Thunderstorms – Thor
"Stay away from me! I don't want anything to do with you anymore!" I yelled at my father who had followed me out the house when I went to go find a peaceful place without him shouting obscenities in my ear all the time. Thunder cracked throughout the dark sky, but I ignored it as the arsehole followed me outside.
"You're my responsibility, so get your arse back in the house now!"
"I'm twenty; I don't have to listen to you anymore! It's not like you did anything responsible anyway!" The storm started getting worse, but I didn't even contemplate going back inside that house with that poor excuse for a father. I continued walking away while he shouted at me, ignoring the fact that wandering around alone this time of night could be dangerous.
I found myself in a dilapidated clearing with dead trees and thought of the irony of being attacked here where no one was near enough to help me. I paused as I heard footsteps behind me and cursed in my head for jinxing myself. I ran a little ways away before climbing up onto a pile of rocks and sitting down with my legs hanging off the edge.
"Fair maiden, what are you doing out here?" I heard a loud voice from the ground and looked down from my perch to see a rather large man with blonde hair down to his shoulders in some sort of armour.
"Sitting?" I answered more as a question, wobbling slightly as I moved too close to the edge of the rock. His laugh boomed through the night and it was a heart-warming sound compared to the yells of my father.
"My name is Thor Odinson, God of Thunder. What be your name fair lady?"
"Amelia." I replied, feeling myself slipping from the slick rock due to the rain. I released a squeak as I slipped off the rock and felt myself fall until two large arms caught me by holding me bridal style. I looked to see that Thor had caught me before I hit the muddy ground and looked up at his face to see him smiling.
"It is not often I get beautiful Midgardian women falling into me." he chuckled, making me blush lightly.
"Wait, did you say God of Thunder?" I looked at him questioningly and he grinned which was enough to melt my heart like a puddle of goo.
"Yes my lady, I am from Asgard."
"Would it be strange to say that thunderstorms are my favourite type of weather?" I asked, making his grin grow.
"It would not be strange at all my fair maiden; it is a compliment that I am grateful to receive from a beautiful woman such as yourself." I felt myself blush again before a shiver racked through my body as the cold finally began getting to me from the constant rain. "Allow me to get you to shelter my lady."
I looked at him in confusion before squealing in fright as I found both of us in the air, making him laugh as my arms latched tightly around his shoulders while I tried not to look down. I kept my eyes squeezed shut as the I felt the wind blow against my face, most likely making my nose and cheeks pink from the cold.
"Amelia, you can open your eyes; we are here." I opened my eyes to see Thor looking at me with a smile before realising that he'd taken me to the top of Stark Tower. He walked inside and immediately caught the attention of Tony Stark himself.
"Thor! Never knew you were the type to bring the ladies home!" he grinned.
"Amelia, this is the man of iron." Thor smiled, making me giggle slightly as Tony rolled his eyes.
"Tony Stark." He said, holding his hand out. I reached out from my place in Thor's arms as he hadn't let me go and shook his hand.
"Amelia Mills." I smiled, making him nod.
"She needs a place to reside, I will be taking her to my chambers." My eyes widened and Tony's eyebrows rose after Thor's comment.
"Have fun then big guy." He winked before going back to whatever he was doing before as Thor walked down a hall and into a dim room which I guessed was his bedroom.
"Do not worry my lady, you will be safe from the man that was yelling." I snapped my head to look at the God in front of me once he'd put me down on the bed.
"You saw that?" I asked, fiddling with my fingers in my lap as he perched himself next to me on the edge of the bed.
"Yes, he has very foul language for such a woman as yourself." A frown creased his forehead slightly and I rubbed at my eyes with the heels of my hands before looking at him again.
"That was my father." I said quietly, making his attention immediately focus on me.
"Your father treats you like that? With such little respect for his family?" I nodded and he looked outraged as he stood up and paced the room, his armour disappearing and instead more normal clothes took its place.
He suddenly moved back to me so his face was only a few inches away, making me jump slightly as I wasn't expecting him to come back this near. His deep blue eyes searched my own and I felt a light flutter in my chest as I noticed the swirls of lighter blue nearer his irises.
"You deserve better my lady, no man shall speak ill of you when I am near or he shall have to face the wrath of Thor Odinson." He said firmly after staring at me for a couple of minutes. I noticed his large hand was resting on my knee and tentatively reached out and slipped my fingers under his, seeing the size difference.
He glanced down at our entwined hands before looking up at my face again, a new light shining in his ocean like eyes.
"My lady, you are the most beautiful creature I've ever had the luck to set my eyes on. You are not like the women back on Asgard, you are smaller; more fragile and I would like to take it upon myself to see that you are safe for the rest of your life." His voice was deep and smooth as his eyes seemed to pierce through me and I found myself nodding, making his lips turn up at the corners in a smile.
His lips touched lightly against mine and I found myself pressing closer to him, nearly falling off the edge of the bed and having to get him to catch me to stop my body from falling to the floor. I heard him chuckle as he sat me back onto the soft mattress.
"I'll happily let you do that." I breathed as his nose bumped against mine, making him smile.
"Good job Thunder!" I heard Tony's voice yell from somewhere in the penthouse. Thor laughed loudly as I felt the pink blush that ran through my cheeks.
