hey guys. i told there was a cliffhanger. Don't worry I didn't leave this one with one. I hope you guys enjoys I promise to update soon.

After hearing that Sam had been shot, everything was just a blur. The ride from Toronto to St. Catherine's was the longest car ride of Andy's life.

Now she's running into the hospital as fast as she can. She needs to see him. She needs for him to be okay.

"Sam Swarek," She breaths out to the nurse at the information desk.

"Is he any relations to you?" The nurse asked as she looked up the name.

"Umm. Well no." Andy manages to say as she catches her breath.

"I'm sorry ma'am I can't give you any information."

Andy pulled her badge out of her pocket fiercely and slammed it down on the counter top. The nurse looked at the badge as it said 'TORONTO' on it.

"I'm sorry ma'am but this isn't you're district detective or not."

Andy started to whimper "Please," She said as the tears ran down her checks.

The nurse felt bad for the young detective and sigh. "The best I can do is if you're on his emergency contact list..." She said as she started her search through Sam's records. "Looks like it hasn't been updated in a few years." She said looking up at Andy.

She had her arms crossed on the counter top but when she heard his emergency contact list hasn't been update in a few years she felt like giving up. She laid her head on her arms and let the tears fall.

"I have a Jerry Barber and Oliver Shaw as Brothers. A Sarah Swarek as sister and an Andy McNally as wife. Maybe you can call one of them to see if they will give you any news."

Andy's body stiffed as she heard Jerry's name but her head shot up as she heard hers with wife following it. She quickly handed her ID to nurse.

The nurse smiled sweetly at the detective as she got the information. "You're husband is in surgery right now. If you go up to the fourth floor there is the waiting room left of the elevator. I do believe his sister and Staff Sergeant are already there."

Andy quickly said 'thank you' and ran to the elevator.

When she made it up to the waiting room Sarah was there waiting on her. As soon as Sarah saw her she broke down and ran to her. They stood in the middle of the room just holding each other until Nick and Fiona entered the room and urged them to sit in the chairs before either of them fell down. After about an hour of silence, Andy was able to ask what happened.

"Someone had a vendetta against our division. Somehow he got hold of a uniform and gun. He got in to the building without being noticed. But Sam noticed so he started shooting. He shot Sam twice in the stomach, another officer in the shoulder."

Andy just closed her eyes as the tears came out, praying he would be okay. She needed him to be okay. Next thing she heard was her name being called. She looked up at a young nurse in scrubs.

"Would you like see your husband?"
She just nodded and stood up and walked to the nurse.

The nurse turned to the others and said "The doctor will be with you shortly. Then one at a time can come in with Ms. McNally."

Fiona looked at her mother. "Not that I'm happy but when did that happen?"

"I have no idea." Sarah told her daughter. "But I'm sure we will find out."

Then the doctor came in. "Hi, I'm Dr. Hatcher. As I just told Detective Swarek's wife. He is stable and I am sure of a full recovery." The doctor paused. "Let's give husband and wife sometime together then a nurse will come and get one of you to go see Detective Swarek." He turned and left the room.

"Sam Swarek, you need to wake up. Soon." Andy said as she pressed his hand to her face.

"Hey," Sarah said walking into the room.

"Hey." Andy said watching go the other side of the bed and sit down.

"So, want to tell me anything?" Sarah asked in humor. Andy looked at her confused. "Husband and wife?"

"Umm. No we're not. When I was at the information desk they weren't going to let me see him. The nurse gave me names of people on his emergency contact list to call for updates. She told me that it hadn't been updated in a while. Jerry, Oliver and you were on there. Then she said 'Wife Andy McNally' I almost fainted."

"He hasn't change it since Jerry?"

Andy shrugged "I guess not."

Things went quite for a while until Sarah's phone went off. "Fiona's here to pick me up do you need anything before I leave?"

Andy just shook her head no. Never taking her eyes off of Sam.

"Okay Love you."

Andy murmured it back.

Hours later Andy had fallen asleep with her head on the edge of the bed. She was having a nightmare of Sam not making it.

She woke to someone playing with her hair. She kept her eyes shut until she remembered where she was. She shot her eyes open looking up into the eyes she loves so much.

"Hey," He croaked out.

Andy shot up peppering his face with kisses everywhere. Sam grabbed her face and made her look him in the eyes. "I'm okay Sweetheart."

"Oh Sam," She whimpered as she kissed his wrist. "I was so scared."

"I'm here. I'm okay. I'm not going anywhere." He told her kissing her forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you too sweetheart."
