Faded memory – Thor
I sat on the chair in a lab as Doctor Banner ran some blood tests on me, making me cringe every time I caught sight of the needle. When he'd finished I wandered off, already having memorised my way around the ship which they called a Helicarrier. I spotted Thor talking with Agent Phil Coulson and turned a little shy when the God looked over at me. I turned my head away and fiddled with the purple side of my hair, walking across to the other side of the bridge. I saw one of the men playing a card game on one of the expensive computers and pointed to the card he should use, receiving a smile of thanks.
"You need to recalibrate the system, it won't work correctly otherwise." I said quietly as an agent was becoming frustrated with one of the other computers. He nodded and began fiddling with the wires at the back while I wandered off again, imprinting every single detail of the room into my brain; sort of like a blueprint.
I jumped when a large hand pressed down onto my shoulder and turned my head back to see Thor, feeling my cheeks begin to heat up again. I returned a small smile as he greeted me and managed to fight the blush on my face off enough so I could turn around and face him properly instead of being side on.
"I am not complaining, but why were you in the woods? You could have gotten hurt."
"I-I don't know. I can't remember anything from before being in the woods." I replied softly, looking up at his face to see him staring intently down at me with his deep blue eyes.
"You really do not remember?" I shook my head. "But you have an eidetic memory, you have only been here as long as I have and you already know the whole layout of this ship."
"That's what haunts me. It scares me that I don't know my past, but I can remember every tiny detail from now onwards." I cracked my fingers nervously before Thor placed a large hand over the both of mine, successfully stopping me from doing it.
"You do not have to be scared my lady, I will protect you from anything that poses a danger to you." I allowed a smile to slip onto my face as my cheeks turned a lovely shade of pink, making Thor grin as he looked down at me. "I never heard you name fair maiden, would you please enlighten me with it?"
"Abigail." I replied softly, seeing the smile on his face grow.
"Abigail, should anyone hurt you they will know the wrath of Thor Odinson and will never pose a threat to you again. And perhaps your faded memory will come back to you in time, but for now I will help you whichever way that you need."
"Your help is very much appreciated Thor, thank you." I smiled, noticing his cheeks had turned a very light shade of pink which matched my own.
