"Boylan, what the hell do you think you are doing mister. Get your arse back in that bed!"

Gabriel demanded as she came into Boylan's room to find the patient in question trying his dammedest to get out of the bed that he had spent the previous few days in.

"Woman if you must know, I am going on the rescue mission that Taylor has organised to get young Ryan back from the bastards who have taken him."

Gabriel studied the man who despite his attempts to get out of the bed he had found himself confined to for the last few days suddenly found his body again defying him yet again.

"Oh yeah it looks like you are getting a long way mister, I do not think so! What help are you going to be to get young Ryan back, heh! I can tell you right now that you are going nowhere mister, if you manage to get to the door of this room it will be a miracle and as for your imagination that you are going to be any use when it comes to rescuing young Ryan Mitchell then you are very mistaken mister."

Boylan glared at the nurse who for the last few days had managed to get under his skin, no other woman had managed that except one Alicia Washington and he again attempted to make his way off of the bed to which he had found himself confined for the last few days but all he managed to do was land himself on the floor.

Gabriel stood over him smirking at his predicament her arms crossed and an eyebrow rose as she studied him on the floor.

"Oh yeah it looks like you are going a long way mister."

Boylan growled at the nurse from his place on the floor annoyed as hell that his body would not work for him and make him look weak in front of a woman who if he was honest with himself he found somewhat intriguing not that he was going to admit it of course.

Gabriel moved to help him back onto the bed despite the look of angry disdain he gave her; she was used to dealing with guys like Boylan who would not admit what was good for them. However she had always managed to get her own way with them one way or another her previous training had always come in useful and again she wondered how her previous training would be seen by those of the colony if they truly knew what her past had been, she was certain that many of them would not have been so accepting of her had they truly known what she had once been.

"I can't just lay here I got to help get Ryan back."

Gabriel smiled grimly at Boylan's words knowing he felt responsible for young Ryan being taken but she also knew it would do him and Boylan no good if the man she was presently helping to lie back on the bed collapsed on the rescue mission, it would do neither the two of them any good or the rest of the rescue team instead it would put them all at risk and with this thought she made her decision. Reaching into a pocket as she laid Boylan safety back onto the bed she pulled out the hypo syringe filled with a powerful sedative that she had prepared just in case she would need it in persuading Boylan to stay put and before he knew what was happening he was falling once more into unconsciousness as the sedative took effect.

"Don't you worry Boylan I wasn't always a nurse and we will get young Ryan back this I promise you."

Gabriel pulled the blanket up to Boylan's chin tucking it in briefly palming his cheek as she gazed at the man she knew was going to be hers and then departed the room, she had to get to the rendezvous point and meet with the rest of her team before Taylor and the rest of the rescue team got to the area where she knew Ryan was being held.

It was still early and a light drizzle was falling when a number of military personal and a few civilians gathered besides two rovers preparing to leave the colony. All those going on the rescue mission were volunteers, Taylor had not wanted in include any who he knew was not in particular favour of getting young Ryan back and he knew there more than a few amongst the military that felt that young Ryan should have been at least banished from the colony following the Phoenix occupation but the two soldiers who had stepped forward to volunteer he knew and he Ryan did as well. He had not been at all surprised when Reynolds had stepped forward but a little surprised when Corporal Ennis had but then he remembered that the corporal had been held with Ryan in the brig during the occupation and had been one of the few soldiers who had not outright condemned the young man after he had been punished by Taylor.

Ennis was packing gear in the second of the rovers and Reynolds was helping him Taylor turned to where Jim Shannon was talking to another civilian a man who he thought he knew but was unsure about, he had seen him a few times when he had gone to meet with Ryan at Boylan's bar and it took him a moment or two before the man's name clicked in his brain, his name was Tom and f he remembered correctly he worked with young Ryan in the hydroponics section and in fact had become good friends with his son he recalled.

"Everything is ready sir." Reynolds addressed him.

Jim turned from Tom at Reynolds words and said goodbye to the man as he joined the commander and the two soldiers by the rovers, he was going to be travelling in the first rover with Taylor. Taylor nodded to Reynolds who returned to the second rover and got in the passenger seat.

"Commander are you sure this is a good idea you going, you are needed here at the colony I could command the rescue mission and bring Ryan back Sir."

Guzman addressed the commander with his concerns about him going although he knew as a father himself that the commander would not hand the mission over to him but he felt that as the commander of the colony then Taylor should assign this mission to someone else.

"I know you think that I should assign this mission to someone else Guz but I have to do this, Ryan is my son and I owe it to him to get him back and frankly if it was your Tasha who was taken would you take a back seat and allow someone else to rescue her. I don't think you would my friend and therefore I can't and won't let someone else go in and get Ryan."

Guzman nodded at the commanders words he was right he thought, if Tasha had been taken there would be nothing to stop him going in to rescue her and so he to a point understood the commanders words but something was niggling at the back of his neck, something felt wrong and he could not get rid of the feeling that the commander and the team with him was walking into a trap.

"We'll be back before you know it Guz and if not take care of the colony."

Jim started the rover up as the commander hauled himself into it and the two rovers made their way towards the main gate a few early risen colonists watching them as they left and to one side leaning against a wall and hidden amongst the shadows of the wall, a single man who raised a small communicator to his lips speaking quietly into it so no one could hear him.

"Judas to Phoenix come in over. Taylor with a rescue party has just left the main gate and is on his way to your outpost I repeat Taylor and a small rescue party are on their way."

A/N: The plot thickens again! Just who is Judas? Will the rescue team manage to rescue young Ryan and not be captured by the Phoenix mercenaries and just who or what is Gabriel and her team, and are they on the side of the colonists or are they on the side of the Phoenix group.
