Chapter 7: The invasion
Hi pals, how are ya. You know I really don't want to be the type of writer that has to Bribe and debase himself for reviews….. but you left me no choice. Whoever gives me the longest review will get to alter the story n some way, something simple a small paradigm that can either be inconsequential or game changing to the story at large, but it has to be a review… not a 'I'm typing this so I can win the contest' BS. Think before you type. If you want to just review go right ahead as long as I can get some reviews in that would be great. And FYI in this fic a Colonel is in charge of an entire cities defenses.
:::: ATTENTION ANY AND ALL ARTISTS:::::
I am currently looking for someone to draw up a flag for the Mojave, Military suits and yes even Agvir himself… if you are interested PM with some ideas and we'll talk from there, it could be one person, it could be two people, hell it could even be three people starts sketching out some ideas (Make sure you have email and someway of converting your work to digital. But please it would be really cool to see this come to life, don't'cha think?
I own none except that which I create.
Please excuse the many Authors insets.

Far east of New Vegas the Mojave and the Dam a squad of 4 rangers were climbing and clambering their way up a steep Butte in the sweltering wasteland heat. Their feet dig into the hard tan rock and bits of rock and pebble fall down to the bushlands below. When they reach the top of the massive spire they reach around their backs and pull their rifles out zeroing in on a massive air base that's been set up in the close distance. One of the men pulls out a radio and switches in to a nearby farm that was abandoned, the inside is completely empty but the basement is a veritable machination a radios Morse receivers and guns. The rangers scope in on various parts of the Air field noting things like colour, planes the massive stockpiles of Bombs they have lying nearby aircraft and the vehicles busying themselves around the airfield fueling engines, putting Bombs on and loading guns.
"There doesn't look to be any personnel around." A black ranger named Mark (With a voice like Lee from the walking dead game) mentions. "No flight personnel, nothing, it doesn't make sense!"
"Hold on! There they are coming out of the big compound. Easily 5000 of them." Ranger Mark pans his scope over to the area.
"They're all in flightsuits… I wonder-"
"Sir south of the runway we've got planes taking off!" a Ranger says quickly. The other two whip their heads around to see 100 planes taking off from the runway.
"Radio it in Kert" Mark says to the radio man. The remaining three lie down on their bellies Mark in the middle, his rifle out a bit further and the other two snipers on his flanks they all attach silencers and flash suppressors to their rifles. The radio man starts frantically sending in a warning to the Farm Outpost. "Aim for the Engines or their wheels. Don't let em know we're here." The men take careful aim.
"I got the first one taking off at roughly 100mph." the Ranger to his right said.
"Taking the shot." Mark said softly zooming in on his target. His index finger plays with the cold metallic trigger, he pulls the shot goes soaring through the sky smacking into the face side of the nearest engine. The propeller flies off and digs into the engine chassis on the same side (Wing mates?) the plane pitches to its right as its taking off. It's coming towards them, hurtling through the air.
"Get off, go now get off!" "Mark says as the radio man jumps off and over the side of the Butte, falling to his death. Mark slides down and grabs onto the ledge as the plane crashes into the formation jolting it and rocking it a fire burns on the top of the Butte, the tail of the plane sticking out into the overwhelming heat, the scent of gas dripping on the sandy turf. Mark pokes his head up and crawls back on top of the rock; he then takes his gun out and walks toward the tail. He kicks the bomb bay doors open with his strong boot, he can see 4000lbs of bombs loaded and ready for a battle. Mark hears a rattling noise coming from the tail gun he walks back outside and looks into the crash site. A single man, bloodied and legs torn from his body, is in the tail with a pistol moaning and crawling forward with his hands. Mark looks away out of shock, when he looks back the man has his pistol aimed at the gas canisters.
"W-" Mark starts, as soon as he opens his mouth the man fires at the canisters blowing the entire Rocky pillar crumbling to the ground.

