Shy – Thor

"Who is that shy maiden?" Thor asked, not so quietly, to Agent Coulson; making me blush as his blue eyes stared intently at me while I stood beside my father. My father's Nick Fury, Director of SHIELD, so as you can imagine he wasn't very happy with the God of Thunder eyeing me up.

Surprisingly he said nothing, just tensed a little as Phil answered the posed question. I discretely glanced over at the handsome man, but quickly looked away again when his gaze caught mine. The Helicarrier suddenly veered off to the side violently, making everyone stumble to try and keep their footing as the ship nearly turned sideways. I grabbed hold of my father's arm to steady the both of us before shuffling my way to the windows where I could see a strong wind blowing straight in our direction, making me look over at my father. He nodded and I hurried out of the room, making my way up to the roof hatch where I would be surrendered to the elements outside; but it didn't really bother me that much seeing as I could control nature, therefore changing the wind direction would be easy for me.

I squeaked as I was nearly blow away and quickly grabbed the edge of the metal grate, holding myself in place before squinting my eyes open again, cringing as the wind made them sting from the harshness of the blow. I tried lifting my arms up, but had to grab the edge of the hatch again to stop myself from falling.

"Ashley, how's everything up there?!" I heard my father call form down in the Helicarrier.

"Bad, I can't let go otherwise I'll be blown away; literally." Lightning flashed a few hundred feet away from the large ship, making me squint as the light hurt my eyes. "Plus there's a storm heading this way." I jumped as Thor suddenly joined me on the roof, deflecting the lightning with his hammer before looking at me.

"I heard you needed assistance fair maiden." He smiled, making my cheeks burn slightly from the blush that flowed through them; but I could just blame that on the cold wind. I nodded and his large arm curled around my back, pulling me clear of the hatch and somehow he kept us both secure on top of the Helicarrier roof; but then I remembered that he is actually a God.

Now that I could lift my arms up without having to worry about being blown away, I was able to deflect the wind and make it blow in the opposite direction so that it was actually helping us fly in the direction we needed to go in. There was a rough bump as the wind got caught underneath the ship for a second which made Thor and I tumble through the hatch and back into the Helicarrier, making me land on top of him as he was on his back.

"Sorry." I apologised as his blue eyes looked up at mine, shifting slightly as his armour dug into my hip a little. His large hands were resting on my back as mine were on his broad chest, lifting myself up off his slightly.

"I would rather it was me than you Ashley." He said, smiling up at me. "I do not wish for you to get hurt because of me." I felt myself blush lightly before it darkened when I realised my father and the rest of the Avengers were standing in the doorway of the bridge, looking at us.

"Well, looks like Thunder's getting some." Tony remarked, earning himself a slap to the back of the head from my father which made Thor laugh.

"The only thing I wish to 'get' man of metal is the love of this fair maiden that happened to fall on me." I might as well have my cheeks painted red for the amount of times Thor had made me blush in the span of about ten minutes, but I couldn't deny that I didn't find him attractive and I was growing quite fond of him.
