Hidden – Clint Barton
I stayed hidden in the shadows of the alleyway where I could see the battle that was taking place. I watched the Avengers fight and saw Hawkeye there on top of a roof. It made me smile a little to see he was back to his full self, I never did like Loki that much; I was only with him because Clint had been brainwashed into helping him. My eyes widened as my hiding spot was found by some Chitauri and I ran out to find another.
I was grabbed from behind by a Chitauri and placed my hand on its chest, poisoning it so I was released from its grip. I started running again, but soon found myself surrounded by the strange creatures; making me cower back. This is why I never liked the fighting; this is why I kept hidden. I couldn't protect myself that much, only when I could touch the enemy was when I had the power of poisoning.
A succession of arrows flew around me, missing me completely and piercing into the che4sts of the Chitauri around me; making me look around to see where they had come from. I knew it was the work of Hawkeye, but I couldn't seem to spot him anywhere.
"I haven't seen you in a while." I jumped and spun around to see Clint standing behind me, bow in hand with another arrow notched as he looked down at me; a small smile gracing his lips. My heart lurched as I took in the sight of him, imprinting every single detail in my brain. "What are you doing out in the open? You usually stick to the shadows."
"My hiding space was found." I grumbled, making him chuckle as he knew I hated it when that happened.
I noticed a small scrape on the side of his shoulder and cupped my palm around it, making a light gold aura fill the space and heal him. He ruffled my hair before I lunged past him to touch the Chitauri that had snuck up on him from behind, making him screech as the poison flowed through his heart before it dropped dead.
"Guess I'm lucky you weren't hidden then, huh?" Clint smiled, making me blush lightly before he ran off into the battle again; leaving me to find a new hiding space so I could watch over him.