300 miles away in the 'Capital Building' of the Mojave Jonathan Agvir sits with Boone, Pearl, Veronica, Gen. Hsu and Gen Moore of the NCR. Outside in the great city, all was quiet machine gun nests panned across the blue sky looking for anything potentially foul. Troops paced the streets in a slow methodic march, the last of the Civilians evacuating to the North in a well-fortified Jamestown, later on historians would decide that Jamestown was one of the best fortified fortress in History. People were milling about in the commons walk area a feeling of dread hung through the air as kids were playing with sticks and rocks. The super mutants were standing nearby the walls with .50 cal MGs watching the sky and the only road in sight. Down by Searchlight and Camp Searchlight several rangers were poking around in the buildings looking for any supplies and ammo that might've been left behind. A slight hum filled the air the rangers looked up and saw massive planes flying low in the air. The rangers run up the hill to go back to their base and radio it in when they suddenly saw over 2 thousand boats crossing the river in a slow methodical speed. The rangers run up to the Ranger Station and ammo up as the radio man frantically calls the situation into the Lucky .38.
At the 38 the council members that were there were sitting at the Councils table eating a pot roast, Agvir was leaning back sucking on a lit cigarette as Boone came in with a radio in his hand looking shaky. Agvir quickly stood up snuffing out the deathstick and walks over to his best friend.
"Craig, what's the problem?" Agvir said putting his arm around him.
"C-Cass is- shes- Pregnant." Boone says shockedly looking panicked. Agvir shouts and pulls him into a massive hug.
"Congrats man!" Agvir shouts popping a bottle of wine, pouring it for himself, Boone and everyone else. "To Boone and Cass, may your child be healthy and strong." Everyone clinks their glasses together and drinks up. Far off in the distance a low growl is heard from Novac. The piercing wail of the early warning system has gone off and all the troops in Novac have set up defenses around the city. Col. Micheals the garrison commander of Novac, (Formerly of the 12th Novac) was up in the T-Rex looking south toward Searchlight looking out on the southern Horizon towards dust-clouds rising in the air.
"Get any remaining civilians and have them Evac to the Rep-Con test site, there shouldn't be many," He says to a sergeant next to him. "Send Sgt. Larson's C.Q.C. team with them; have them remain quiet and outta sight." The sergeant runs off and tells them. "Have any remaining troops set up mines and IEDs in the town and on the roads. If they enter the buildings I want it going off." A squad of NCR Veteran Ranges came jogging from a tall mountainous area near the road leading to Rep-Con.
"Sir," The Ranger salutes informally. "The Brigade is roughly 2 hours away from Novac, we saw them climbing the hill from Camp Searchlight. It looks like they're going to set up an FOB near there and push on from there."
"Any hardware?" Michaels asks flicking several rounds into his .308 clip.
"Standard infantry weapons, Rifles, Submachine guns and Shotguns, they do however have Tanks which could be a dangerous but it looks like they want to conglomerate them. If we're gunna do something I suggest that we do it now." The Ranger says as his bulletproof glass visor shines red in the early Mojave sun.
"Alright, I need you to go with Larson's CQC team to RepCon, set up a couple of mines and head down into the basement sub level. Take as much food as you need." Micheals says to the Rangers who nods and marches off. "all of the rest of you Mojave Forces lot listen up pack up and get ready for fast Evac to black mountain we leave in 5 mikes." After he says that the men scramble and pack up ammo, explosives and food and march across the wastes to the Radscorp pass. Lying mines in the pass proper to deter any infantry movement. "Someone radio it in to the Capital."
"Jon, Michaels Evac'd the Novac garrison to the fortifications at Black Mountain, Reports of tanks and infantry coming in from Camp Searchlight." Boone said turning the radio up a bit and clipping It to his waist.
"Pearl see if you can get a drone down there and cluster bomb them disable anything." Agvir says quickly. Pearl crosses to a radio and calls it in. "Julie, take your crew and head to Jamestown, set up a triage center on the way." Agvir says holding her hands and putting his forehead on hers.
