courage as I raised a question to him

"You?" He scoffed before continuing again. "I don't want you. I want your father and the only way to get him out from hiding is by holding his only every child hostage. Isn't that right?"

When I heard that, I just had to face him to give him my deathliest glare. At that point, I didn't care if he could see my tears trail on my cheeks. How could anyone be so cold hearted bastard?

"What the hell do you want him for?"

"I don't want him actually. I want him dead because of him, we can't live freely since he hated us dragon slayers very much. With him gone, we can finally live our lives un-scared." He said as he balled his hands into fists at his side.

After hearing her reason out, I actually had a soft spot for him. They were like Natsu. All of them wanted a life like normal human beings but that wasn't good enough for them to go to such extreme.

"I understand your situation but that doesn't give you any right to do such thing." I replied him back.

"Who cares whether it's right or not. Once he's out, we can do all we want."

"Bastard." I muttered as I knew he could hear me very well. Since he was a dragon slayer like Natsu, their senses were two times better than normal human beings.

He laughed out evilly before commenting. "Do you know that I heard you very well?"

"I know and I didn't care." My eyes not failing to give way to meet those blue eyes of his.

"Feisty, I like. My kind of woman actually." He said before smiling evilly that I could see his fangs. He started to walk towards me and I didn't do anything to run away because the least I could do was be there for Virgo. I didn't want him attacking her again but I was wrong. He wasn't going for her instead for me.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me up hard and away from Virgo. I started kicking and trying my best to pull away from his grasp but it seems it wasn't even affecting him a bit. I didn't know where the hell he was pulling me away until he kicked one of the room door open and threw me onto the ground.

He hovered above me since my back was facing him and he started to move his hands up my thighs. "You won't be bitching much after I made you my mate won't we?" He whispered at my ear.

I couldn't help but to tear up freely and screamed as I heard my dress was getting torn up slowly.

Natsu's POV

I was running down the halls of the castle's corridors as I tried to pick up Lucy's scent. Loki was following behind me in pursuit. The thing was Lucy's scent was all over the place. When I thought Lucy would be there, after turning the corner we saw Capricorn lying on the floor. The place was in a mess!

"Capricorn!" Loki shouted as he ran over to him.

"Loki?" I could see Capricorn stirred up as he tried to pry his eyes opened.

"What the hell happened here? How could you be beaten down so easily man?" Loki asked as he kneeled beside him.

"Them…" Capricorn slowly tried to push himself up with his elbows. "There were two dragon slayers here."

What? I was literally shocked upon hearing the information. Two dragon slayers?

"Natsu, you must stop them." Capricorn said before he got back down since he failed to get up with his elbows.

I got down to my knees before grabbing Capricorn by his collar.

"Oi Natsu!" Loki shouted as he tried to pull me away from Capricorn.

"Where's Lucy? Is she safe?" I asked desperately as I looked dead into his eyes.

Capricorn looked away before he answered me. "Virgo's with her. You need to hurry."

I let go of his collar before standing up. "Loki, you stay here with Capricorn." Before Loki could even answered me, I made a dash down the halls and followed her scent deeply. I even propelled my fists backwards so I could light them on fire to give myself a boost.

All my mind told me was to hurry. I knew deep down in my heart and even on my senses that Lucy was in trouble. Thank God she wasn't alone but still, Virgo wasn't a fighter.

Suddenly I slowed down as I saw someone lying on the floor unconscious. When I finally got closer and got a good look at the person's face, I immediately ran to her side.

I picked her up and started shouting.

"Virgo! Virgo!" She stirred which it was a good sign that she was still alive but my mind was in a panic state right now. If Virgo was here, where was Lucy? And then, I strained my ears when I heard screams. Lucy!

I let go of Virgo and ran to where the screams were coming from. My stomach was churning up as I started to pick up Lucy's scent getting mixed with someone else. It was making me going frantic so when I arrived outside the room that Lucy's scent was coming from and even her screams, I immediately kicked the door open and to my horror, I saw Lucy was on the verge of getting raped.

"GET AWAY FROM LUCY YOU BASTARD!" I yelled and kicked the mother fucker away, sending him flying to the side.

Lucy started to gather herself and I could see she was trying to get away since she was freed. I quickly went to her but only to get pushed away. She was almost totally naked so I don't blame her for being scared at the moment to be touched by any guy right now.

"Lucy, Lucy, it's me!" I whispered shouted while I grabbed her face and cupped both sides of her cheeks so that she could get a good look at me before scramming away.

"Natsu?" Lucy questioned as tears continued to run down on my hands this time instead since I was blocking the path for her tears to run down her cheeks.

"Yes Luce. It's me." I paused before continuing so that I could let her process. "It's me, Natsu." I answered back with giving her my signature smile this time.

"Oh Natsu!" Lucy immediately threw her arms around me as she continued to cry on my chest. "I thought- I thought I was-"

"Shh. It's alright Lucy. I'm with you now." I cut her off because I didn't want her to remember whatever happened or what was going to happened to her earlier. I kept giving her kisses on top of her head while I said comforting words as I hugged her tightly close to me.

The moment just had to break as I heard some shuffling at the side. I looked to my left and saw the man who was the cause of Lucy's trauma standing up from my hit. It was pretty messed up as I actually sent him crashing to the wall.

"My, my." He commented as he rubbed his head. "The prince came in time to save the day."

I immediately took off my shirt so that I can put over Lucy before standing up. "You bastard. You're going pay for what you did to Lucy." I said before hitting my fist against my palm and giving him my deathliest glare.

He whistled. "Nice scars you have there on your body buddy. Where did you get them? Sword fighting?"

"No…" I paused before lighting my whole body on fire. "I'm actually a dragon slayer, like yourself." I ended with an evil smile.

I couldn't help but to smirk when I saw the shocked expression on his face.

"Well, well. I guess this is going to be battle of the year don't ya think?" The blond dragon slayer said as he cracked his knuckles.

"You better pray." I said and both of us charged at each other as we used our dragon slayer powers.
