Insane – Tony Stark

"I don't know what to do!" I stressed, tugging on my hair; making Tony gently grab my wrists to stop me.

"Maybe he's changed." Tony suggested, making me cringe slightly.

"Yeah, but which way? You don't know what an asylum can do to someone's mental state." I stopped all movement when his arms went around me and Tony hugged me tightly to his chest, making my cheek rest against his arc reactor which illuminated my face a light blue from the glow.

My eyes slipped shut as I allowed myself to lean on him slightly enjoying the comfort that he provided me. Twelve years I've had for this crush to develop into something more, twelve years I've lived with him from being saved by his parents from my bad home situation.

"How 'bout we go let off some out your steam with the suits?" he suggested, making me look up at his face with a grimace.

"There's no time, he's already on his way here now. It just depends on how fast the van drives." A high pitched beep sounded, telling us that someone was on their way up the penthouse which was the top floor Tony and I lived on, and I freaked out a little; jumping away from the handsome man that I'd grown to love more than a best friend with a look of panic on my face. "How is he here already?! I swear they just left!"

"Elisse, listen to me." I ignored Tony's comment and continued acing around the large living area of the penthouse, running my hands through my hair as the nerves started building up inside of me. "Elisse!" Large hands grabbed a hold of the tops of my arms and my eyes nearly fell out their sockets as a pair of warm lips connected with my own, making me release a strangled squeal of shock. "Calm now?" I looked at Tony with wide eyes as he stared down at me with a small smile quirking the corner of his lips upwards.

"Y-you kissed me." I stuttered slightly dumbly, stating the obvious. Tony chuckled and smoothed the hair off my face which had come undone from the ponytail I had it in earlier.

"Well done genius." He teased, poking my nose playfully before my next question was cut off by the elevator doors opening to reveal a rather healthy looking man that was remarkably similar in looks as me.

"Holy s-" Tony's hand stopped the curse leaving my mouth before I pulled it off and tentatively walked over to who I presumed was my brother. "Ben?" I asked, looking up at the man's face a little unsure of myself.

"Long time no see sis." He smiled, making my eyes widen as he engulfed me into a hug; nearly lifting me off the floor as he did so.

"You look, good." I said slightly surprised which made him laugh.

"Yeah, I bet you weren't expecting me to huh?" I shook my head guiltily, causing him to ruffle my hair like he used to when we were younger. I never realised how much I actually missed him doing that. "You were the only good thing in my life Elsie, I held onto you even though I was locked away."

After a few more minutes of brotherly-sisterly time, Ben was now in his new room unpacking and I was working on getting Stark cornered so I could grill him about the kiss earlier. I blocked the doorway he was about to go through by standing right in the middle of it, making him look down at me with an eyebrow raised.

"Why did you kiss me?" I demanded, knowing that if I just asked it he would dodge around the actually question and come back with a sarcastic smart ass remark. "And I want the real reason Tony." I added, making him sigh before his hands came up and cupped the sides of my face as his brown eyes looked down into my own.

"The past couple of years something has been different about you for me, I felt an unfamiliar feeling that I've rarely felt before and I noticed all the small hints you were throwing my way. I thought why not? She obviously feels the same way, so why not try it out?" he said, making me swallow out of nervous habit.

"You're damn lucky I'm used to your blunt ways by now stark." I remarked, making him flash me a grin; showing his white teeth.

"Twelve years baby." He smiled. "Twelve years was all it took to find the one I love."