"J-Jon, be careful." Julie muttered to Agvir.
"You know me, I always am." Jon says kissing her passionately. " Go hurry!" he says as Julie walks out of the room tearful, the young President looks back at her mournfully, like this was the last time he'd see her.
"Hotel 38, this is Echo one Bravo! We have multiple aerial enemies inbound to our location, Over!" a radio squaked. Pearl paled E1B was the Boomers at Nellis.
"Pearl, go to the Boomers and hold the fort for as long as you can, buy us any time you can." Jon says as people are franticly walking from computer and radio to the massive map of the Mojave decorated with blue, green, red and now orange being placed on the massive burgundy coloured conference table. Jon looks around and runs after Pearl.
"Hey, Pearl! Do you have what I asked you to bring?" Jon asked as they were heading down the elevator
"Jon I told you I don't approve of this method of warfare." Pearl says facing up to Jon
"Pearl this is only the last resort." Agvir says
"No! Jon this isn't the way there has to be something else we can do-"Pearl says tearfully
"Pearl! This is my decision this is how the final card will be played! This is my wild card ok?" the door of the elevator opens up and Agvir walks out in the cleaned up lobby. Pearl walks out coming close to Agvir.
"Here it is, Mr. President." Pearl says indicating a large crate, staring at Agvir with tears welling in her eyes.
"Thank you Pearl, I appreciate this." Agvir opens the crate and tinkers around inside of it. Pearl hugs Jon Agvir hug.
"If I don't see you again Jon, Goodbye." Pearl releases the hug and Pearl walked out of the Capital.
"Goodbye, Pearl. " Jon lugs the crate to the side of the room and drops it down and heads up the elevator.
Whence at the meeting room Jon goes up to Boone and stands next to him arms crossed looking out the window at the dustclouds in the far distance, they look down at Camp McCarran, the McCarran plains (the flat-ish land near the airport going into Vegas) and the growing fields near coming out of the I-15 area. Lines of trenches had been dug into the ground there were Mg nests propped up barbed wire stretched for 10 yards starting a mile away from the I-88 Stop (Where the hills come closest together) the trenches stretched from base of the hills all the way to the road. The road remained intact with Mojave soldiers walking on and around it. Mines were set up in front of the trench lines and guns were being set and locked. C-4 was being placed along the roads and the detonator was given to the C.O. of the trench line under the express orders to detonate upon retreat.
"Sirs, a ranger group out of Charlie ranger station has reported the following, 'The enemy forces have split and are moving off one half towards our AO and the other are headed up west more likely up towards Primm.'" A man at the radio bellows across the room.
"Look!" Veronica shouts, presses up on the glass. "Down on I-15" everyone runs to the window and peers out. Coming out of the Quarry 'Valley were c. 200 civilians making their way to New Vegas, men, women and children were making their way down the low slope slowly. Agvir sees a white-clothed form running from the trench onto the road sprinting towards the group.
"Julie… it's Julie" Was murmured in the conference room. Jon's eyes widen he grabs the hunting rifle off of Boone's back and peers into the scope sure enough Julie Farkas was running towards the group of injured civilians identifiable by her Mohawk. Agvir pans the scope up to the civilains and noticed a small blinking red light on the ones wearing backpacks. Jon hands the gun back to Boone.
"Look at the ones with Backpacks or rucksacks, what do you make of them?" Agvir asked the pro-sniper.
"Something wrong… the civs aren't running they're walking like an idle ghoul." Boone says scanning the shuffling crowd. "Looks like C-4… Jon, in the back there are a couple of men… they're pointing their guns at the crowd." Jon Agvir leaves the room going to an adjacent room filled with guns. The civs were making their way to the Trench lines with several men dressed up as Civilians moving them closer with guns pointing at the Civs. Jon walks back in carrying a massive silver Anti-Material rifle in tow; he also had his (unscoped) hunting rifle on his back.
