Quick reflexes – Clint Barton

I was boxing with Steve in the training room before quickly grabbing my staff and hitting an offending arrow away, laughing slightly as I heard a groan from the rafters. I looked up just in time to see Clint jump down with a small scowl on his face, making me smile. I replaced my staff on the table as Steve chuckled.

"I would have thought you'd learnt by now." He smiled, looking at Clint.

"I'm still hoping." He muttered as I grinned.

"Good luck with that Hawkeye." Clint waved his finger at me and I tried to bite it, making him quickly jerk his hand back to his chest. "Do it again and I'll bite you." I warned, making him smile smugly before poking my cheek. I snapped my head to the side and latched my teeth onto his finger, biting down slightly.

"Ow! Look Steve, I caught a mutant!" I glanced over at one of my best friends and saw him laughing at the two of us.

"You two are ridiculous." He shook his head. "You would suit each other." Clint and I froze and looked at Steve who had a triumphant smile on his face before walking out the room, leaving the two of us with his finger still between my front teeth.

"Well this is awkward." Clint muttered, tugging on his finger to get it back.

"Do you not like me then?" I asked through his finger, making him look at me.

"Of course I like you! Why wouldn't I? Wait, what do you mean by like?"

I released his finger and took a chance by grabbing the sides of his face and pulling him down to my level, kissing him quickly before letting him go again; blushing lightly as he stared at me in shock. I puffed my cheeks out before turning and walking away, leaving the man I'd been crushing on for a while now alone in the training room.

As I was walking down the hall towards my room feeling a little sorry for myself as well as a little foolish, I mean, why would he actually like a mutant like me? I sighed quietly before yelping as I was grabbed, but before I could do anything a pair of warm lips were pressed against my own, making me wave my hands uselessly.

"Guess I do have quicker reflexes than you." Clint smiled cheekily, making me release the breath I had been holding. "And I've rendered you from speak, damn I'm good."

"You forgot the part where you're completely modest too." I smiled, pulling him closer and kissing him.

"That too." He said against my lips, making me smile.
