Newbie – Clint Barton
Before I had arrived at SHIELD I had read up on the files of all the Avengers, making me know almost everything about each of them. I was walking confidently behind Fury as he led me to the bridge of the Helicarrier. I admit I wasn't too fond of this ship just being suspended in the air; I was more of a ground or sea girl to be honest. I saw the Avengers gathered in what looked like the main control room of the ship and immediately felt their stares on me.
I noticed one of them with their eyes glued to my chest and cleared my throat, making his gaze snap up to my face as he realised he'd been caught. He was actually rather attractive.
"We have a newbie!" Stark exclaimed, grinning.
"Leave her be, I imagine she doesn't want your pathetic attempts on her." Captain America commented, making the two of them have a bickering match. The rest of them rolled their eyes before focusing their attention on me again.
"This is Agent Hunter." Fury announced.
"Wouldn't it be helpful if they actually knew my name?" I remarked, giving Fury a look which made his facial expression turn blanker than it usually was. I heard a few chuckles before turning to face the Avengers. "Mollie Hunter." I introduced myself, seeing the attractive man was the one who laughed at my remark.
They took turns in saying their names; although I knew them anyway it was common courtesy that I listened to them while they said their real name instead of their SHIELD given ones.
After Fury held a meeting, which was really mostly just Stark goofing around and Fury shouting at him to stop, I walked over to the table and began looking over the military tactics they had. I sensed someone walking up behind me and glanced back to see Clint pout at me, making me laugh lightly.
"I was gonna sneak up on you. You just ruined it."
"Aw, I'm sorry. Do it again." I turned my back to him again before hearing him walk closer and his hands pressed down onto my shoulders, making me release a very fake sounding scream. Clint laughed and I turned my head back to see him smiling down at me.
"You have humour, I like it. Not many people round here do, Stark can just be annoying though so he doesn't count." He peered round me and looked down at the papers on the table. "What you doing?" he asked, moving to stand beside me.
"Just looking, although some of these could be a little updated. The tactics used could be so much better, especially with the resources you guys have here." I replied, pointing to the different sections which I thought should be changed.
"Hmm, military smart and humorous. That's hot, I like it very much." He flashed me a smirk and I couldn't help but laugh.
"If I remember correctly, you were the one staring at my chest as soon as I walked in here." I remarked.
"Eh, couldn't help it. You're very well-endowed in the chest area." He motioned with his hands as I laughed again. "It's nice to look at." He grinned. "Plus your eyes are the brightest emerald green I've ever seen."
"If I'm not mistaken, I'd say you're flirting with me Mr Barton."
"Oh really?" He arched an eyebrow as he looked at me. "Is it working?"
"Maybe, we'll just have to see. I'll tell you the answer at seven o'clock in the training room where the targets are." I replied, smiling before walking towards the exit of the room.
"Yes! Got a date!" I heard just before the door swung shut behind me. I laughed to myself as I made my way down the long corridor of the Helicarrier.