"Let's head to the roof, get a better vantage point." Jon said holding the rifle with a childish smirk on his face. "Hsu, radio into that line and stop anyone from going to those civilians." He said as he was backing his way through a door and climbing the spiral staircase to the roof.
"Hey Jon, question for ya?" Boone asked flying up the stairs.
"Shoot." Jon said
"Why is it that our armies and the NCR armies use Semi-Auto fire guns? Like, why do we issue rifles for our men instead of sub-machine guns and Heavy Machine Guns?" Boone asked as they were walking up the stairs, Agvir ponders this
"Well, I think it's because of geography," Agvir states "If you look at the Mojave and California, both are rather hilly and while you can have Mgs or Sub-Mgs they aren't as cost effective as rifles or semi auto, and it's logic too why fire five to ten rounds to kill one guy, when one bullet can get the job done quick and clean." The two climb a low wall (Step Jump to the Army of TWO fans) to the flat roof top. When they get up top they sprint towards the side of the tower the crowd is walking up on, the two dive to the rough and sticky rooftop. Agvir shrugs off the rifle and pulls back on the cocking mechanism, he then cracks his neck to the left and right and peers through the scope. Boone takes out the binoculars from his right hip and looks down onto the crowd, he then takes out a small radio and tunes it.
"Attention, Attention! Ruby trenches, South side trench! Hold civilians, lives at stake, this is Hotel 38 command, over!" Boone says into the radio which crackles with static.
"This is Ruby 1-Gold, Copy that Hotel three-eight holding civs." The radio grumbles through the sights Agvir and Boone see 5 guards rush out and hold the civs at gunpoint waving them backwards, they slowly comply.
Boone looks at the crowd for anyone suspicious, looking for odd quirks or guns in hands.
"Two options Jon, hit the C4 and kill all threats, or take out the handlers and hope to god they don't have dead man switches." Boone mentions in his soft and incredibly terrifying voice. "What do you want to do Jon?"
"Can you find anyone for me to target? If you can't then we have to do option two." The graying-haired president states. Boone's binoculars cut through the crowd.
"I-I can't find anyone Jon they're too well hidden." Boone's voice cracks, Jon's eyes break from the scope to look at Boone, a look of compassion and slight rage in his eyes.
"I need you man, don't cave in on me." Agvir says shortly. "Look again!"
"They're civs though, Jon" Boone says his voice and pulse rising. "We have to find another way."
"Will it be the worst thing you've done, Craig?!" Jon shouts his voice ringing out into the air. "We've both done terrible and horrifying things to others, Boone! Bitter Springs, Red Rock and Nelson! Hell in Nelson we sniped NCR men, why? because they would've been killed? Sure but we could've hit the guys that were about to kill them, but no it was easier the way we had it done, our hands are bloody so what if we add on a little more. If we don't kill them, those innocent lives… then we could jeopardize the lives of hundreds of thousands possibly even millions of lives. Do you want that, Craig?" Agvir asks fire raging in his eyes behind the dark sunglasses. Boone stops moving for a second.
"No I don't." Boone says peering into his binoculars again as Jon loads a clip and flicks the safety off. The mass of people travel slightly back, toward the hills. Agvir strikes a match on his shoe and lights a cigarette looking through his scope with the burnt ash hanging limply on the end of the cigarette.
"Front right, large female blonde hair aim… just right of the chest wind speed calibrated at 2mph us to them." Boone croaks softly.
"Target sighted." Agvir says resting his finger on the cold metallic lever.
"Fire." Boone breathes. Agvir pulls the trigger and the rifle kicks back into his shoulder, using this momentum he cocks another round into place. The bullet had hit its mark dead on, the woman strapped with explosives was blown apart along with ten others around her including three small children.
"Back left, Small female, blonde hair. Aim to the right and down one degree." Boone iterates perfectly poise.
"Sight…" Agvir says
"Fire." Boone says and Agvir's finger taps against the mechanism but he stops. Looking through the scope he notices something strange about this woman something familiar. His mind flashes back to the time in Goodsprings right after he got shot, she had taught him how to fire a weapon with accuracy.
"S-Sunny…" He croaks "Oh good god." Boone looks at him and raises an eyebrow. Agvir shakes it off and goes back the scope. He fires and blasts his cousins upper chest, neck and consequently head off. She blows up and takes out people in a short radius of her causing secondary explosions to go off taking out the rest of the mob of people. A lot of Machine gun, rifle and many more guns are heard in the distance, tremendous thumps are heard in the close distance. The radio crackles with panicked shouts and gunfire.
"Emerald Line, report over. Diamond line, send status over." Boone shouts into the radio. The radio cackles with static. "No response." Agvir slings the rifle over his shoulder and sprints to the other side of the roof, Boone follows closely.
Down below Brigade tanks were rolling across the rough sandy desert kicking up dust, firing their Mgs at the Mojave soldiers who, deeply entrenched taking pot shots at the enemy. The tanks roll over the barbed wire letting soldiers charge through to take the trenches, the first lines are mowed down by .50 cal and rifle fire. A tank stops roughly 5 meters in front of the trench lines. Their guns shift down and fire cratering a side of the trench in. It pulls forward and is blown up by a mine, brigade troops surge around the flaming husk as an Mg sets up and starts covering the destroyed area with massive amounts of fire. Above a dogfight between Mojave air power, Verts and Drones are taking on the superiority of Brigades air power. The drones would fly up high and dive at targets of opportunity, a term later called run-and-gun technique. The Vertibirds are using their superior gun technology to fire into a mass of enemy planes and take down what they could. The AA from the Boomers and that which was set up in hills and plains of the Mojave are continually firing upward with deep thumpa thumpa thums, tracers flying through the sky and arc into black explosions that tear up the wings. Over at Camp Golf, hundreds of Bombers fill the sky releasing black tears that cry into the morning air and pound into the ground, Mgs fire upwards and guns from Black Mountain try to snipe down the enemy bombers they manage to knock two or three down but they keep getting pummeled. Along I-15 a Convoy comprised a jeep and 30 trucks of Brigade soldiers move up in attack convoy, soon enough they come under heavy rifle fire from Black Mountain, Col. Michaels and the Novac garrison hit the CCKW drivers and tires halting the advance, troops start jumping out of the trucks only to be pinned down but sniper, rifle and Mg fire.
All of this information is coming to Jon Agvir and the Council all at once the Battle Map laid out on the Conference table is flush with red, blue, green, orange and tan colored dots which are being moved as the battle goes on.
"Jon, Diamond and Emerald are getting hit hard;(look at that semi colon!) Ruby is sending some CQC to assist." Boone says putting his radio down.
"Alright guys, Boone and I are going down to Diamond, I want Veronica and Arcade to suit up (Power Armour) and head down to Emerald right now, ill contact you in your earpieces if I need any support. Command staff, Hsu, Hanlon and Moore i need you to head to the North and set up in front of Julie's triage centre, don't let anything come through that line. Oh Julie! Rexxie—" Rex barks happily. "I want you to find Julie and protect her." He barks again "Alright everyone this is a major targe-" Three black planes zoom past the massive window, strafing the I-15 trench. The Council room goes quiet.
"Everybody, you know where to go, get movin, move yer asses!" Agvir shouts, waving to the elevator and stair doors, everyone crowds to the stairs moving swiftly down. Boone and Agvir are left standing in the room, loading their clips, checking their sights and pulling a couple of Super Stimpacks with them. Stepping out of the elevator Agvir stops and thinks quickly.
"Head on out ill be there in a sec." Agvir moves over to the box Pearl gave him as Boone walks out and starts sniping at Planes, bringing one down. Inside the Capital Building, Agvir is setting up RDX charges on the four directions setting three 20lb charges up in an area. He soon gets out of the 38, pulling on his giblets to comfort his walk.
"What was that about man?" Boone asked putting a new clip in.
"Hmm? Oh had to take a leak." Agvir said sketchily as the sound of battle rages in the air. "Lets move!" the team fast jog out of the Strip and into Freeside, Rushing past the few civs who stayed and most of the Kings gang who decided to scatter. They burst out of Freeside and into the desert, sprinting down the side of the Freeside wall. Bullets pitter into the dirt in front of them cracking a rock in two. A deep hissing noise flies over their heads and hits part of the freeway knocking it down. In a dead sprint they leap into the farthest back trench line of Diamond entrenchment. The sergeant raises a pistol at the two before realizing who they are. "What's the situation sergeant?" Agvir bellows over the din of battle.
"Not good, sir." He bellows pressing his back against the trench wall. "The Brigade breached the primary trench. We got Mgs holding them back but they're low on ammo!" a shower of dirt floods the trench.
"Where is the ammo?" Boone says calmly as he aims down range at a tank gunner.
"Either fired or blown up!" He says panicking with adrenaline. Agvir swore, thinking quickly he shoots a brigadier who fires an RPG into the air. Agvir grabs the radio from his belt loop.
"T-bird, Thunder 2 this is Big Pops over!" He says into the radio.
"Poppa 1, this is Thunder 4-2, T-bird 2-2 is down, do you need something over?" the pilot asked. "Thunder 4-2, fire mission, mark 10 meters forward of trench diamond, area will be marked with black smoke, blast the area over." Agvir shouts into the radio pressing his back against the dirty wall.
"10-4, Big Poppa fire mission in coming entering East and egressing Northwest" The pilot cuts the radio and banks into the strafing run, hitting the area hard destroying a brigade tank. He banks north as two Hurricanes follow it. Agvir runs through the lines to the forward line, Boone hangs back and fires at enemies from his position.
"They're pushing hard! AUGH!" A soldier says as he gets shot in the chest. Agvir hunkers himself down into the trenches with his men. His heartbeat is pounding in his ears. His movements are slow and methodic, stand, aim, fire, down and reload, stand, aim, fire, down and reload; his men poke the barrels of their guns up to the Mojave air reloading. The trenches are filled with bodies from both sides. Medical teams drag wounded warriors across the rough terrain, leaving long blood trails in their wake. Pressing hard on the wall Agvir reloads his clip. The Mojave soldiers press against the wall with him.
"They're pushing hard-" Boom a shower of dirt and metal hit in front of the trench, everyone is jolted to the ground, but get back to cover. "Throw some frags!" Three frags are thrown over and explode killing five brigadiers.
Boone fires at a line of men, one with a large tank on his back that is coming near Agvir's AO. When the flamethrower explodes fire comes sporadically over the trenches, being snuffed out by boots. Additional tanks fire at the trench caving it in; there are now two breaches in the line with troops pouring through. The young President looks around him into his troopers eyes; he can see the fear almost tangible in them. Looking up Jon notices that there is little to no air coverage, most had either been destroyed or are fighting the enemy fighters and now Bombers. He bites his lip in concentration.
"Fuck it!" Agvir says. "All Hands pull back to Bravo trench line, Move back!" the troops shamble to the middle line of the three trench formation. Agvir sets a minute long fuse Dynamite on the ground and covers it up with bullets shells. He's sprinting through the trench connectors as dirt flies around him. He shoots past the corner and slams against the walls. Boone comes up behind him and reloads his clip.
"We're getting spread really thin really quickly, here." Boone shouts above the gunfire. Agvir's Dynamite goes off sending two or three soldiers flying into the air. The sour smell of sweat, blood and gunpowder filled the air. A squad from Ruby trench crosses the road and dives into the trench. "Where do you need us?!" Jon is frozen with a dread "Sir what're your orders!" Jon presses against dirt wall of the trench. Jon looks behind the battle to the north and sees a blue line advancing rapidly to the trench. A line of tanks stops right before the first trench line.
"Get as many rifleman into Vegas as possible! Set up barricades and get as high up as you can-"
"Its no use sir, the minute we pop our heads up they'll cut us down." One ignites a fire on a special nozzle off to the side of the barrel. The tank shoots a jet of liquid fire into the trench line directly to the right of Agvir and Boone. Two medics rush up and cover them with a cloak to snuff the fire. "Move these men back!" those men are pulled into the farthest trench. Agvir hears a rapid Thumm-thumm-thum.
"We're trapped!" A soldier cries "We're all gunna die-" A streak of light runs into his chest silencing him forever. The brigade swarmed the first trench blind firing and peeking over to take shots at the Mojave men. The noise was getting louder Agvir looked knowingly behind them. He grabs Boone's Binoculars and holds them up looking behind them. He brings them down slowly grinning with glee.
"Grenades over, now!" He shouts and pulls and chucks a grenade over the side, landing and exploding on the sand in between the two trenches. Five other men hear the command and lob frags up and over, one lands in the trench doing damage to the enemy; the other one is tossed back over to the Mojave's forward trench and explodes mid-air. "Get down now! Switch to Semi Auto! Support the reinforcements!" a flurry of bullets streak above the trench from behind, a deafening roar is heard and 100 massive blue super mutants leap 10ft above the trenches into the brigades. Lily draws her Vertibird blade and runs four soldiers through, she kicks and punches at the flings them into the Mojave's trenches who are firing at the enemies farther down range. Lily is hacking and slashing the invaders to bitsq. A tank advances on her, she grasps her sword by the handle, pulls back and whips it into the tanks chassis, making it stick out awkwardly. Boone peeks over and snipes a bazooka man who would've killed Lily. The Super Mutants are now dealing with the massive amounts of tanks that're engaging them. Ripping the turrets off of the tanks and flinging them at the other tanks.
"Pull back! All hands pull back into the city." Agvir shouts above the chaos incarnate not 100 yards from him. The troops pull themselves out of the trenches tearing toward North Vegas. Agvir and Boone walk epically behind their troops wiping sweat and blood off his brow and glasses.
"Craig , I need you to take 100 riflemen and head up to the hills in front of Vegas." A Vertibird crashes behind the two. "Snipe enemies as they're headed up to Jamestown." Boone angrily at Agvir.
"Im not leaving you, Jon." Boone gruffs with disdain. Agvir grabs Boone's arm and takes off his glasses staring into Boone's eyes.
"Craig! That is an order from an officer. You will do this or I will shot you myself." Agvir's grip on him tightens. "You are the best damned sniper we have, I need you to do this for me." Boone starts to say something "You will be protecting innocent lives Boone. You can cause the blood flow to stop!"
"You are my best friend Jon; I can't just leave you here. I will not do this!" Boone says with raising anger in his voice.
"You will go! Or all of this, the lives of the soldiers and the lives of those hunert (Hundred accented) civs we killed will be for nothing!" they round a corner and see the Mojave troops organized into squad lines. Agvir and Boone walk up to blasted car he stands up on top of it.
"Alright, guys!" Agvir booms in his deep voice. "I realize that we have lost a lot of Men, but we must stay strong! Not for my sake not for Boone's and defiantly not for the Mojave… we fight for all those Women, Children, Elderly and Infirm… we don't fight for caps or a big city in the desert. Today, we fight for Jamestown… the city that took our refugees, even though they're all mutants! Most of us hate muties for no reason other than they're bigger than us! Now those mutants are holding back the enemy, so we can organize another defensive. So I want you all to fight for your wife, children, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters… but mostly I want you to fight for your Independence and your Freedom! Boone select your riflemen and head to the hills! The rest I need inside Vegas for the last stand. May whatever god, guide you on your Journey." Agvir steps down off the car roof the men start chanting 'for the Mojave, for the Mojave!' which slowly changes to 'Agvir, Agvir, Agvir'. Jon stops and looks at his men and raises his gun to the air and shouts. The soldiers raise their guns and shout in solidarity.
